Luved this series! I read this in less than a week. It kept me interested from start to finish. It made me laugh, cry & sigh breathlessly. I luv books that hold my attention & I don't have to force myself to keep reading till the book is done. That wasn't a problem with these books. I'm now reading her KGI series and I'm holding onto my socks.

I really enjoyed this series -- sure it was a bit repetitive from one book to the other but I still loved every minute and was sad when it ended! :)

I've read some of the books in Maya Banks KGI series and enjoyed them very much, but this trilogy I couldn't finish. I'd heard so much about these books and read many good reviews, so I thought I'd give them a try. Well, a try was as far as I got. I started reading last year and basically struggled through the first book, refusing to give up, even though I knew I wasn't enjoying it. Plodding through it, I finally finished, so I thought, okay I did it! Of course, I was counting finishing the first story as a sort of victory and went blindly onto the next one. What was I thinking?!!! I'll never know, because I found the hero or heroes, whatever you deem to call them (I didn't stick around to read anymore to find out) as insufferable as the one in the first story.

Having read quite a few of the different kinds of books that the Romance Genre offers, I found the first story short on romance and long on nothing but sex and not the kind of sex I'm used to reading about. Not even in erotic romance. The hero, if you can call him that, had sex on the brain at all times. There never did seem to be a time that he didn't. I mean, c'mon we know men think about it a lot, but asking the heroine to not wear panties to the office so he could have her whenever he wanted during the day? Hell no! The heroine put up with all of this, because she truly loved him. That was evident by the fact that she got engaged to his twisted ass at the end of the story. Really, I can't even remember the name of the book, but it was one long story about the guy's sexual appetite and what he preferred and how she did everything to appease him. I kinda felt sorry for her, because she truly cared for him, but there were times I wanted to slap her a few times to try and drum some sense into her. It was very demeaning how he treated her in my estimation and love or not, I'd never have gone along with any of that b*******!

There was one part in the story where he actually seemed to feel contrite about leaving her with some other man for him to enjoy his sexual favors with her. That was the one glimmer that showed he cared about this woman at all, because he didn't like what the man was doing to her. I keep saying the story, because I honestly can't remember the name of the book! It was just that bad as far as I'm concerned.

The second book, which I thought started out pretty well (can't remember the name of that one either) was fine until I found out that both of these men wanted to sleep with this woman. That they actually shared their women. One of the guys was the heroine's brother from the first story. Needless to say, I could read no further after I found out their intent. I had no idea what the woman's preference was, nor did I care. I'm a one man woman and I found out I can't read those kind of books, even if the story is fictional. So, so much for that.

I marked it as finished, because I didn't know how to get out of having tried to finish it as part of my challenge reading. My first DNF! Do I feel bad about having to do that? Part of me does, but it's not enough of me to care that I did it. I had to do something to relieve myself of the burden of seeing this book just sitting there staring back at me as the months passed by and never being read anymore. If I meet my Reading Challenge goal, I'll just have to read an extra book to keep it honest as that book has been counted toward my total.

I'm glad it's a virtual book rather than a real one to hold in the hand. Maybe I can delete it? If it was a real one, I could give it to someone else to read. I'd have to do that or take it to a resale book shop, because I don't throw books away or tear them up. I love them too much for that! Sorry, the books didn't leave me breathless at all. Only wanting something with substance to read.

A SWOON-WORTHY TRILOGY THAT TANTALIZES THE HEART!

I loved everything about this BREATHLESS trilogy by the mega-talented Maya Banks: The captivating "love at first sight" romances. Hot, scorching sexual encounters. The bonds of brotherhood between best friends/filthy rich business partners Gabe, Jace and Ash. The hilarious Girls’ Night Out. The list goes on and on...

It was impossible to resist these enigmatic Alpha doms who would do anything to keep their lady loves Mia, Bethany and Josie pleasured and pampered and protected. These are men who fell hard and fast, but once they did, nothing would stand in the way of total dominance and all consuming passion. Sure they are total cavemen who are demanding, self-professed control freaks—in the bedroom and out—but also incredibly kind and generous, endearingly sweet and tender. These are men who love with their whole hearts and treat their beautiful subs with exquisite gentleness and care. Like precious jewels to be treasured and cherished.

I swooned the moment I began RUSH, basked in pleasure when I delved into FEVER and finally sighed with sheer satisfaction when I turned to the very last page of BURN. These three closely connected books are just brimming with heat and heart and humor, as well as a touch of intrigue and danger. There is a looming threat that runs through the course of all three books, and all the threads converge in a shockingly brutal climax that stole my breath! In addition to the steamy erotic interludes, what I really appreciated was how Ms. Banks penned a series that not only celebrated the passionate intense love between a man and a woman, but also masterfully depicted the ties that bind between friends, old and new. I dug how the heroes and their ladies formed an unconventional family unit together, proving that love, loyalty and abiding friendship can sometimes bring people together in ways that blood ties may not. And when adversity or trouble darkened their doorstep, these characters all had each other’s backs and would literally walk though fire to support one another. Ultimately, the BREATHLESS trilogy is a scintillating series that steals your heart, tugs at the emotions and makes you smile in delight.

Klappentext:

Mia muss alles tun was er verlangt.

I have thus far only read, Rush, the first installment. While I enjoyed it for what it is, if you are drawn to this series because of its similarities to FSoG, you will likely be let down. The shallowness of the character development will leave you wanting if you're coming off the depth of Christian and Ana. I for one, liked Gabe, but could have done without the spinelessness of Mia. I wanted to get to know these characters better, and wished their romance could have blossomed more slowly, the inevitable hostile outburst could have been more believeable, and the apology and love-soaked reunion slower and more genuine. But shoving all of the drama of Gabe and Mia's romance, his troubled past, their relationship with Mia's brother etc into 400 pages did not leave Maya Banks much time to develop the people. Nonetheless, if you're looking for a quick, alpha male romance, Rush won't disappoint.

The first book floored me. I read this all in 2 1/2 days. I would not put it down and I even took it to the bathroom with me. lol I loved the affect that Mia had on Gabe. I love that no matter what he could not pull apart/separate this like he did normal "business transactions" that he normally made. You were able to see real friendships and acceptance from everyone throughout that whole trilogy as well as the communication and compromise. I know I probably sound boring while talking about this. but it was a lot to really think about.

I loved the sex scenes as well as the pure romance. I loved the book. I loved the story line. I got lost a couple times but I knew it was due to me reading so fast to finish, but it was nothing for me to read over it and catch back up. I really do like this book and I think that Maya Banks done an awesome job. I would read it again and again. I look forward to going back and start reading some of her other books.

The Breathless Trilogy

Gabe, Jase, and Ash are three best friends and business partners. They play hard and live free, don't take no for an answer for what they want. Gabe has always wanted Mia, but she is 14 years younger then him and his best friends little sister. What he does not know is she has secretly wanted him too. Jase and Ash share there women have lots of threesomes. Jase falls hard for Bethany after his threesome with her and Ash. Ash falls for the artist collared submission he see in the park. Can the men hold on to there women before they loose there trust ? Loved this series.

Really enjoyed the first installment and was thinking this was better than 50. As I came into the next book, I was happy to read the characters carried over but it began to get lazy. 2 female submissive artists, several trips to hospitals that were turning points in relationships, random character introductions, return of a menacing villain from book 1, art shows etc. The last book was just plain terrible. Very rushed ending. Loose ends. I had high hopes for Maya Banks after all the reviews for her work but was left with little sizzle and wanting more.

Wow!! This series of books was definitely a 5* read, I read all 3 books in 2 days they were so compelling. They were well written with very strong and likeable characters. I laughed and cried at all the books and I just adored all the male characters, even Kai who came in towards the end of book 3 and Brandon who was a side character in Gabe and Mia's story, not much was known about either man but I just know they'd be exactly the same dominant, possessive alpha males as Gabe, Jace and Ash. My sister recommended these books to me and I'll be thanking her for that for sure!

If I could rate a trilogy half a star, this would be it. I got tired quickly, turning the pages in bunches instead of leaves and still got frustrated with the spineless heros acting all dominant, "Okay?" As if their grey wallpaper heroines could say anything other than "I'm stunned by your riches and alphaness."

Reading through was excruciatingly slow as well. Several unrelated scenes made it all quite cumbersome. As also were the overly detailed descriptions about trivial objects.

However, I must say I liked Jack.

This trilogy is a sexy, hot read!!

Gabe Hamilton, Jace Crestwell, and Ash McIntyre: three of the wealthiest, most powerful men in the country. Everyone wants to get to know them.

Book #1 is Gabe's story of finding love. With the one woman he knows is off-limits.

Book #2 is Jace's story of finding love. She's not from his world, but he'd do anything to be apart of hers.

Book #3 is Ash's story of finding love. Ash needs control in the bedroom, when the one person he wants tells him "no," he never thought he'd fall so hard.

A must read!!

Ok wow this trilogy had me all over the place. Although I've heard some people say they didn't like the repetitive. I don't think it was at all. Yes Gabe,Jace and Ash had similar storyline in essence as in how they like domination of their women, but Ash had the most dramatic life". All is all all of them were your typical brooding, sexy, rich, alpa-males but all had hearts of gold. Sticking by each other like family does.

Very sexy but also very predictable. How is it possible that three friends meet the perfect women for themselves and all have almost exactly the same relationships and enjoy the same type of sex? I almost stopped reading before I finished the third book because I all ready knew how it would end. I guess if you are looking for some mindless erotica, these books are for you.

I was actually ashamed that I finished the trilogy. The first book was dreadful, by the third I wanted to cut off my fingers every page I turned. I know, I know, why the hell did I keep reading right? I always try to give authors whose books I've read and liked, the benefit of the doubt. Well no more!

It's been one of the highly recommended series to read in associating with fifty shades.
As some other reviews had mentioned about this series being "eye popping" and I do agree with that! A lot!
I do like what is actually going about in the story aside from the smoking intimate details, I also loved the humor and the bonds they shared. It's pretty cool!!!

Obsession is a book that stands out in its genre, with a line well written and believable, lovable, endearing characters and has a lot of heat to keep readers engaged.
If you like contemporary erotic romance, I recommend you read Obsession.

I really enjoyed this smutty series. While reading the first book I kept getting a cheap "Fifty Shades of Grey" knockoff vibe but the second and third books were much better. They seemed to have more substance and not just sex. Overall, a good read.
