Rate this book
AN SAS intelligence officer is trained and sent on a deadly secret undercover mission. His task? To seduce the rich, spoiled daughter of an Al Qaeda leader.
The terrorist mastermind is out there somewhere, in hiding, the banking genius behind a global terror movement, a hunted fugitive with a price on his head.

His daughter is in Cairo, part of the international jet set, living the high life. But she’s in contact with her elusive father. She loves her daddy. And her Daddy loves her . . .
Perhaps the right man can seduce her and get her to lead British intelligence to one of the World’s most wanted men? But who?

A very special man is needed.

Only a desirable catch, tall, dark and handsome, and a man who can pass himself off as an Arab to his finger tips, can pass the test of love.

Failure as he walks the tight rope of his dangerous mission means torture and death at the hands of ruthless terrorists.

But first, Captain Farrah has to learn the Arab arts of love… and much, much more as the pawn of British intelligence.

“In the Name of the Queen” eBook was published in 2016 and was written by John MacRae. Mr. MacRae has published seven novels.

I received a galley of this novel for review through https://www.netgalley.com. I categorize this novel as ‘R’ because it contains scenes of Violence, Mature Language and Mature situations. The story is set mostly in London and Cairo. The primary character is British SAS Captain Mike Farrah.

Farrah, because of his Arabic heritage, is recruited for an elaborate intelligence operation. He is to become a rich young man from Lebanon, mix with other wealthy Arabs, and get close to the beautiful young Alia bind Said. Said is the only daughter of Said al-Salah, prominent in al-Qaeda and their principal finance man.

Farrah is trained, tested in London, then sent to Cairo. He is successful with the impersonation but there are unforeseen complications - Mossad has found out about his undercover assignment and he is falling for the beautiful Said woman. Farrah must handle more than one life threatening situation, as well as deal with the limited, and possibly inaccurate, information he is being supplied with.

I enjoyed the 15 hours I spent reading this 486 page modern Spy Thriller. While this is a ‘James Bond’ like story, Farrah is not written as a ‘James Bond’ clone. The recruitment and training was interesting. As was Farrah’s forays into high society. The story had its plot twists. I am hoping that there will be further 'Farrah' novels in the future. I give this novel a 4.5 (rounded up to a 5) out of 5.

I received a free copy via Netgalley in exchange for a honest review.

This is a fairly standard Action / Thriller which did nothing to really excite me.
If you like James Bond you may enjoy this.
