Ty Hudson never expected a trip to Texas for his sister's wedding would turn into a seductive lesson of patience. When a sexy cowgirl ties him up then offers a suggestive proposal, Ty's more than willing to accommodate her, but only on his terms.
Evan Masters has always lived her life one step ahead of most people. So she's surprised when she's faced with an intelligent, seductive, tightly controlled man who agrees to show her the ropes in the one area of her life she's yet to tread.
Ty might insist on doing things his way-slow and easy-but the more he prolongs their sensual dance, the more Evan wants to show him just how satisfying letting go and giving in to their desires can be.
As the sexual heat and anticipation between them builds to a boiling point, Ty discovers that his own personal "Eve" is more temptation than he can resist.
Born and raised in the Southeast, award-winning author Patrice Michelle gave up her financial calculator for a keyboard and never looked back. Thanks to an open-minded family who taught her that life isn't as black and white as we're conditioned to believe, she pens her novels with the belief that various shades of gray are a lot more interesting. She's a natural with a point-and-shoot camera, likes to fiddle with graphic design and, to the relief of her family, strums her guitar to an audience of one.
Well, that's the condensed, back-of-the-book bio about moi, anyway. :o)
As for becoming a writer...I wasn't one of those writers scribbling stories as soon as I could write, but I was a voracious reader. At the age of fifteen, I told my mom after I'd finished reading a book, "One day, I want to be the one who writes the kind of books readers think about long after they've closed it."
As Patrice Michelle, I write dark, sexy, action-packed paranormal and contemporary romances.
As P.T. Michelle, I write dark paranormal YA books. My first P.T. Michelle book is coming in July: BRIGHTEST KIND OF DARKNESS.
As it happened with Harm's Hunger, the 1st book in this series, I found myself enjoying this story even though it was fairly predictable and some of the characters' actions didn't make sense. I think I just like Ms. Michelle's writing, period.
Note: The book blurb made me think that Ty and Evan's love scenes would involve bondage, but that was not the case. Their love scenes were hot - hey, this is an EC book - but the kinkiest thing they did was watch the other masturbate.
I gave this a 3 stars or 6/10. I got this as a freebie via Bookbub. It's the first story that I've read by this Author. Whilst this story is part of a series, it reads well as a stand alone as do the others in the series. All the stories contain characters that are contained in all the stories.
I enjoyed the story on the whole and whilst it states that it's for the more mature reader, there are some erotic/sexual passages in the story, but they are in no way gratuitous and fit the story well.
I liked the developing relationship that seemed to happen very quickly between Ty and Evan, due to the fact that Ty was only visiting for a short time. Ty is forced with a proposition from Evan, which he is reluctant to get involved in.
Please grab a copy of this if you are interested in finding out what happens to Ty and Evan.
When we met Ty Hudson in the first book he was all business. When he comes back to Texas for his sister’s wedding we get to see that Ty defiantly has a dominate personality that ohh so panty melting.
When Ty and Evan Masters first meet its with her wearing a towel and taking him down and tying him up thinking he is a burglar. Even though she got the best of him he found himself very fascinated.
Evan Masters was a child prodigy and graduated college at 24 as a Veterinarian. Because of her high IQ men were usually intimidated by her and she still has her V card. What she sees in Ty is a way to get rid of the pesky thing with a man she is attracted to but one she knows that is going to leave in a few days.
The sexual attraction between these two was hot but Ty fought it for while due to the whole V card issue. But it wasn’t long before a bit of his control slipped and he give Evan what she wants. But what neither counted on was falling for the other. Ty got burned by his first love and erected some pretty high emotional barriers that he is afraid to let down.
The story is built around Jena and Harm’s wedding which was great to get to see how they were doing. Each of the stories in this series move pretty fast but I think the author does a great job of showing us enough about each character that you understand them and feel the sexual connection. I read these books many years ago and now rereading them they still are just as good as they were the first time I’m read them.
I loved, loved, loved it! I couldn't stop reading it so of course I read it in a couple of hours. The only thing that bothered me was the fact the book ended at 60%. I mean, it was a whole book but it also includes excerpts of other books by this author.
Ty comes to town for his sister's wedding. Staying in his great-aunt Sally's cottage, he never anticipated for his arrival to be met with some sexy, half-naked woman that ties him up.
Evan Masters is young, gorgeous and has a plan for everything. She's also inexperienced with men, a curse of being the Sheriff's daughter, she supposed.
When Evan attacks and ties up her intruder, she never expected him to be so handsome or to feel some kind of attraction for him. She has a proposal for the man. It would help get a local, WAY too interested in her,off her back.
Ty accepts. But things will be done on his terms, no ifs, ands, or buts.
"Ty's Tempatation" is the 2nd in Michelle's "Bad in Boots" series. You will laugh, you will swoon and sometimes, you might just want to smack a few characters in the back of their heads and yell "smarten the hell up" but you'll definitely enjoy this short and sweet read. I know I did and I'm moving on to the next.
It started off kinda slow but it kept my interest but by 50% with no action, it became just words. The characters were no longer interesting to me and the story was flat.
If this would have been the free book then I wouldn't have purchased anything else in the series or by the author. Hopefully it will get better by book 3 because I purchased the series based on book 1 and I will definitely feel duped.
Much better than the first book. This story had better character development and a stronger storyline. The first book was mostly just one sex scene after another with no storyline. This story had all the steamy scenes with a great storyline.
I love this author, no matter which name she uses. Here's my pet peeve however. When I but a book, I only want to read that book and not parts or all of others. It makes the book I wanted, and in this Cass, I've already read all of her In the Shadows novels, which are amazing by the way. I don't really remember her doing this before, but I could be wrong. I'm finding out that this seems to be a trend with some books I have read lately, and I personally just don't like it. Having said all that, Ms. Michelle has so many great books and I am a little disappointed in this series. It's sweet and full of steamy sex, but there are too many novels out there that are really close to these. The scared of commitment guys who fall pretty quickly for these terrific females. But they are pretty much all the same stories, with a slightly different twist. I would really appreciate the author letting us know in the synopsis that there are other stories or excerpts added , so I might have somewhat of a an if I want to buy the book.
Book review for Ty's Temptation: Book 2 (Bad in Boots)
I absolutely loved this book. I laughed. I cried. But most of all I fell in love, with the two main characters. The female character, Evan, is a spunky, spirited woman who just happens to be the town vet. Wow! The male main character, Ty, is a work driven man who has been let down by live in the past. When these two met, watch out sparks fly!! They seem to be like oil and water at first. Ty is in Texas for his sister's wedding. Evan is taking care of a horse for his sister's fiance. I don't want to spoil the story, so get the book and read. If you enjoy falling iMovie with characters who will be with you for some time, then this is the book to read. So get the book and enjoy reading. Please keep on writing!!
Entertaining, especially at the beginning and I loved the sweet ending. Everything happens over a short period of time but this could have made a great longer, in depth book. Evan, stupid name for a woman, is a vet who graduated young due to being so smart. Ty is the brother we met in book one. Enjoyable actions and thoughts with the wedding of Jena and Harmon being the central reason these two meet. They weren’t fully honest to start for some reason. Chad was a bit of an idiot but Evan could and should have dealt with him earlier. I read this ages ago but if I reviewed it back then it is no longer available.
It's an erotic/small town romance and takes on the worse features of both. The characters are sketches, very much erotica. There is an ex sexually harassing the girl, small town. She's a virgin, both horrible horrible trope in both. He's a "Dom," erotica. The shortened timeline and instalove is again a hated feature in both. There is one good small town scene and one good erotica scene so it gets bumped from a one to a two. But if you are looking for heat the Scarlet Black snippet was better. And if you are looking for a good story look somewhere else.
A sweet story, two independent people thrown together and a struggle of wills that follows. Lots of steamy pre sex and ultimately sex. Ty travels to Texas to attend his sisters wedding and ends up sharing his deceased Aunt's house with Evan, the local Veterinarian who is caring for the groom's horse.
Rather boring, couldn't draw me in. The characters are not really deep, nor do I feel like I know something about them. Could have been a good read, but simply isn't 2 stars because the editing isn't the worst I've seen
Ty’s back for his sisters wedding. Not looking for anything but being there for his sis to give her away, and head back to his home. Only a feisty Evan crosses his path, and gives him a sassy attitude. Just what he needs. Great story, loved it❤️.
This is the first full length novel in the Bad in Boot's series, with the first being a novella. I found this book to be very similar to to the first, just longer. The characters were basically the same with different names. Which is fine, but I hope the next few in the series have some different characters and plots.
The Good:
The sex is steamy and there was a good slow burn before anything happened. I love that Evan, the town vet was this fiesty, kick ass woman. I love a small town western romance. There was a properly smarmy ex boyfriend to act as the villain of the piece. It was a great peice of silly escapism, a very straightforward love story. I enjoyed reading it and will read the rest of the series.
The Bad: I did enjoy it for a bit of pure fantasy escapism although the pure physical perfection of the main characters was a bit much, and I got a bit tired of reading how 'cut' Ty's torso is. In fact I straight up thought Ty was a bit of an asshole. Evan was so fiesty in the first scene but then dumbed herself down which was annoying. That she was still a virgin but every man on the ranch couldn't take his eyes off her didn't quite make sense ( not that that means she has to sleep with anyone, but just that she had opportunity and it's odd she would want to just instantly sleep with this random stranger.) Also her dad's knowledge of her virginity and warning Ty off held 'ick' factor for me.
Patrice has done it again. This story is hotter than the first. Jena waited to get married so her brother, Ty can attend the wedding. Little did he know his life would change once he came back to the Double D. Ty met Evan Masters and that was all she wrote. That women had him hog tied and in love. I felt so connected to the hero and the heroine. They were both truly so great, and belonged to each other. Their passion for each other was undeniable. Their love scenes were hot and my favorite line was from Ty while standing at her bedroom door. He says “Now we are even”. Hopefully, we will get more stories out of Boone, Texas. I’m sure would love to read about Ty & Jena’s cousins Cade, Mace and Colt.
We briefly met Ty in Harm's Hunger, and thought he was a little uptight then but he loosened up a bit in this one. Again, this one has some steamy scenes throughout the book, but I was disappointed in the "taking of the virginity" scene. Don't worry, it's nothing brutal or anything, it just didn't go the way I expected it to. I still give it 4 stars, but it's probably my least favorite in the series as the chemistry between Ty and Evan seemed to be a little off.
*The books in the Bad in Boots series can be read as stand-alones, but I would recommend reading them in order. You have a chance to meet some of the characters in the next book, while also getting to check in with the characters in the previous books.*
The title of this book is extremely misleading. It has you believing that you're going to get a story about Ty and what or who tempts him. Yet what you really get is a story all about Evan, who is not only annoying, but someone who was completely not tempting...unless you can count my wanting to punch her at least 100 different times.
The chemistry was non-existent, her behavior was contradictory, her personality was unlikable and her story was uninteresting.
Just COULDN'T CARE LESS about Evan, and flat out did not like her, which made any semblance of romance virtually impossible to see.
Super cute story I like the ranch setting. Evan is a girl who knows a little self defence and is supper sweet with the animals, she doest want Ty to get the wrong idea so she hides her career from him so that she has a better chance at him seeking an intrest with her hoping she may loose her virginity before he goes back to where he lives only so this stalker of her leaves her alone who she believes is only following her because he wants to take her virginity to add as a score with all his other conquests.
Ty comes home for his sister's wedding and accidentally meets the town vet (though he doesn't know it). Evan's been allowed to stay at the same ranch as Ty, although she doesn't know he's coming.
She's interesting, child prodigy now the vet. Ty's from Maryland and not interested in any long term fling. She is interested but has a few complications in her life.
There's a nice HEA which made his remarkably boring book more tolerable.
SWOON. We all know a Ty, or have had a Ty, or maybe just dream of a Ty. Unfortunately that means we all also know or have had a Chad 🤮ugh Chad disgusts me. It was really wonderful when Ty told Evan that she earned the title of her DVM and should be called as such even if her clients have known her, her whole life. I wish the story was longer though....wanted to see how marriage turned out for them. Guess I’ll just make that up for myself :)

Found this one to be a little better. Kept my interest and I enjoyed it. Ty and Evan are well suited and their chemistry was plausible. The introduction of Chad who makes an appearance to stir the pot is an interesting twist.
