One of the most honest and transparent books I’ve ever read from a preacher/pastor’s perspective on the complexities of coming of age in the life of vocational ministry. This is an honest look at the Christian, pastor, preacher who has the responsibility of preaching/teaching and shepherding God’s people and is charged with the responsibility of living a life that exemplifies a Christ-like lifestyle. The author uses candid and vivid language to express the human condition much like that of David in the Psalms. The writer demands the reader to examine her/himself in making controversial decisions that do not agree with the status quo. Her title suggests the book is not only about herself but is inclusive of others who have experienced similar circumstances. It is a page-turner, edgy and if read with the intent for which it was written can be helpful to a myriad of persons. Excellent!
