I am very picky about my devotionals. I like to read something that has some actual depth to it, but not so much depth that I can't understand it. This devotional has been perfect to suit my needs and I have really enjoyed going through it each day.

Each chapter talks about one woman from the Bible who had faith and courage. It's not just about the more "popular" women in the Bible that we usually hear stories about, but also about the ones who we don't know much about too. It gives a look into their lives and how they lived courageously through Christ.

Each chapter includes a Scripture passage (not just a verse) for you to read about that woman and then talks about her story and how we can apply it to our daily lives. I have read some good devotionals, but not every chapter would apply to me. In this devotional, I found there was so much meat and so much I could apply to my life. I am so grateful I found this and have highly recommended it to others.

I really enjoyed revisiting these women's lives, sometimes picking up a new insight but mainly just appreciating again these women's faith.

I'm not really sure why the word untold hit the title. All the women were familiar to me (and to those brought up in Christian families I'm guessing the same would be true for them too) and most of them I didn't learn anything new about them. I was expecting something different as the word untold was in the title. I did enjoy the book, but I do think the word untold should be removed from the title.

Women of Courage feels a short book because every chapter is only a few pages long.

Each starts with a short passage about a woman from the Bible, and then expands to how we can put the lessons into practice in our lives.

I really liked this book, and it helped me understand more about the women mentioned in the Bible, especially when they are not given a starring role in that context. I particularly liked the thought-provoking questions at the end of each chapter, as they made me think for a while after I’d finished reading.

Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised Prob 31:30

This is a good 31 day devotional. A look at 31 woman from the bible some you will expect others you won't. It shows how each of us has different qualities but the most important is a fear ( love and respect) of the Lord. yes would recommend. One thing she did get the wrong scripture reference for above verse she has it in Psalms instead of proverbs I am sure just a goof.

Fab book on women in the bible

I really enjoyed reading this book. Looking at issues from the role of women and their contributions without them probably realising. This book has encouraged me to study proverbs and the wisdom.

From the woman with the issue of blood, to Mary, the mother of our Saviour, to Ruth, and beyond, this devotional takes a look at the stories of 31 Biblical women, and what each of them can teach us about our own lives and walks with God. I liked how the author started each day's reading by telling the woman's story from Scripture, and then went on to expound on that and teach us how that particular woman's story could help us in our desires to walk with God.

While some of the women highlighted were expected and others unexpected, this book was a fairly humdrum devotional. It didn't offer a lot of amazing insights and seemed to more redo the same themes.

Dear Reader,

There are times in life when we feel invisible—overlooked, forgotten, and perhaps wondering if God could really use someone like us. I’ve felt that way too.

Women of Courage was born out of a desire to shine a light on the often-forgotten women of the Bible—women who, in spite of their circumstances, their fears, or their failures, chose to trust God and walk in obedience. Some were leaders, others were hidden away in the background—but all were part of God’s bigger story.

This 31-day devotional invites you to journey with these women. You may already know some of their names, and others may be new to you—but each one has something to teach us about courage, faith, and God’s extraordinary power at work in ordinary lives.

As you read, my prayer is that you won’t just admire these women from a distance, but that you’ll begin to see yourself in their stories. God doesn’t require perfection. He asks for trust. He takes our brokenness and our fear, and He uses it—for His glory and for our good.

Whether you’re walking through a season of waiting, rebuilding after disappointment, or simply wondering what God has for you next, may this devotional encourage you to keep going. To lift your eyes. To remember that you were created for such a time as this.

With love,
Jennifer

I’d recommend this to all my girlfriends. I think wherever you’re at in life, you’ll find something in here that you could relate to and will surely give encouragement and hope. I think this is a much needed read after years of being in isolation, and now that most of us are feeling stuck because we feel like Covid robbed a few years from our lives. There’s always something to be grateful for, and we should always have hope in our heart.
