All Yani wanted was a remodeled kitchen and bathroom for the upcoming Memorial Day holiday. But from the moment she spotted Drew, there was nothing ordinary about him. His tool belt and ponytail put him in a different class from all the other men in her past and that threatened to keep them apart. The uptight and principled Yani was like an unexpected gift. Only she didn’t know it yet. Getting beyond the barriers blocking their path wouldn’t be easy, but he was willing to try if she would only give him a chance. Sticking to my pledge not to soldier through books that simply do not capture me, I quickly put this one aside. The initial interaction b/t the H/h felt...hmmm... inappropriate. It hit a lot of odd notes.
