War Trails

Rate this book
George (aka Georgy) is all grown up now and on his way to further his medical training in the East. Before arriving, he detours from Medical College to to treat wounds in the American Civil War, refusing to take sides. This 4th book of Trails can stand alone or be read as the final book of the series. George's refusal to take sides brands him as a yellow belly in the Southern army, and sends him to a POW camp in the Northern army. Along the way he acquires a small orphan boy and falls in love with a nurse from Montana. The war is viewed from the perspectives of both the North and the South and offers no easy answers, but it does offer hope in God. The epilogue following this story reunites the characters from the entire series in Heaven or in Hell, depending on the desicion they made about their relationship with God while still on earth. These characters also meet up with characters from others series, just as we will meet up with others when it is our time to step into eternity.
