As a connoisseur of Ashley & JaQuavis books I'm surprised I haven't read this one yet. Though it's a short story so that's probably why.
What led me to finally giving it a go is that I saw the first Cartel book cover changed which made me want to reread that and it kinda looked like a movie cover so I thought wait are we getting a movie???
I don't think we are (yet), but, there is a movie based on Moving Weight called Everything is Both which I'll definitely be checking out after this.
So, this was a wild ride, I wasn't expecting [REDACTED] to die right at the start, that threw me for a loop, but I'm just imagining how interesting that scene would be in the movie and I'm even more excited for it now.
I thought I knew where this was going and how it would end, but these authors proved me wrong yet again. I wish it was longer because these characters are SO GOOD and I easily got attached to them for such a short read. I NEED MORE!!!
Wow, man, I didn't see any of this coming. Like dang, I thought sure she was set. But the ending though had in shock as my eyes were all big because I expected he liked her. That's why I said you can't trust everybody only trust yourself. Dang. Good book, though. I listen to this in one day. Even through my school work. I just needed to know what happened next lol. I wasn't disappointed at all. Ashley & Jaquavis always leave me speechless with their work.
I don't know how I overlooked this book in my kindle. It was short, but no doubt it was a 5 Star read that didnt leave us waiting til the next book to see what happens next. Poor Dasha. She tried to get away. Trusting Cam turned out to not be such a good move. I knew when they walked in that house who would be behind that door. They dynamic duo has done it again. Great job.
Woah! The ending was totally unexpected. This was a good, suspenseful and short ebook. I havent read anything from A&J in months and I need to start bacck doing that.
I loved it! It was so short, it could have easily been made into a full length novel but I enjoyed it heavily. It kept me hooked until the very end and I definitely was not expecting that plot twist whatsoever, even though I know Ashley Antoinette is good for it! She has such a way with words, I just can't get enough of her books! My favorite author without a doubt.
Yooooo… This was short but very good. I truly wasn’t expecting the end!! Very shocked!! I came to read it after seeing that Everything is Both is based off this book! Can’t wait for the movie! Congrats JaQuavis!
I give this book a 1 star because I can't give it a 0 star rating. The story line started off really really good, even the plot twist was good.... but then its literally over. Like its not even worth the 2.99 that paid lol. Just don't waste your money. The girl and her boyfriend plot to rob his boss, he gets killed she runs away with a guy from the station he turns out to be the guy who killed her boy friend and is setting her up. The End. No sequel. Your welcome.
I only picked this book because it is short and I'm trying to finish my goal for this year. I can say that I wasn't expecting to like it since I don't care too much for erotic novel but the ending made me like this book. The story is short and gives you enough to keep you interested without over doing it and ends perfectly IMO.
The story was good,I knew that Cam was in the whole things with scar. It was just crazy for someone to just be sitting there out the blue. Wish it could been longer doh Great read...Can't trust everyone
Moving Weight by Ashley & Jaquavis is a fast pace suspenseful story. The story takes place in 24 hours. Dysha and her boyfriend Trey are wanted for stealing a very large amount of money from big time gangster Scar. Even though Scar didnt live in Flint, Michigan he had eyes and ears everywhere. Dysha was now on her own after Scar's goons got to Trey. She then met up with a guy named Cam. Cam was only there to help Dysha and nothing more.
This story really does show you that you cant trust everyone. The ending is what had me shooked because I didnt expect that. The way the authors told this story with all the lies and deceit as the backstory made you wanted to know more. I listened to this story on audiobook and it was narrarted by Cary Hite which I think he did an amazing job bringing this story to life. I now want to read (listen) to more books narrarted by him.
Over all Moving Weight was a great fast and told to the point story. I really enjoyed it I could definitely see myself re reading this story again in the near future.
Omg Dysha is your typical good girl, chasing balling drug dealers. She got Trae killed, which she stated she loved him but was gonna plot to rob him, goes on the run from SCAR, and then she runs into Cam, mind you, she sexing Trae when he was killed and not hours later with that same unwashed pussy she was fucking Cam...she nasty lol but in true Karma fashion Cam trades on her to SCAR. It was the ultimate betrayal LOOOOOOL. Anyways...it was a good listen...audiobook read by Cari Hite

Even though it was said to be a short story, this book was never short of action. It was exciting from beginning to end and a huge part of me was rooting for Dysha. Although Dysha seemed selfish from the beginning I wanted the girl to make it, even if she didn't care if her man Trey lived or died.
Wow. This story was short and sweet. Dysha got what was coming to her. She stole, got caught and taken care of. I like how it played out. I was believing Cam was a nice guy. Poor Trey didn't have too much common sense listening to Dysha. She wasn't too remorseful either. Very good for a short story.
My first book of the year is my first audiobook ever. I'm a fan of Ashley Antoinette's. This short story isn't as good as their typical. Also, the narrator? Maybe for a woman's POV, I need a female narrator. Or alternating voices. I don't think I could get into as much as I would have if it had been. Otherwise, it was a predictable read. Karma, be careful who you trust and all that. 2.5 stars
This was good short story. Within 24 hours Dysha & her boyfriend Trey lives changed forever. Dysha convinced her boyfriend to steal a large amount of money from his boss Scar. Trey being blinded by love didn’t see his demise coming. Dysha ended up with Cam who immediately wanted to help her. She eventually learned you can’t trust no one.
Now I don’t know how I managed to miss this but I saw the movie Everything is both & didn’t pay attention to who the movie was by… as I’m listening to this book I’m like I heard this story before, I saw a movie like this and low and behold … this is how a book to movie should be done. Both are great
All I can say is wow. This book was deep and I was really hoping Dysha got away. She should have known that she couldn't trust anyone. A real entrancing book with lots of twists and turns.
Cam really played his part in this short story. I thought he had something to do with trying to kill Dyisha at first but then he said she was growing on him as if he was starting to like her . It just goes to show that you can't trust anybody these days.
