This was a great story! Fanny and Jack fought like mortal enemies at the beginning, but then, shortly after, there were fireworks. I loved their inability to not be apart from each other. And Nathan…he cracked me up with his comments!
I found this book to be a quick light read. Nothing heavy. I love the intense drama between Fanny and the preacher. Talk about sparks going off!! The tense relationship between Fanny and Jane was a good touch as well.
I enjoyed reading this book. There are lots of unusual twists and turns that were totally unexpected. I hope you enjoy reading this book as much as I did.
So far I've read the first three of this series....and I thoroughly enjoyed each and every one. The stories in them are about three sisters who travel west and marry. Each one is different and enjoyable for different reasons. This book was different than the others in that the "young girl" planned to marry before arriving. She disliked her "groom" immediately, but had no choice but to marry him. I'll not say anything more so....no spoilers. The author does a great job of making each book different in its own ways and therefore keeping your interest in this series. I'm looking forward to reading the next in it. Love everything about the books - storyline, characters, writing....And, a big thing for me, no editing problems that I can recall. Great job.
Book Four: The fourth, and final sister, along with the parents of these four strong-willed daughters, head to Denver City to join the other three. Promised, by letter, to a man she's never met, this youngest sister is distraught when she meets him at a designated stop along the way to her new home. He is NOT what she is looking for, or what she expected. Unable to honorably back out, she marries him...and here the story REALLY begins. I cannot give anything away so I guess it's up to YOU to read this fourth chapter in this family story...
At the beginning of the book Fanny annoyed me - she was self centered and selfish. She grew on me though and by the end she had redeemed herself! Pastor Bailey was very sweet and once he'd acknowledged his feeling for Fanny he was very cute and quite impatient. I've thoroughly enjoyed the series and look forward to reading Jane's book soon.
I am really enjoying this series. I can pretty much guess that the next one would be about Jane as all of the sisters are now married. Can't wait.... this is me clicking buy...
