كتاب أشبه بمقال صحفي سيء التحرير، لا ترتيب للأفكار، ولا ترجمة جيدة للكتاب، ولا حواشي تثري النص.
ربما كانت طبعاته الرخيصة، وحجمه الصغير سببا في شهرة الكتاب.
لا يستحق أي نجمة.

Sebenarnya sudah tau sih sejarah peradaban kuno dunia itu pasti adanya tentang Mesir, Yunani, Romawi, dan sekitarnya. Jadi ini untuk lebih mengetahui lebih dalam lagi, karena tahapan sejarahnya lumayan banyak dan lengkap, tidak hanya tentang suku dan agama, juga tentang tata kota dan pemerintahan.

Good introduction to ancient history. I found the greek section to be too short, but the roman section is very good. I found the frequent mentions of geography very interesting and I enjoyed ethnographic sections.

لا اعلم صحة القصص الذي نقلها الكاتب مثل قصة ترازيبول والثلاثين ظالم على ما اعتقد .. عنصرية الكاتب وتعصبه لبني جنسه من ابرز عيوب هذا الكتاب مما أفقده الموضوعية في بعض الطرح
