Marvelous book with not only around 300 words, but also technics and suggestion on how you could improve your vocabulary.
It is divided into 20 chpaters and each of them comes up with a paragraph first and highlight vital words for learners. And this book describe and explain those word's means. In this way, learners could understand and memorize new words with definition and context. It is a better way to learn new words compared with learning words from a dictionary which is usually boring.

Lol! my brain seems to be making connections to words I've long forgotten. Thank you, Mr. Greenberg!

A modest list of 20 vocabulary words per chapter are introduced in a composition followed by some exercises. I would like to think I became a better reader because of this book along with its complement "Painless Reading." For one thing, my vocabulary somewhat improved where I no longer have to look up every word in a dictionary. It took a while to get through, but nothing worth doing is easy.

Borrowed from Dayton Library. This will be a good book for use in school this year for my girls. It explains the origin of words, has practice for learning the words, easy explanations.
