Can Jack save his biker bear, or will Lenny's rage consume him?
Volatile. That's the perfect word to describe Lenny's grizzly. His MC brothers consider Lenny no better than a rabid animal. Some of them even believe that putting Lenny down is the best option for the club. Lenny himself is willing to face his own execution. But all bets are off when he's sent on a mission to rescue an empath from a bloodthirsty group of hunters. While most people are terrified of Lenny, Jack is different. He believes that Lenny can be saved, but the road to redemption will be long and hard.
Betrayed. Jackson Lake never expected the people he helped with his psychic abilities to turn against him. On the run and with nowhere to go, fate leads him to a terrifying and broken biker bear who claims that Jack is his fated mate. But some wounds run deep, and Lenny is consumed by rage that threatens to swallow Jack whole. Can Jack save his beloved biker, or will he end up losing him?
Lenny is a thrilling m/m shifter romance and the eighth captivating installment in the Moon Burrow Bears series. Prepare to be captivated by the electrifying chemistry between a shattered biker bear and his extraordinary empath.
I've been rooting for Lenny for awhile and I was happy he got a second chance...not necessarily redemption but he was given a chance to calm his bear so he could have a future. Fate brought him Jack. There were challenges that were thrown at them but Lenny was determined and things worked out so well. Wonderful HEA...so happy for Lenny...NICE!.

Can't believe you would do such a disservice to Lenny. And to top it all off, Piston gets away with it?? He screws up Lenny's life and gets his own book??
Lenny can no longer trust ANYONE in the MC for the rest of his life. He got kicked out of the MC because of Piston's jealousy, then because Piston says, "Oh my bad, never mind, he can stay," he's allowed back. There is no trust; there can't be because you used Piston to bridge that gap. He shouldn't even be mentioned for the next 1/2 book. Yes, he should have a redemption, but not less than a week later. He sowed discontent in an already hostile environment, purposely tried to harm a "brother" and their mate, and unintentionally brought an enemy dangerously close to infiltrating the MC. And Piston admitted to it!! How is Lenny supposed to trust his fellow MC members?? They were so easily swayed by ONE patch members' feud, twice.
Lenny should not have gone back to the MC. He should have been deemed an ally, Jack could continue to work with the coven and being allowed to live in town.
I'm really disappointed that you are killing the Grizzly Motorcyle Club. Yes, the other members will get HEA's, but you are destroying the MC. There is no other way to go; you would have to have to have a huge confrontation, and one of the main characters, one who had their own book in the series, would have to die. And that is not your style of writing.
- a MM shifter romance! bear x empath, omegaverse, fated mates, motorcycle club, found family, hurt/comfort! - the timeline isn’t matching up but we can chose to ignore - these books always have the most explosive starts but i think this one takes the cake lol - i love Jack’s lil found family tho!! - okay first kiss up a tree!! - so glad everyone got back to the MC safely!! heart was pounding for all of them - how many battles can one bear be in, in one book - was very frustrating that Lenny wouldn’t let Jack actually properly help him - PISTON FUCK OFF YEA - as soon as Jack befriended a pregnant woman i knew what was gonna happen - one thing i don’t like about these books is that it really does forget the couples in the previous ones? like obvi Venom is here a lot but when was the last time we had actual interaction with Casper? or Adam? or Julian? i miss them so much - honestly i was just stressed for most of this book because I didn’t know if he’d sort himself out - oh… that scene after the date… not good… - so happy Venom got the scary dragon to help!! - i love how much Jack settles in to Moon Burrow as well - he passed his last test, i was so happy for him and also really glad it wasn’t put spiky on Jack to fix him - oh Piston, you’ve got me FUCKED UP - my heart honestly broke during the meeting - i’m sad that not all the books are MPreg - very good third act conflict! Gordon YA BORING - glad Piston fixed everything but feel like he should of seen some type of consequence? - the ending was sweet!! i feel like there’s a slow decline in these books a wee bit but i do still love them
Part of the Moon Burrow Bears series each can be read as a standalone with a shifter and the one who captures his undivided attention. Lenny is hurting from the loss of his brother he was murdered wanting revenge so bad allowing the rage, his bear to control everything to control him retreating the human so much so that his MC brothers are afraid of him starting to believe his bear is going feral and although his brothers are hurting they aren’t ready to execute him just yet and Malachi asks him to do a favor to retrieve a young man named Jack whose in trouble he agrees. Jackson is a psychic has helped so many while he was helping they believed but just as quickly they turned on him forcing him to run for his life, to hide but having no where to go until he is rescued by a very terrifying, broken biker bear shifter who has been living with pain for such a while he isn’t sure if he can help him but they are mates so giving up isn’t an option but will Lenny be receptive to Jackson knowing they are mates. Lenny never expected to find his fated mate especially when he is in so much pain yet when he is around Jackson his pain dulls just a bit but is it enough, will he allow Jackson to help him, can Jackson help him, will he accept happiness considering how long he has lived with the pain, will he get Jackson to safety, and can they find peace together leading to happiness?
I’ll start off by saying that I’ve loved all the books in this series before this one and the ones that follow the Ravens, but this one in particular is severely lacking in quality.
Spoiler Warning!
The amount of times that Jack is incorrectly referred to as a psychic makes me think that parts of this book were copy and pasted from the previous. The show down between Piston and Lenny in Jack’s apartment and the subsequent events make zero logical sense. Pointing out the fact that Piston and Lenny don’t let along would show that there’s zero reason for Piston to be anywhere near Jack’s apartment, thus Piston was actively looking for trouble.
The ending was also not satisfying. Piston should have been exiled for actively misleading the MC or Lenny and Jack should have walked away and started a new life. How can Lenny still see that place as home after everything that Piston and his group did and they received no punishment after the truth came out.
I’m really hoping that the next book is better, because as I said I was loving this series up until this book.
Bjo.
Sometimes holding it together, takes more than effort! Lenny, is on the ledge of going feral. He just can't seem to hold onto his bear. Venom gives him a mission to extract Jack as a favor from Malachi. There is a mystery about the source of Lenny's pain. Can Jack get to the source before his mate is lost forever? Lots of intrigue and danger in this story. There are known and unknown enemies. Good flow, and lots of excitement. The romance is a bit light, but you can feel the love. Nicely done. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
'I had a feeling this grizzly alpha only reserved his smiles for special moments. Lenny struck me as a grim figure, but now he looked at me like I was something special. Like I was a sudden burst of sunlight on a rainy day. No one had ever looked at me that way before.'
I really enjoyed this book. Jack and Lenny were such a perfect match. I liked that Jack was a psychic- specifically an empath. I liked how Lenny reacted to his presence. Great chemistry between them. 4 stars.
Piston sucked and so did the rest of the MC except for Venom. When there are so many errors in writing that even I notice you should probably look into getting a better editor. Piston and Ace should’ve been kicked out for what they did. Lenny lost control of his bear and attacked Piston, everyone agrees that was not good, but Piston and Ace SHOT Lenny will silver bullets. This entire story was a mess. Actually have a plot for the books or stop writing them.
While I was eager to read this story I was also slightly dreading it because I was so scared for Lenny. He tried so hard to overcome his anger for himself, Jack & their future & I was just worried for him. I kept reading because I knew bad stuff was coming but was so delighted with the ending. Jack never gave up on him & Crash & Greed remained true friends & stood by him throughout everything. I was so happy with how Lenny & Jack's story ended.
We finally get Lenny's story. It was good to read about Lenny finding the missing piece in his life. Jack was just what he needed but their happily ever after took some interesting turns before they finally got to enjoy it.
Lenny is a bear shifter who belongs to the Grizzly Reaper MC and his bear was going feral. He was sent on a mission to save Jack an empath. When he gets there he realizes that Jack is his mate and he calms his bear. I really have enjoyed this series. The characters and the stories are interesting and its hard to put the books down.
I enjoy the author's writing style. I can't wait for more books in this series. I was glad to see the MCs connect and get their HEA. I'm looking forward to this world continuing to expand. I do wish I saw more of the omega mates as reoccurring characters as well.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I'm glad Lenny finally found his balance and love with Jack. They have to deal with a vengeful hunter but it leads to them being able to stay in their chosen home with their new son.
another beautiful mate journey for moon burrow bears series. he struggling so hard with the loss of his brother but when he sets a task. maybe his mate can knock this bear back. we see that love can help you balance things
I love this series I had tears for this story!!! You will definitely vet pulled into the story you get adventure betrayal but love trumps everything!!!! Thank you foe a great book Lori
Love this book love the characters very rich, love, the storyline, the intrigue, the danger, the apprehension, I love the way they told the story, and of course, the happily ever after is always a good thing
This was a good interesting read. The story was exciting and I loved the interaction between Jack and Lenny. This is enjoyable with the perfect HEA. Great Read.
I'm glad Lenny finally got his own story, as fighting for so long against turning feral had to come to a crisis point sometime. I liked him as a character and I liked Jack as a character but we didn't really get to find out enough about either man and so much of everything in this story was glossed over. 'Mokee' set out everything that irked me in their review on Amazon.com and I couldn't say it any better. As always, there were the usual grammatical errors, wrong names, typos along the way which drove me nuts, but I'm still reading.
