It was short, nice, steamy read. Although I expected something different beacuse I was looking for a book with Christmas spirit, I liked it overall. It was just enough to read in one sitting.

This is my last downloaded novella from the collection called The 12 NA's of Christmas. In the interest of fairness I bought many of the 12 NA's of Christmas apparently without doing due diligence to make sure they were good book fits for me and they have all been varying degrees of misses for my tastes. At 99 cents I thought they were good risks since they are all novellas and thus aren't huge time investment and at a dollar aren't expensive. But like I stated, they just weren't good book fits for me.

This story was probably the biggest miss of all of them. It was the most soap operish with elements of fantasy wish fulfillment and contrived plot devices that you sometimes find in this genre. Also, it had the same emphasis on detailed sex over romance and character development. If that is what you are looking for than this might be a good fit for you.

The NA's I read in this series (The 12 NA's of Christmas) are of the variety you hear about in many media reports. They are more of the erotica adult romances with characters in the NA range. Many of them had either characters with dark pasts, abusive or neglectful parents (though not this particular one), amped angst and/or dramatics, etc etc. I question the judgement of many of the characters in these stories, especially given that they were supposed to be in their 20's but often sounded like teens. That is what people are thinking New Adult is these days and there is a considerable market for them. It isn't what New Adult means to me though and these are the stories that happen to be my least favorite in this New Adult genre. But I do think that many people will enjoy these even if they weren't my thing.

This story wasn't at all what I thought. It was a very heartwarming story and steamy, but not what I thought. For a novella the storyline had so much depth and detail. It was very well paced and realistically done.
Willow met the man of her dreams... her soulmate... fifteen months ago. Austin Merrick. But he walked out of her life and in that time things have drastically changed in Willows life. When Austin comes back Willow isn't she how to proceed and how to break the news she has. We see two people whom are much in love come back together and have a hell of a journey.
Willow is a favorite for me. She has a lot of strength and is very much a fighter, but yet she still carries a vulnerability that isn't annoying, whiney or overwhelming. She is dealing with 2 very real life issues and I appreciate her strength for it. Austin is... swoony worthy. He is a great guy, he was just lost and was unsure of his self and his life. I appreciate his ability to apologize and admit when he's wrong too.
I LOVED the Christmas theme in this. As in it was hardly there. Its the beginning for the story, but it really just because a day they go through. Not that I don't appreciate a good Christmas book, but the lightness of this one was refreshing. This is a great read and I highly recommend you take the time to read it.

until they meet again

This was a good quick read.
Everything in the story moved so fast that I had to double back to make sure I didn't miss anything. Some things were left out about how someone got there until you read they were there but it was a cute story.
Willow meet a man she feel in love with in 8 weeks and then he left her without saying goodbye.she found out she was pregnant and after 15 months he sent her an email saying he wanted to explain everything to her about why he left.
She meant with him and she told him about their daughter but he didn't believe her since he was told he couldn't have children based on his late wife. After pictures were sent to him he knew Emma was his. He came back into their lives to found out willow have spine cancer: after a black our she experienced he took her, Emma, her mom and sisters back to Texas to live with him.
He got her the bet doctor for her condition and when she meant with the doctor she found out she hand more tumors. After making the decision to have surgery she got married to Austin within days. She survived the surgery is live happy ever after.

Although I enjoyed this book I feel the story would have been served better as a full length novel. There are a couple of major issues (that I won't give away) that needed a little more face time in order to be truly believable. As a novella they were dealt with a little too quickly for my liking.

I really liked Willow with her fire, quick mouth and no nonsense attitude but I felt that Austin's character wasn't developed enough to fully appreciate. I wish I could have known a little more of his back story. Again, another reason that a full length novel would have been more enjoyable

As with all novella's that I review, I am keeping this short so that I don't give anything away. If you like a quick and easy read about young love/lust with a lot of descriptive, steamy sex scenes then you should definitely read this novella. At 92 pages you will have it read in no time. I did like it but I think I would have loved it as a full story with all of the gaps filled in.

I am thoroughly enjoying Breena Wilde’s Blurred Lines series, which is why I picked up this book. Frosted Midnight is part of the 12 NAs of Christmas and labled as an “erotic Christmas love story”. She did a great job developing her characters and story line for the short novella. It is hard to get that much depth in such a short amount of time. HOWEVER, I just didn’t like the story line. At all. It just didn’t work for me, but know that there are those out there that will love it. Cancer and sex just don’t make for a happy party for me and I didn’t really like the guy. It was just weird for me. I will continue with the last two books in the Blurred Lines series that I have yet to read, as well as pick up that Christmas Novella, but that is a story for another day.

Willow is a single Mom carrying burdens I didn't see coming when I started this story. These items gave her greater depth. The father of her baby, Austin, spent 8 weeks in her town 15 months ago and is the love of her life but he disappeared. Then suddenly she gets an email from him. Does she have the strength to find out why he left? Is Austin capable of handling the news he is a Dad?

Breena Wilde pulls you in and crafts 2 wonderful characters with incredible strength and love. As you learn about their world wind romance, well the romantic in me wanted them to have a HEA. Breena then threw me a few curve balls and I was really doubting how this story would end. She keeps you guessing and gives you a great love story to latch onto and root for along the way.

Frosted Midnight is a romance story set against a Christmas time frame. The story itself really had very little to do with Christmas. The novella was 110 pages long in the paperback version. Breena's writing is fluent and comfortable to read. Being New Adult, I expected graphic sexual scenes and they certainly leaped out of the pages. The story however, was not one of depth and the characters were also not real well developed.

For a fast read it qualified. From a Christmas story, it disappointed. For a romance, I enjoyed it. From a sexually explicit standpoint and foul language, this reader did not enjoy it.

I really enjoyed this book

Willow has been through some difficult times. Finding the love of her life only to have him leave her one night without any explanation. She finds out that she is pregnant then a few months later discovers she has cancer. Late one evening she receives an email wanting to see her and explain why he did what he did. The question is will she forgive him, and what will he say about his daughter Emma, and Willows cancer. Some may think this is just an unrealistic mushy story but as a cancer survivor myself I say bring it on. Cancer is a hard to win battle for some of us and this story left me with a smile on my face.

I liked the idea of this story. But it turned out to be completely different from what I expected. I wasn't thrilled with what it did turn out to be like either. It was ok, and I felt for Willow, but I'd have liked it to have been a little less 'dream come true' and more real. And given some of the other subject matter, less erotic would have been a good call too. Still, if you want a sex-charged, Christmas time NA where miracles happen, then this is for you. Pitty though, because the start was excellent.

Willow's story is so heart breaking, loved this story I wish it was longer. I hated Austin at the beginning but I soon changed my mind. A sweet romantic story with a sad twist. Don't want to say to much as I don't want to spoil it for anyone but if you want a quick read I highly recommend this and it was nicely written.

Although this story was short it was very detailed. I don't feel like Breena left out any important details. I enjoyed getting to know Willow and Austin. I laughed, cried and cried some more while reading this novella. I adore Breena's work and this was no exception. A wonderful story about a women who beats almost unbeatable odds to have the man of her dreams.

I enjoyed reading novella. It was romantic and emotional. There were a lot of steamy scenes for a book this short, and some were a little bit too graphic for my liking. However, I liked the concept of this and the wording which was flowing and easy to understand.

Enjoyable novella, not quite what I expected but in a good way- both Willow and Austin had some serious pain and issues to work through but Austin showed some swoonworthy characteristics by the end of the story. 3 1/2 to 4 stars

A good quick read that will grab your emotions until the end when you finally can release that breath that you have been holding. Willow and Austin meet and have a great 8 weeks together, then he leaves. He comes back and everything changes, with a few twists thrown in.

Novella was a quick enjoyable read. I did think the h forgave the H a little to fast. I don't think I could have been so forgiving. But she did have a lot on her plate and her forgiveness could have been a burden released for her.

Fine read. A bit of a cliff hanger and fast. But it has a super sweet story. A bit hilarious as well. :)
