Super smutty menage novella read about the hedonistic prince H of a small and troubled European country, who enjoyes voyeurism and sharing women with his 3 childhood friends/ security personnel. All 4 men were alpha and protective and sweet and demanding of h in bed.
The h enjoyed being submissive, she was sweet and gracious and never took the men for granted - while still staying pragmatic. Initially I thought I'd hate her for being a doormat but she wasn't, she was okay. I wish she hadn't been a virgin but with her mothers illness and school, it makes sense that she wouldn't have time for a relationship.
H was obsessed with h from the time she was 18 and was waiting till she finished college in Paris ( which he was paying for along with her Mom's treatment), but he didn't stay celibate while waiting. The only thing that makes me okay with it was he expected h to date too and h admits she would have had sex, if not for barely having any time to herself!
Another thing that bothered me was all 4 men didn't seem equal in the relationship, h slept (like the 'zzz's) with only the prince and belonged to him and the others seemed to have a lesser level of intimacy even though h admitted she loved them too. I don't like such unequal polyamorous equations and it wasn't clear how it would work in the future with kids and stuff...
Anyway the (few) sex scenes were super hot and this h was okay as far as Maya Banks goes - most recent h's of hers MB really dumps a whole load of cr@p on them, and they're bit of a doormat- and it was a quick and sexy read!

mi chiedo chi è quella mente disturbata che ha scientemente letto, scovato e proposto per la pubblicazione questa enorme, grandissima, incommensurabile, mostruosa cagata!!!! Non mi sono scandalizzata per la scena del sesso di gruppo, ne per la "gang bang". Mi ha fatto proprio schifo l'aria di volemose bene, amore cosmico con cui si è voluto rendere romance un buon libro pornografico. Spero che questa pubblicazione faccia parte del passato e che l'intervista di Sergio Fanucci con LMBR segni uno spartiacque tra queste pubblicazioni e le altre del prossimo futuro!

Dopo il quarto romanzo di Maya Banks che leggo, sono giunta alla conclusione che quest’autrice prediliga uno schema fisso: a prescindere dalle scene sudate e abbastanza coreografiche che sono l’ingrediente principale (il che non guasta mai), il tutto ruota attorno a una lei, con seno e lato B extra-large e con coefficiente intellettivo pari a meno zero, e a un lui, con pacco e conto in banca extra-large e con coefficiente intellettivo pari a meno meno meno zero.
Il risultato è che la storia si trasforma sostanzialmente in una carrellata degli accoppiamenti di questi due graziosi coniglietti lobotomizzati, e la sfida intrinseca che viene posta al lettore è (naturalmente!) tentare di trovare un nesso logico tra la scena pre-amplesso e la scena post.
Estasi Infinita (in originale “Exiled” ) si sottrae in parte a tale schema. In effetti, c’è una fanciulla vergine che – solo per salvare mamma da una grave malattia – accetta di donare la sua innocenza a un principe azzurro che vive su un’isola dei Caraibi (!). Solo che lei ha frainteso i termini dell’accordo e anziché solo il principe, si ritrova lui più altre tre sue guardie, ovviamente sempre con attributi extra-large.
Tutta la storia è così assurda che ogni volta che qualcuno apre bocca risulta involontariamente comico. Non voglio essere ipocrita, e posto che uno si mette a leggere questi romanzi per svago e senza chiedere sforzi eroici alle proprie meningi, trovo che qui i tentativi di dialogo siano quasi irritanti.

This story was disappointing and creepy. Maya Banks is one of my favorite authors, but this story fell short and was difficult to finish. The relationship between Talia and these men disturbed me and the story line felt unrealistic.
The expectations the prince had of a sweet, virginal, young woman and the position he put her in to get her compliance in the beginning of the story just made him seem like a creepy sexual predator. Anything he did from that point on, just served to reinforce that idea. His kindnesses just seemed like manipulations to insure her continued cooperation. The author may have been telling us Prince Xander loved Talia, but it just never felt like he really did. Talia may have been telling us she felt cherished and pampered, but that just made her appear like a naive victim.
I believe the author was shooting for a Prince Charming sweeping in and saving Cinderella type story. That's hard to achieve when the prince subjects his Cinderella to medical exams to insure her virginity and contracts to gain and keep her sexual compliance. On top of that he has dark sexual proclivities and expects her to satisfy not only his sexual desires, but the sexual desires of all 3 of his bodyguards without question and without hesitation. Not exactly most women's idea of Prince Charming.
In the end when she agrees to marry him, my mind was screaming "no, no, run away, run fast and never look back." That would have been the true happy ending, because my gut was telling me she will never find her happily ever after with Xander. One day she will wake up, see things for how they really are and hate the life she's chosen for herself.
Prince Xander, in this story, fits the stereotype of a sexual predator more closely than he fits the stereotype of Prince Charming. That's why I think so many women, including myself, came away from this story feeling unsettled.

This was disappointing because I didn’t think it was an erotic novel. It’s the story of a woman who has sex with four men and falls in love with them. It’s not something I’m into, so I couldn’t enjoy it. Not bdsm but too unrealistic. It would be interesting to understand if it’s perceived that the woman is shared and used by 4 men of if she has a harem of four men that are there for pleasuring her. Different points of view. In the end she marries the king and has this strange relationship with his friends with his blessing. Is she lucky or not? Depends. Sorry, not my cup of tea.

Probably the highest rating I give a novella. It is a fantasy though. It has very little reality in the story. A prince and 3 security guards find their princess. It was a great modern erotic fairy tale. It suited my mood at the time, but if you are looking for a story with reality and common sense this is not the book for you.

Xander is the deposed prince and Garon, Sebastien, & Nico. are his “bodyguards” that he shares everything (re: women) with. Talia is a recent-college-graduate-virgin. Talia is somehow different than all the women they have shared in the past, she is the chosen one. Xander paid all her mother’s medical bills and Talia’s college expenses in exchange for “a favor”. The favor turns out to be her deflowering by 4 men. (this is MFM+)
Convos about Sex. Sex. Vague “feelings” convos. Group Sex. Then Xander suddenly sends Talia away, supposedly for her safety, but without telling her anything. His reasoning nor the story justify keeping her in the dark, but it’s “necessary” so they can make up later and have an HEA. The story somewhat abruptly ends with all forgiven.
Narration:
Vanessa Caine does a fantastic job here. All the characters have accents and unique voices - she switches seamlessly between them all. I’d love to hear more of her work.

Maya Banks wrings the fantasies right out of me! This novella, Tangled Hearts, For Her Pleasure, and Colters' Gift are stories that get me every time. I re-read them so many times there's no way to keep track.

Ed eccoci qui con il primo libro trash dell’anno!

Il 2016 si prospetta un anno colmo di trash in tutte le sue forme, salse e colori. Specialmente per quanto riguarda le uscite in libreria! E io che mi aspettavo di poter leggere qualsiasi libro trash dopo After e invece i “romanzi” delle nostre connazionali tratti da Wattpad mi spaventano in una maniera oscena!

Ecco perché aspetto di finire la tesi per leggerli, altrimenti il mio cervello mi aprirà il cranio a suon di sprangate e scapperà fuori dalla finestra.
Ad ogni modo, in cerca di un libro trash poco impegnativo e parecchio sotto le aspettative, ho voluto ripescare un romanzo che ai suoi tempi aveva destato la mia malata curiosità. Sì, Estasi Infinita della Banks aveva fatto piuttosto parlare di sé, in senso negativo. Non ho dimestichezza con questa autrice, dato che a prescindere il genere in sé non m’interessa, ma i commenti inerenti alla trama mi avevano fatto sbellicare, quindi… Eccomi qui. A commentare questa cosa.
Devo ammetterlo, la Banks non scrive nemmeno così male. Ha solo il difetto che ogni tanto si perde o si dilunga, ma dato che è un errore comune direi di non farci troppo caso.
Cioè che realmente ha suscitato la mia reazione è stato…

In primo luogo, fino a metà libro il sesso in sé non è nemmeno contemplato. In secondo, viene descritta solo un’ammucchiata, del resto ne veniamo a conoscenza solo tramite poche righe.

Io volevo leggere qualcosa di sconcio!

O sono tutti dei moralisti o non hanno mai letto un libro della Hamilton, questo è poco ma sicuro.
Comunque, la trama in sé è abbastanza semplice.
Talia viene condotta su un’isola per essere l’oggetto sessuale del principe esiliato Xander e della sua combriccola. Anche se loro non la mettono in questi termini è così, mi dispiace dirvelo.
Quindi questa povera vergine viene addestrata da questi quattro fighi usciti dai sogni più perversi delle donne nell’arte amatoria. Nel contempo viene coccolata, viziata e trattata come una piccola principessa.
E fin qui tutto bene.
Ovviamente la logica dei personaggi è abbastanza inesistente e contraddittoria e l’unica cosa che sembrano saper fare bene è scopare. Mi ha fatto ridere specialmente il loro discorso dove criticano il sadomaso. Molto coerente.
Ad ogni modo, dopo tre mesi di sesso selvaggio, le cose peggiorano a causa della situazione del regno del principe. Xander viene richiamato in patria dall’esilio per trovare un accordo con i ribelli e, per non coinvolgere Talia nonostante sia innamorato di lei da sempre, decide di rispedirla a casa come un pacco postale.
Ovviamente lei non la prenderà bene e i quattro manzi rimangono sorpresi dalla sua reazione.
Ma davvero?
Nonostante tutti e quattro vi amate e bla bla, davvero pensavate che fosse così facile ottenere il suo perdono?
Comunque, alla fine Talia accetta di rincontrare Xander e lui le chiede di sposarlo. Ovviamente continueranno a fare ammucchiate.
E fu così che vissero felici e contenti, specialmente Talia perché poteva avere quattro grossi cazzi tutti suoi.
Morale della favola?
È un libro che si fa leggere senza troppe pretese.
Sì, c’è tanto sesso, ma da come veniva descritto me ne aspettavo moooolto di più.
Ad ogni modo potete benissimo non leggerlo. Non vi perdete nulla. Se invece siete perversi e vi piacere pensare di avere tutti gli orifizi occupati, fateci un pensierino.

Non si può mettere 1/4 di stella? Giusto per l'impegno?
Non me ne voglia l'autrice *dubita che gliene freghi qualcosa di quello che penso io* ma, anche tenendo conto che sicuramente questo libro è uno dei migliori del genere, è una cagata pazzesca!
Un pornazzo mascherato da Harmony. Peggio di un Harmony.
Talia, la protagonista, è probabilmente bipolare perchè un momento è sottomessa, timida, introversa e razionale e il momento dopo è audace, spigliata, aggressiva e intransigente. La cosa mi ha lasciata molto perplessa.
Xander, il principe, è il più verosimile tra i personaggi: è ricco, viziato, ha delle fantasie perverse e i mezzi per metterle in pratica. Ovviamente è un bellissimo uomo superdotato che trova solo ed esclusivamente donne compiacenti che non fanno trapelare nemmeno un minimo indizio scabroso su di lui. Che culo! Con i tempi che corrono girerebbero video su video sul web!
Garon, Nico e Sebastien, le tre body guard del principe, nonchè amici e amanti di Talia, sono... che ne so? Sono la perfetta trasposizione del bello, il brutto e il cattivo. Anche se sono tutti e tre belli, chi in un modo e chi in un altro; se il brutto è solo massiccio e imponente, ma un tenerone in realtà (e con un serio problema di paresi facciale); se il cattivo è solo il classico uomo che è stato ferito e che si nasconde dietro un velo di strafottenza.
In pratica questo libro (????) è pieno di stereotipi, condito di sesso e con una trama praticamente inesistente.
L'autrice aveva da sfruttare la crisi politica dello stato di Xander, la malattia della madre di Talia, la dualità di Sebastien, l'apparente bontà di Nico, la fedeltà di Garon, ma si è limitata alla cronaca dettagliatissima di atti sessuali.
Per questo, per me, non merita nemmeno una stella intera.

Allora, eccomi, con la mia recensione.
Libro BELLISSIMO. Non bastano 5 stelle per dire quanto mi sia piaciuto.L'ho letto in una sera
Scrittura eccezzionale, una storia semplice che ti attira pagina dopo pagina. La storia di per se è molto semplice: Lei bella ingenua e soprattutto vergine, lui bello, sexy e naturalemente, principe. Sarebbe tutto perfetto (ma forse troppo banale ) se non fosse che a fare da contorno a questa storia d'amore e lussuria ci sono 3 bei baldi giovani. Amici e guardie del corpo del principe, che lo aiutano lo consigliano in tutto e condividono anche la stessa donna. Sì, avete capito bene! Tutti e quattro si spupazzano la nostra bella protagonista. E inutile dire che con lei fanno di tutto anche una bella orgia a 5 ;)
Comunque, ho amato tanttismo il libro, la storia è un pò surreale nel senso che nel mondo reale dove lo trovi un uomo che ti condivide con altri uomini per di più degli amici, e poi ti dichiara amore eterno ? Ma naturalemente, solo nei libri ! Personalmente non amo molto questo tipo relazioni sessuali che trovo nei libri. Ma i libri sono libri. L'unica piccola pecca che ho riscontrato è la banalità del finale, cioè mi sa un pò da Harmony. Ma io, dopotutto adoro gli Harmony. Mi spiego meglio, il libro ti attira sempre di più, entri nel vivo della storia e poi quando arriva il finale tutto si sbriga in poche pagine ... NO! Non ci sto, avrei voluto che il libro non finisse mai. Voglio ancora un pò di Estasi Infinita. MAYA BANKS sbrigsti a scrivere un altro libro così ! Capito ?!

One thing for sure, this story could be a whole lot better if the main characters are just a Hero and a heroine. Like seriously, the additional Heroes is not necessary and to be honest didn't do much except fulfilling the main Hero's fantasy. Definitely not the best Maya Banks menage themed books I've read and I've read plenty before. The chemistry in this one is not... Strong enough. Yeah, look forward to read Maya's books soon!

Truly this book could have been just one of the many dirty romances that were like quick bites of candy and don't need a review but I need to say: you can not medically confirm virginity. A transparent flap of skin is not a thing. This author has CHILDREN, I hope she's left the sex ed to another person!

This one was hot but it missed something for me. I didn't feel like the connection between the men was nuanced and developed enough to make the relationship real. It felt like a fantasy but not really a fantasy-come-to-life.

This book was nothing but smut in a situation that would never happen but man oh man was it still good to read about.
The book starts with talia explaining how this man swooped in and saved her and her mother by paying for her treatments and also paying for her school. But she knew the arrangement would consist that Xander could come and any point and she is his for 6 months. That is what he made her agree upon. Well he calls upon her and since her mother is in remission she goes and meets him. She basically tells herself to just be the mistress and don’t get feelings involved because she will just get hurt. Well of course that’s impossible and she quickly learns that the guys are just as obsessed with her and they age into bdsm kink but then affectionate and loving kind. Anyways she falls for them but then his crown calls and wants him back on the thrown so he sends her home with no explanation because he worries it would put her in danger. So she is crushed and she disappears on vacation for 2 months with her Mother so when they come looking for her after only the first couple weeks to find she is gone they go crazy looking for her. They end up finding her quickly and they bring her back home and explain everything and they live HEA.

tralasciando una struttura che cade a pezzi e l’assenza di una trama sensata, per tutto il libro si parla delle loro orgie e negli ultimi tre capitoli si entra nel vivo della storia, finendola troppo velocemente e in maniera superficiale. Questo libro non ha una morale sensata né tantomeno un senso logico
non è tanto la presunta relazione poly fra i cinque, quanto l’assurdità della situazione in sè e l’arroganza davvero odiosa di xander, crede che tutto gli sia concesso perché è probabilmente un narcisista di merda e lei facilmente abbindonabile. Fossi statx in Talia, l’avrei mandato a fanculo da molto più tempo anziché acconsentire a sposarlo.

It is a rare occurrence that I find myself so completely ensnared in a book. I mean I get into almost every book I read but there’s always something that gives me pause. I have to take a break and look at the reviews online to see if other people also were annoyed by that thing.
With this book? That was not the case.
I was completely enraptured by this book from start to finish. I almost did not go into work because I didn’t want to put it down! Literally a great read. Definitely looking forward to more books by this author in the future.
No sequel needed. (But maybe an epilogue novella?)

This book was a bit of a surprise not only did the heroine, Talia gets to sleep with the prince, Alexander or Xander as he's known, but also with his 3 best friends. Garon, Sebastian and Nico all are best friends with the prince and have his back in all things.
Talia goes to the Caribbean to meet with Xander after he paid all her expenses for college and her mother's cancer treatments. She expects to have to sleep with him but not his best friends. He explains that they come as a set.
They settle in quite nicely until problems at home call Xander away.

This entire book was a contradiction. I expect WAY more from an author like Maya Banks.
She’s scared, she’s not. She’s confused, she’s not. She’s this she’s not. This book was just awful with it. It made zero sense.
Maya Banks can and does write much better books. I gave 2 stars only because it’s Maya Banks. This really is a zero star book. Totally worthless.

I haven't read anything else by this author but I wasn't the biggest fan of this. Weird dynamic with main female character and all the other characters.
My biggest issue with it was the portrayal of virginity. Why was the hymen a "flap" of skin that needed to be broken? I've never heard a hymen described like this and it was among my least favorite for sure.

la protagonista viene ospitata da un principe di un paese esotico, in esilio su un'isola. in pratica si fa il principe e le sue guardie del corpo, in contemporanea. C'è di bello che qui le cose sono molto trasgressive ma non si scende nelle fruste o nelle cinghiate.

Ho letto questo romanzo per curiosità, spinta dai commenti letti in giro e mi aspettavo più o meno quello che ho letto.
Non è il mio genere. Trama praticamente inesistente. La protagonista femminile piuttosto inconsistente. 4 uomini arrapati e perversi che si differenziano per le dimensioni degli attributi. Il pregio sta proprio nelle descrizioni erotiche molto accattivanti, efficaci, grazie allo stile esperto di un'autrice di spessore.
