An American Western About Indians/Blackfoot/Pawner/Sioux/Circa 1845
WLC has penned the 2nd western in the Storm Warrior series which includes his marriage, birth of a child, teaching martial arts to young Indians, entering into major fights with the Blackfoot and Pawnee Tribes. As Storm Warrior gains popularity with the Sioux he is promoted to Chief. This is an excellent read for the genre.....ER
Most westerns I have read have been shown through the eyes of the white settler, cowboys or the military, it was soul changing to examine the Indian point of view. This read was filled with Indian lore, adventure, battles and courage. I will read this entire series.
This book follows book one and has lots of action, attacks on wagon train, fights with other Indian tribes, a second wife for Storm Warrior, and a white woman to teach Sioux children. I would like to know how Gray Horse knows English, when others do not.
Love how the author pulls you into the story like you were there living it. I really like how well Storm Warrior is compassionate and always is thinking of how he can help the Sioux survive when the whites arrive. Can't wait to start the next book.
