Samantha is more bookworm than vixen, something she’s been trying to explain to her best friend Natalie for some time. Natalie, however, doesn’t agree and believes that Samantha is the best choice to take her spot as an escort for a dinner. Sam reluctantly agrees, and the ten thousand dollars for the job doesn’t hurt.
What she doesn’t count on is meeting Joel, lusting for him, and sleeping with him, all without telling him who she really is. When he pays for a month of her time, she can’t say no, but can she fight falling in love?
Writing professionally since 2008, LeTeisha Newton’s love of romance novels began long before it should have. After spending years sneaking reads from her grandmother’s stash, she finally decided to pen her own tales. As many will do during their youth, she bounced from fantasy, urban literature, mainstream, interracial, paranormal, heterosexual, and LGBT works until she finally rested in contemporary romance.
LeTeisha is all about deep angst and angry heroes who take a bit more loving to smooth their rough edges. Love comes in many sizes, shapes, and colors, as well as with—or without—absolute beauty and fairy tale sweetness. She writes the darker tales because life is hard … but love is harder.
Samantha and Joel are combustible lust. Samantha is doing her friend Natalie a favor when she agrees to go on a date with the person whom she believes is Natalie's date from the escort service she works for because she wants to come clean to her boyfriend Maddox about her profession. Joel has found out what Natalie does and persuades Maddox to let him show up at the arranged date to prove Natalie is nothing more than a gold digger. Neither expects the instant attraction.
This was a very good read. The chemistry between Samantha and Joel are off the chain. Joel brings out the bad girl in Samantha and in return she breaks down his hard exterior. The plot is believable and the story flows well. We recommend you adding this read to your library. You won't be disappointed.
My Review of A Date to Remember by LeTeisha Newton
Samantha and Joel’s story.
Samantha is doing a favour for her best friend by taking her place as an escort on date. Joel is doing his best friend a favour by checking-out the woman his friend wants to marry and Joel thinks she is a gold digger.
What follows is a great story of how two people found love under false pretences. I really loved this short story. This is a new author that I am really enjoying!
This is a story about a best friend going blind date for her friend. Sam is a very shy person and Joel has a past. He doesn't trust a person who would lies.
