WICKED: showcases some of the best erotic writing from both sides of the Atlantic, bringing together a collection of unashamed, wildly entertaining fantasies all on the theme of holiday romances and sensual encounters.
It includes MAGIC FINGERS by the international bestselling author Sylvia Day, author of the Crossfire trilogy including the Sunday Times bestseller Bared to You.
This book as 16 short but very hot stories. And although these stories are short they are long enough to get your teeth into. All the stories are totally different, There is a Masseuse with Magic Fingers, A woman who gets chained up as a human statue, A woman who finds out she likes to be dominated and humiliated, An Evil Twin who gets the woman he wants by pretending to be his twin brother, A professor and student who overstep that boundary, and a woman who finds the excitement she's craving for with A Rugged Australian Snake Man and his 2 pals. Plus a few others stories all are hot but some better than others. Definitely worth a read though.
Thanking Vesuvius- I guess the premise was there, but the execution not so much. Her sister and her friend were more interesting than her and found myself really not caring once she left them.
Vesele Velikonoce- I have never heard of this tradition, but I might need to check it out. Who wants to go to Czech?!
Magic Fingers- This author always delights. She somehow still snuck in a “happily ever after” even with this short story.
Rocky Mountain Rendezvous- Definitely one of my favorites. Had to go back and reread to see if there was a clue I missed. Feel a little bad for the BF though.
The Andromeda Pose- I feel like this also could have been the opening to a horror story. But it had potential if the story continued and it was a common occurrence.
The Snake Thing- WTF with all the descriptions of scenery and wildlife? Maybe I just don’t understand the appeal.
Sex?- They tried to add random depth to the characters, but it just came off weird in such a short story.
Cowboy World- The whole beginning and why she wanted to go there was so weird since I’m sure you could find something similar much closer to home and save the expense. But other than that, just okay.
The Swimming Pool- Umm…okay. Yeah! This is what I was anticipating from this type of book. I wanted more of these. Although the ending definitely left me unfulfilled and wanting more.
Ice Cold in Verbier- I think this isn’t quite my thing. She was too mean. Especially since Tim was so sweet.
A Taste for Salsa- I am a dancer so I thought I would enjoy this. But maybe I don’t understand dancing with a partner. Scenes too quick with zero payoff. Bummer.
Academic Attraction- For some reason it didn’t hold my attention. I found my mind wandering at the oddest of places. But it is pretty much everything I was wanting from the story.
Marks in the Mirror- This took quite a while to get into it and then sort of ran out of time. This did build character depth for her. I would read a full length book.
Summer’s Seduction- I thought this was going to be another cliche, but I was pleasantly surprised. I liked both of the characters and would read a full length book of this one too.
Night Crossing- I wanted to like this one more. Not sure if it is because I read it in a couple little chunks when I had time as opposed to all at once. The depth the author tried to create was out of place and off putting. But, it was fine overall.
Hot Soda Springs- This one was absolutely terrible! The writing was abysmal with no eloquence. And the scenes made little sense sometimes.
