Fun short story. An astronaut wishes upon a star, which turns out to be spacecraft holding her happily ever after man-an alien who is her perfect match. Yes, a bit of insta love, but that is to be expected in a short story. Perfect for someone who grew up in Roswell-yes, the alien loving town (which is actually a fun place to visit).
I do wish the ending would have been fleshed out a little more when it was issued as a standalone, even with just an epilogue.

I enjoyed this novella, which is a cross between Star Man and Visit to a A Small Planet. The astronaut we meet happens to have come from a loving home near Roswell, and as we can imagine her mom is obsessed with space junk and alien tales. Her dad meanwhile is a doctor who helps local immigrant workers for free by evening. With a crewed Mars mission coming up shortly, our astronaut gets a brief home visit.

This happens to be the night that some space debris streaks through the sky and vanishes over the horizon. Next thing our heroine's mom drags home an unconscious man. Is he or isn't he?

Have fun. I like the attention to detail, humour and well considered outcome. This is an adult romance suitable for mature teen readers.

A classic SG, except really short. Fairly simple, sweet, and with some amusing elements. Standalone, as best I can tell.

This is a short story available only in ebook form by my favourite author ever, Susan Grant. It’s a science fiction/romance (Grant’s main genre; my favourite genre!) about an astronaut who gets pulled into a hilarious plot with her UFO obsessed mother to hide a real life alien who just happens to crash to Earth around the same time that Andie, the astronaut, makes a wish for some love in her life. Of course, there is instant chemistry between Andie and the alien, Zefer, and Andie must battle her own head for what to do – risk her career and an upcoming trip to Mars, or take up with sexy Zefer. It’s clichéd and fairly predictable (actually, I can’t even say that one, the ending is quite clever really!) but its lots of fun, and I find this type of romance stories so much more enjoyable than a Mills and Boons ‘Girl-falls-in-love-with-Italian/Greek/Spanish/French-billionaire’. A quick, fun little read!

A nice take on an alien landing on Earth. Grant mixes a military pilot choose for the first trip to Mars with a Mother who is a UFO believer and lives in Roswell, New Mexico. This is a fun read that mixes what two people want with how to make it come true. Nothing was easy in the story and like many others I would love to see a sequel featuring the two main characters.

Good for a short

For a short story it was nice, the ending was a little dissatisfying but still okay. Did like the male and female characters. They fit together, but don't think would read again. It is just good for a in between favorite author release.

Fun a sweet short story that I would like to see expanded.
At times Andie came across as a bit brusque but I can understand her childhood would have been tough, with a lot of teasing and meanness.
Zefer was great and it was nice that he wasn’t this hulking warrior but actually had problems that he had to deal with.
I just found the ending a bit of a let down but also exactly how it needed to be due to the short length.
It would have been nice to know how Andie was going to explain to earth and NASA that she was going off with Zefer.

Great little story about an astronaut who doesn’t believe in little green men, until an alien crashes his ship and her UFO crazy mother brings him home. Of course he isn’t green or little, but he is a sexy hunk of a man named Zefer and Andie can’t help but fall for him. Of course there’s an obsessed UFO hunter they have to hide Zefer from as they help him repair his ship, but all will work out in the end, just as it should.

100% enjoyable story line!

I would have given this story 5 stars but there were some errors in the editing. I truly loved the idea of a love story without the traditional setting. Anyone who enjoys reading a feel good story with a happy ending will enjoy this one!! Thank you Susan Grant for your imagination.

Andi and Zefer

She’s set to be an astronaut in the Mars project when her mother brings home a real extraterrestrial.

Story was good but short. Lot of details I would have liked to see explored/explained.

I really really like Susan Grant

It doesn't matter which book I cannot give her fewer than four stars because she is a damn good storyteller. Her characters are always both larger-than-life and believable. In this book the story may seem contrived to some people but it's just so much fun to read.

Cute and endearing short story. Loved the conspiracy and the eventual outcome, so different from any other story I've read. Would have loved an epilogue.
