Mr. H.I.V.

Rate this book
Darren Wade is the perfect man. He is college educated, has a good job, and has a wonderful relationship with his mother. He is also H.I.V. positive. Darren's H.I.V. status leads him on a mission to intentionally infect women. To complete his mission Darren will have unprotected sex with any female who is willing to have unprotected sex with him. This story is entertaining, educational, and a classic example of art imitating life.

Very interesting

So many people are sleeping with each other and passing the HIV virus around and not even knowing they are infected. People should take the time to get tested for HIV to make sure that they are not carriers. Please wear condoms or carry them with you as a precaution because you don't know who you are sleeping with. Darren put a mission in play to infect as many women as possible all because a woman infected him. He had no emotions and did not care about all the wrongs he was doing to married or single woman. Married woman going home infecting their husbands and not having the decency to protect themselves. This book was sick, but I would recommend that everyone read this book.

This covers a very important subject that everyone needs to pay attention to; HIV, AIDS, and unprotected sex. The concept is really good, but the plot was underdeveloped, with some holes and it felt rushed.

Thought provoking

This is a great guide to remind people to why safe sex is a positive things. And remember this is a true story. How many other people are out in this world living the life of a Darren.

This book was intense, it was an awareness of not practicing safe sex. It also, showed the dark side of the mind, when placed in a vulnerable space. It was unfair to the young teenager that was pregnant and to a young man who did what he was suppose to as far as college and good job. Sex is not something to take likely, when it come to protecting yourself. This is what can happen and I do believe that there are people out in the world that has H.I.V. and are doing the same thing, this young man became the sexual boogieman. Was sadden by his mom.

Great story

The book was great didn't like the ending too much but it was still great i gave the book a 4. I would recommend this book to all females young, middle aged and older to inform them on the type of guys out there. I would also recommend to all males to show what can happen if you are not honest with your partner before sexual intercourse and same for women. This story was very informative

Hmmmmm

I gave this book 2 stars for how poorly it was written. A lot of information crammed into a few pages. No real story to follow. He was able to find the wife of EMT who refused to help him years earlier.... far fetched. But as an advocate a lot of old information for someone who might be clueless to the disease. But ok read. I've spent money on worse.

Very interesting and enlightening...The sad this is there are people that do the same things Mr. H.I.V. did everyday. Everyone you come into contact with should not pay for your past transgressions. People really need to take precautions every time they have a sexual encounter to protect themselves and others.

I finished it

I've made a commitment to finish reading the books I start. This book challenged my personal rule. The subject is an important topic, but I personally feel that the content of the story was lost due to minor editorial misses; it took away from my enjoyment of the story. Great content, plot and story line, but it could have written better.

WOW!

What an informative & thought provoking book. I really enjoyed learning about the differences between Hiv & Aids. So many people are still so frightened & clueless about this disease. Thank you I.B.Freeman for this teaching & cautionary tale. The World & DEFINITELY black community needs it.

There is not enough words to explain this book!!! I had to stop reading it a couple of times I was in disbelief that somebody would take it upon themselves to play god... unfortunately this is the harsh truth and it’s happening!!! WRAP IT UP!!!

A must read

This book open my eyes to A lot of things. HIV is really spreading because people are scared to get tested. Its sad that people be knowing and feel its right to infect as many people as they can before they die. I highly recommended this book.

Great read

Great read and felt it got me aware of how protected sex needs to be more used in society it's all about condoms don't give you the real feel but doing it without one can give you the real feel of something you don't want and can't fix

Great concept; poorly written. Grammatical errors were plentiful. The book did its job and helped me get through boring shifts at work but I wish it would have been more cohesive. Random inserts that didn’t fit the storyline. The ending was rushed and underwhelming to say the least.

Could’ve been better

The story lacked details except in the sex scenes. At the time he was maybe a newly writing author and it shows. The story was interesting. This book was published in 2011 and this is still happening in 2019.

Wow

The thought of not knowing your status is a beast. But to know your status and be so nasty to infect others because you mad at the world for you not being responsible is silly. I enjoyed this book. A real eye opener. Thanks for the great read.

It was ok

This story was lacking a lot for a story about such an important topic. I think it’s something people should read because it makes you think about the topic but it definitely could’ve been written better

Everyone should read this book

Good read very informative about HIV to think the world is full of these kinds of people and how you need to be very selective in who you give your body to.

Good but...

The book was good. The content had me gripped. The only issue was the numerous typos and choppy sentences (English nerd). But other than that, I was completely intrigued the whole time.

This book will have you pissed, because of the main character yet its a page turner! The revenge is REAL and so is KARMA at the end. Sadly this is something that happens in real life on the daily & is a great lesson on why knowing your status & your partners status is ALWAYS IMPORTANT---A MUST!

Wow

I’m amazed at the vindictive mindset of some of the characters in this book and I’m wondering if people are out here doing this in real life. I like the conversations between Arlene and her clients. The dialogue between them was very informative. I enjoyed this book.

This book should be read by middle and high schoolers in their sex education classes to help educate them about HIV and the reason to protect themselves because noone else will

Great cautionary tale

This book is a must read! It is eye opening and educational. It also serves as a cautionary tale about the stereotypes and assumptions when it comes to HIV/AIDs, especially in the black community. If this book is a wake up call!

This book is an eye opener

This book is a lesson in reality. There are actually men out there who are doing this to unsuspecting women and don't care. Protect yourself always.
