Would a billionaire’s son ever fall for his maid? Maybe in a fairytale. But in real life? I’m not holding my breath. I’ve always been invisible to Nash Hastings—the beautiful boy I’ve been in love with since one magical night last summer. A night he doesn’t even remember. Until an accidental text puts it back on his radar. But I can’t tell him the girl he met at his family’s garden party is now a housekeeper in his family’s mansion. Because if he knew it was me he was texting, the fairytale would be over. I’m no princess and don’t belong in his world. If only my heart knew its place.

Me encantó.
Ok was this a good book? Yes it was. Was I expecting a little more? Yeah kind of. It was good that writing was really good but 🤷🏻♀️
Kind of SPOILERS ** *I really wish that we had been told what kind of demons Nash fought with ( figuratively) and why he drank so much the past summer I also wish that there had been more of a story about Kiara’s dad and in the epilogue how he redeemed himself to her and how he restored that relationship with his daughter. I personally didn’t enjoy the whole meditation and spiritual side of the book as a Christian especially after everything that went down in “The Confidant”. So I wish there had been a little more to the story. *
Was the book already 437 pages? Yes. Would I have read even more if Judy had offered? ABSOLUTELY
Also I feel like the book was definitely a slow burn and normally I enjoy those but this one just kind of annoyed me. I’m not sure why but 🤷🏻♀️
So safe to say I was kinda disappointed by the book I was hoping for a little more of Nash and Kiara’s story
This was an ARC read and I’m so thankful to the author, Judy Corry, for including me. I don’t know that I would have normally picked this up. I normally read thrillers, with a splash of romcom. However, someone has turned me on to the world of Romance. And I’m here for it!! SO, romance readers everywhere, please pick this up. It’s a closed door romance but oh my, does it tug at the heartstrings. I enjoy this author’s writing style. The character development was impressive. They were also extremely relatable. This was not as predictable as I might have thought. The storyline kept me up until I could hold my eyes open no longer. I quickly finished the next day. This is one book in a series. I don’t think it’s necessary to have read the other books to enjoy this. (Can be read as a stand-alone.)But now that I’ve read bits about the other couples, I do indeed want to read about them and they each happen to have their own book! I’ll be delving into this authors books again for sure!
*Let it be known that I gave 5 stars to Wish You Were Mine by this author*
The MMC is such a dork.
He tells the FMC how much he likes her friend and asks for her advice on him dating her. He confesses to the FMC that he is too scared to kiss a girl. He tells the FMC that he needs a kissing coach. He wants to reenact Titanic at the front of the ferry. (Spoiler: they did it. I cringed so hard) He says he watches Titanic all the time. He [ineptly] flirts with the FMC which leads to a kiss, and then stumbles all over himself saying it was a mistake and he actually likes someone else. He ruminates on whether he likes her or his mystery texting friend better. Then he wonders if he messed things up with her?
YES, YOU IDIOT, YOU DID. YOU ARE SO LAME!
I cannot reconcile this 18-year old dufus with the supposed smoking hot son of a billionaire.
*thinking about it* Nope. Not possible.
The excessively bad male narration does not improve his character. He sounds like such a weenie. (He IS such a weenie!)
There needed to be major groveling after the stunt he pulled. But then the author lets him “save” the FMC from a handsy boy at the club who was dancing next to her when it would have been simple for the FMC to save herself by stepping away from the dude. *face palm*
No, do not let this guy help you. He sucks and you don’t need him.
But alas, she is still pursuing him. Ugh, get a backbone, lady! Don’t be so pathetic. Don’t let him off easy.
“I know I should have my guard up high since he literally turned me down to my face not two days ago and told me there was another girl he liked more…”
Yeah, ya think??? *face palm*
This is the worst.
The MMC decides on her finally, and starts to majorly flirt with her… and she is all for it! 🤯Ugh, where is your self respect?! She seriously acts like he didn’t totally lead her on and then destroy her 2 days ago!
It takes him forever to say sorry. He’s just sending mixed messages and expecting her to be fine with it. (I hate that she is.)
And she throws her $800 phone in the ocean on purpose to avoid her secret being discovered when she already knew it would be revealed in 2 days?
This is so baffling. and lame.
I can’t stand it any longer. I’m not finishing the last chapter or the epilogue. I do not care.
Plot- meh
Characters- insecure, oblivious, immature, and timid main characters.
Romance- crappy chemistry
Writing - So, so cheesy.
One example of many: in the MMC’s POV he thinks, “my kerfluffle.” What the heck.😭
Also, please stop saying “Casanova”!!! Their banter is so cringy! And they have had a bajillion awkward moments, even when they’re kissing.
Content-
Language- no swearing Spice- one make out. He asks for her consent as he went, which I liked. I liked that they are both virgins and don’t want to rush things. Violence- no Substance abuse- one super cringy drunk scene. Cover- ok POV- dual POV, first person Cliffhanger- no. Format- audio via Libby app Narration- not good!! The male narrator has the worst female voice.
(4.5 Stars) The final installment in the Eden Falls Academy series is a sweet and heartfelt story that takes place the summer after graduation.
Nash is the son of a billionaire family, yet he is so insecure and slightly awkward around girls, while remaining down-to-earth, especially after the rough time he had in high school. I love how Corry touches on some tough teen topics and still maintains the magic and lightness of a first, young love. I grew to adore him and loved watching him come into his true self.
The texts between the "wrong number" girl and his blossoming friendship with the girl in the backyard, Kiara, are the best! And a sudden fake relationship status (and a secret identity as well) only served to magnify the sparks. Kiara is a great character, full of spunk and sweetness, yet she also doesn't quite feel confident in herself, since she works for her mom for the summer cleaning Nash's house (and room) and feels like he's out of her league.
It's so much fun to dig deeper into people's lives to realize there is more to them than first impressions and appearances. There's so much to love within these pages and some of my favorite things are:
💋acting in the Renaissance fair 💋baking scrumptious desserts 💋swoony kisses 💋simple and exotic summer adventures 💋laser tag 💋new (and old) friendships
There's a lot to this coming-of-age story and it was the perfect summer young adult romance. And can I just say--that epilogue is perfection!
Content: underage drinking (parties); mild+ romance (steamy kissing/making out, some light innuendo, and thoughts of taking things further but not); off-screen talk of murder/death
*I received a complimentary copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own and were voluntarily given.*
I am a huge fan of Judy Corry and the Eden Falls Academy characters and I have been dying to read to Nash's story, especially after reading The Ruse. I was so happy the author released it a few days early and I couldn't put it down once I got started! Nash and Kiara are so dang cute, I love the way they connected and felt safe to tell each other their deepest secrets. Truthfully the story was completely different from how I thought it would be but I loved it - it was perfect. I am sad that the series feels like its coming to an end - I love the Eden Falls world!
Blah… I wanted to like this so badly, but maybe I’m just past my YA phase because I cannot deal with this level of teenage romance anymore. Honestly, Nash was kind of a real dick. And Kiara acted like a love-sick puppy who saw absolutely no wrong in him, and it was just… yuck.
Yeah, sure, Nash was technically a nice guy deep down, but his actions were not it for me. And Kiara forgiving every little thing drove me up the wall. Of course everything worked out and everyone got their HEA, as YA books always do, but I was so annoyed for most of it that it totally took me out of the story.
NASH IS SUCH A PLAYBOY 😭😭 and not in a good way. the one thing i did like was that the books showed his vulnerable sides and insecurities. tho it still portrayed him like some kind of god -_-. i hate playboys being idolized
kiara could have saved so much trouble and anguish by just being HONEST FROM THE START arghhh miscommunication
they had some funny moments tho. Like the duke scene and the pineappled scene.
and some really swoony moments too hehe. the treasure hunt was the sweetest thing ever. I loved it
but yeah....
also Judy Corry's writing style has rlly changed - it's still clean but a lot steamier than it used to be 😭😭 and um they party a whole lot more than I remember? like I remember them being a lot more wholesome 😭
also yeah it idolises nash way too much.
I really hated how he basically looked at her like a servant as well until towards the end.
i loved seeing Cambrielle, Carter, Asher, Elyse and Mack again tho. their friendgroup>>>
also the whole college thing was interesting
also thought the whole thing was dragged a bit - didn't have to be that long
Is it a shock I loved yet another of her books? Seriously these books have crack in them or something. I love the dynamic between all the characters and how they all connect one way or another.
Cute! Cute! Cute! I love reading Judy Corrys YA novels. They always have a unique element to them. This one had my emotions all over the place. I just wanted everyone to be happy but also didn’t because I didn’t want it to end. This has been such a fun series. I can’t wait to see what’s next
Rating: 4/5⭐️ ✨ Summary: I've always been invisible to Nash Hastings—the beautiful boy I've been in love with since one magical night last summer. A night he doesn't even remember. Until an accidental text puts it back on his radar. But I can't tell him the girl he met at his family's garden party is now a housekeeper in his family's mansion. ✨ Review: I didn't realize this was a part of a series, but I didn't need to read it in the order to understand what was going on. This was a cute YA closed door (no spice) romance and it was perfect. so easy to read and it was just as cute as you would think it would be. I will go back and read the others in the series.
– this is part of a series, but can be read as a stand-alone
– this is told from Kiara & Nash’s points of view
– Nash struggled with drinking enough alcohol to get black out drunk (past event – last summer – that is brought up in his own mind frequently as something important to the story he forgot due to this issue); he also struggled with looking for validation from people online at that time (which led to his drunk tendencies)
– Kiara struggles with missing her father (he is an alcoholic & Kiara & her mother are not with him – physically – for majority of the book; we only see him in the epilogue)
– Kiara accidentally drinks some alcohol at a party (nothing happens to her in her drunken state beyond her being embarrassingly happy/joyful)
– Nash accidentally sees Kiara in her underwear (she was changing into pjs; their rooms face each other but are a fair distance away from one another)
– a side character mentions that their family was killed by a cartel (past event in another state; side character is hiding out/on the run with another side character)
– one of Kiara & Nash’s kissing scenes had Kiara removing Nash’s shirt
Review:
Before this book, I wasn’t really a fan of Nash. I don’t know if I just didn’t understand him or if it was because of the narrators of the other books and what they thought of him/their interactions with him swayed me in that direction. I came to this book because of the snippet at the end of The Confidant and Kiara’s interactions with the characters in that book. I wanted to see her find love and how she fell for Nash in the first place.
In the process of reading this book, I not only continued to fall in love with Kiara’s character, I also fell for Nash and what kind of person he was. I learned just how his past failed relationships shaped him and his thoughts of himself. I loved that Kiara held out hope against everything that came up pointing to Nash not being interested in her the same way (at least in her mind it seemed that way). I’m glad that though her friend dated Nash first, her friend wasn’t ever invested enough to cause a rift between the two girls when Kiara finally got her chance with him. Some of my favorite scenes in this book included: Kiara getting invited to just about every date/outing her friend had with Nash, reenacting the famous Titanic boat scene, the Fourth of July, after the beach party, the fair, their conversations (both as text pen pals & in person), their stint fake dating, the treasure hunt, and Nash realizing that he likes spending time with Kiara.
Summary:
Kiara fell for Nash after a wonderful night spent with him last summer, but subsequently had her heart broken when he didn’t meet with her the next day like they planned to. Now she has to work for his family in order to save up for college & is spending time around Nash when her friend’s interest in him is piqued. The worst part is, Nash doesn’t seem to know who Kiara is or that they’ve already met. Could he have really forgotten? The answer comes to her in the form of an accidental text. Nash had no recollection of their meeting, but time and their conversation is bringing it back piece by piece. What will happen if Nash realizes that the girl he kissed last summer is the same girl cleaning his family’s house? Kiara isn’t sure she wants to ever find out…
Nash has had trouble finding a relationship where the girl is just as into him as he was her. He has a tendency to fall fast and hard and has a long history of being broken hearted when things don’t work out. But maybe he finally found someone who has fallen as far as himself, he just forgot. Pieces of a garden party kiss have been filtering into his memory and Nash is desperate to find out the identity of the mystery girl. But she doesn’t want to meet yet and is content with just texting Nash from afar. After spending so much time with Kiara and the mystery girl being distant, Nash wonders if it’s worth hurting the girl right in front of him and losing her for the one that is distant.
It was good. Not as great as I expected, but still good, a solid 3.5.
I am glad we finally got Nash's story. I almost wish it came after Elyse and Asher's story since I was so sad for him after everything that happened in that book.
I liked that Kiara was someone different and not from their school. Even though the series is named Eden Falls Academy, it was nice that one of the gang ended up with a girl from the public school whose life wasn't as extravagant and theirs.
The main reason I didn't like this as much as I expected was the many different subplots that were happening. I liked Alessi, and I thought the conflicted feelings Nash was having was interesting, but it just dragged on too long. Not to mention, I didn't love how Kiara . I thought the inclusion of Tristan, while important to given Kiara a back story was another subplot that I could have done without. It would have been fine if Kiara and Nash were hanging around him and he was jealous, but then adding in Nash .
Despite the above mentions, there were other subplots I would have like more of, mainly Kiara and her father's relationship and why Nash was feeling the way he was last summer that caused him to drink. It's a pretty big storyline to include a teenager who had a drinking problem. Nash mentioned it a few times and said why he was drinking, but I didn't really get any understanding about what was causing his feelings that made him want to forget.
The main romance part of this book was Kiara's .
The last four books in the series all had epilogues that focused on the character(s) in the next book. I think it would have been nice to have a final status of the whole crew's lives. We know from some of their epilogues if they got married or were in college together, but I would have loved to see where all 5 couples were maybe even farther in the future. I do know that Addie will be getting a spin-off book in a new series, so I understand why she was in the epilogue, but honestly, I knew after about the third book in the series I would read her story. Her inclusion in the main part of the story actually almost gave too much information and I don't think the mention in the epilogue was necessary.
I received an ARC for The Confession from the author.
The Confession by Judy Corry is the fifth and final book in the Eden Falls Academy Series. All of the Eden Falls couples make appearances in The Confession, so if you’ve read the series, you’ll be familiar with some of your favorite pairs. If you haven’t read any Eden Falls books, you can read this as a stand-alone, but it will give you some spoilers if you choose to go back and read the rest of the series, which you totally should.
Kiara has spent a whole year crushing hard on Nash Hastings, but unfortunately for her he doesn’t seem to remember her, even though she lives in the small cottage behind his house. Now that she’s graduated, she is spending the summer working with her mom and cleaning his house, specifically his room. Now that she’s in closer proximity to Nash, she hopes that he’ll start to notice her, and maybe remember their one moment together the previous summer.
Nash Hastings is ridiculously good looking, a talented actor and singer, and unlucky at love. He has his own fan club of freshman, but he’s the only one in his friend group that hasn’t found someone. When Nash meets Kiara’s friend he thinks that she might be worth pursuing, but the more time he spends with Kiara, the more he becomes confused.
The book was so cute. I felt like I was 18 again and was pining after an unrequited crush. Judy Corry does such a great job transporting you to that time in your life (or if you’re in that time of your life relating to those feelings). She gives such a teenage voice to Nash, so much so, where I found myself frustrated with how unaware he was. She gave me all the teenage angst and kept me guessing on where everything was headed. I absolutely loved that aspect. We get all the steamy kisses while keeping it clean. That may not be everyone’s jam, but I am firm believer in a good love story over spice any day. If you love sweet YA with angst, this will definitely meet your expectations.
I am distraught that the series is over, but so happy that the guy I couldn't stand in The Ruse turned out to be the sweetest guy at Eden Falls Academy.
This is a Cinderella-esque story, with Nash, the son of a billionaire and Kiara, the daughter of Nash's family 's head of staff, a temporary maid. There's a party, hidden identity, and a search for the girl who captured his attention. Even a *fairy godmother* 😉 Actually, I'd claim that there are two, but that's definitely up for debate.
I have been on pins and needles waiting for this book. After the love triangle in The Ruse showed Nash as pretty cocky, I was skeptical of him in the romantic MMC role. At the same time, Judy's really good at redemptive arcs. So when the sneak peek at the end of The Confidant hinted at Nash and Kiara's story, I was curious. And I needed the book right then. It was beyond worth the wait.
Nash went through A LOT in this series, and it came to a head in this book. He's feeling second best (read The Charade to find out why) and unlovable (read The Ruse to understand that). And he gets to know Kiara who's feeling unlovable and second best for her own reasons... The fears are so relatable, and heartbreakingly so. Their slow burn from friendly to more is a bumpy ride that shows incredible growth from them as individuals and together.
Yes, there are heavy things in this book (alcoholism, classism, absent former military parent), but there's also hilarious flirting, friend reunions, including a crossover from Judy's Bridgewater High series! (Come on...just go read her whole backlist, ok?) Oh, and some steamy kisses. So good. No more than makeout scenes!
If you like YA romance, You've Got Mail, and Lynn Painter 's adult contemporary, Mr. Wrong Number, you'll love this book!
“The Confession” is a heartwarming and sweet YA story that you just can’t put down once you’ve started it! The story follows Nash and Kiara, two eighteen-years-olds fresh out of highschool, during their eventful summer. Nash, a gentle, kind and witty boy coming from a rich family, has not had the best of luck in the love department and life has been anything but easy on him, especially the past year. On the other side you have Kiara, whose life has also changed drastically throughout the past year and therefore has to fight insecurities and fears. This does not stop her from being a giving and sweet girl to everyone around her! The author did amazing in making her characters relatable. I felt with both Nash and Kiara and was able to understand both of them as the story went on. With each chapter you learn more about their characters and their respective stories; one of the reasons I couldn’t put down the book! You just wanted to know more and more about them and how their relationship would progress. Their relationship, by the way, was perfectly paced in my opinion. Not too fast, but not too slow either and very cute and loving overall. I love how we got to see them slowly but surely get to know each other more. A huge aspect that I personally liked a lot was the emotional depth this book shows us. The characters have so much to them and show a lot of maturity at times. All in all, this book definitely presented a super lovable couple (a golden retriever kind of book-boyfriend you just have to adore!), a great plot with twists and turns, and amazing characters overall.
Did I finally get an ARC for one of Judy Corry’s books? Yes, yes I did. Did I finish said book on the day I got it? Yes to that. Am I about to share how much I heavily enjoyed this last book of the Eden Falls Academy series? You bet I am!
But seriously, I really loved Nash as a character and was so excited to finally have his love story out in the open. Well, not really in the open because the book doesn’t come out until July 25th but you know what I mean. Ugh, I couldn’t help but binge read all in one sitting as we dove into not just Nash’s mind (the poor baby) but also read a little more about the barista from the Confiant, Kiara Matheson. Personally, I can sit here all day and talk about how happy I am that Nash got the love story he desperately deserved but let me talk about this book overall.
It was seriously some perfect timing for release! The Confession is a summer romance and you get to read about everyone’s favorite Eden Falls golden retriever finding the love all his friends and siblings have achieved in the past. If you harbored a crush at some point in your life, you could definitely relate to some moments in Kiara’s POV. I thought it teetered a bit on the edge of a rom-com with a few laugh-out-loud moments. And I couldn’t help but kick my feet at all the sweet and swoony moments. I’m sad the series is over but it was the perfect ending to it all. I couldn’t have thought of anything better.
This is as much as I can say without spoiling it for you, so go and pick up the book when it drops on July 25th if you want to know more!
The Confession is the 5th book in the Eden Falls Academy series. I had not read the previous books in the series, and while I could definitely tell there were moments where something was brought up from one of the previous books, I found this read just fine as a standalone without any confusion.
I don't typically read a whole lot of YA novels--- not because they're not great, but because I find sometimes, they can just be a little more difficult for me as a 35-year-old to relate to. But I really enjoyed the teasers I'd seen from this one, so I decided to give it a shot anyway. I must admit that when I started reading this one, I did fear it was going to be that way... and it did take me a little while to get into the story. But once I was in? I couldn't put it down! The chemistry between Kiara and Nash was absolutely fantastic and while there was a LOT going on in this story, it all came together really well. I loved the hint of fake dating (one of my favorite tropes), the text exchanges and everything in between.
The Confession is a closed-door romance, with nothing beyond kissing... but boy, those kisses! I would say this leans toward a Level 3 on The Writing Gals Clean & Wholesome diagram.
Overall, this was a really fun read. This is the first book I've read by the author, but it certainly will not be the last.
**I received an ARC for consideration. All opinions are my own.
I love Judy Corry’s books. They’re all so sweet and funny. The Confession is no different.
This is the 5th book in the stand-alone Eden Falls Academy series, of which I’ve read all but one! (Maybe I’ll snag a copy of that last one in 2024 to complete the set???)
The Confession is the story of Kiara and Nash. Kiara is the daughter of Nash’s head housekeeper. Nash is the son of a billionaire. What could they possibly have in common? Turns out, a lot!
This book is part Cinderella story in that Kiara and Nash first met face-to-face at a costume ball hosted at Nash’s house where Kiara was helping to serve food. They shared a moment that left an impact on Kiara, but Nash seemed to forget she existed the next day.
When they cross paths again later, it’s Kiara’s outspoken and beautiful friend that Nash falls for. Heartbroken, Kiara tries to keep her feelings for Nash a secret. But when she accidentally texts Nash and he has no clue who she is, they begin a text conversation that blossoms into more. And as Kiara’s friend continuously blows Nash off, she ends up taking her place with Nash again and again. Kiara wants to fess up to Nash that she’s the mystery girl on text, but won’t Nash be mad that she’s been lying to him for so long at this point? Or, maybe, could Nash forgive her for the lie and realize they’re perfect for each other?
If you’ve read any of Judy Corry’s other books and liked them, you’ll enjoy this adorable story.
“And when he looked up at me and smiled, an overwhelming rush of happiness washed over me. Because he was smiling at me.”
If you’re looking for a cute/sweet romance with unrequited crushes, fake relationship moments, and forced proximity (maid x billionaire), I highly recommend reading The Confession!
When I first started reading the Eden Falls Academy series, I was certain that none of the other couples would compare to Asher and Elyse. However, after reading The Confession, I can confidently say that Nash and Kiara have become one of my favorite book couples.
Here’s why: - Nash and Kiara are both extremely relatable characters. I found myself resonating with Kiara as she fell in love with Nash from afar. I appreciated the maturity of both characters as they navigated through their respective feelings. - Nash and Kiara have history (even if only one of them remembers). - Both characters are so sweet and care so much about each other. - There were so many sweet moments between them (the list, the scavenger hunt and the conversations they shared are some of my favorites🥹)!
In my opinion, The Confession, such a fun read. I loved the plot, the characters, and the tropes that were included in the book. I mean who wouldn’t love a book about a billionaire boy next door and a sweet girl that secretly crushes on him! And secret pen pals?!? This book was just too good!
"The Confession" is a beautiful and sweet YA romance written by author Judy Corry! I absolutely love this story. The characters feel very well-written and three-dimensional! Kiara and Nash were so much fun to get to know. The author has done great work creating lovable, three-dimensional, and well developed characters who both possess their own individual personalities and traits. The personal and emotional difficulties that both Kiara and Nash face are expressed very well. We see that despite how outwardly different they appear to be from each other in society's eyes— they are actually very alike in regard to the kindness, strength, and caring attitude they both possess. It was interesting to see how they met the first time and the second time! I also liked seeing the strong respective friendships between Kiara and Alessi, Kiara and Addie, and Nash and Hunter. The speed of the plot was perfect, the author's writing style feels smooth and polished, and the story was always fun, sweet, and enthralling. This book is definitely a page-turner! The romantic tension between Nash and Kiara was well-written and their romance and chemistry felt real, swoony, and emotionally deep. There were so many fun and sweet moments! I also really liked seeing Kiara realize her own value and self-worth and seeing them both grow and change as people. It was wonderful to see them slowly realize the depth of their feelings for each other and have the bravery to be emotionally vulnerable. 5 stars! "The Confession" is Young Adult Romance at its very finest! Read this book, you'll be so glad you did. Thank you very much to the author for providing me with the wonderful opportunity of being on her ARC Team and for providing me with a digital copy to read and review honestly.
I just finished reading the Eden Falls Academy series and feel a bit sad because I really enjoyed all five books and the characters. The final book, "The Confession," focuses on Nash and Kiara, and I think the author did a great job with it.
From the other books, we learned a little about Nash and his bad luck with love, even though he is gorgeous, sweet, and charismatic. It was time we got his story, and it did not disappoint. I love learning about all his layers and discovering that his Casanova persona was a shield from his insecurities. Most of the time, we see this side from the female characters, so it was nice to see it from a male character, as we all suffer from insecurities at some point, no matter who we are.
Kiara also suffers from the same insecurities and imposter syndrome because she feels Nash would never choose her due to her class. She also has her own demons and struggles, so it was a good combination. I liked how both characters evolved throughout the story, and I wish there were more.
After binge-reading all the books, I'm left wanting more. While the epilogues provided a glimpse into the characters' futures, I feel there's still more to explore. I enjoyed the author’s writing and how quickly I got lost in her books, so I immediately bought another one of her series.
Enjoyable read although much longer than it needed to be. Nash was adorable (mature for his age) but Kiara made some really weird decisions throughout and had an odd relationship with her best friend. I was a little grossed out by the kissing after vomiting. There was mouthwash but still… 🤢
If you’re a fan of the author’s other books you’re in luck because she tries really hard to get as many of her old characters in here as possible, to the degree that I got a bit lost and those sections just felt like filler. There was too much emphasis on building up the couple for her next book. It felt very out of place since it didn’t add anything to this story other than extra words. I normally love inter connected standalones but not when it feels forced and it wasn’t necessary since I’m sure people would want to read it regardless of already meeting the characters here.
Despite my moaning, it was a good read, possibly the best of the Eden falls ones. It was clean (swearing like “oh my heck” which makes me roll my eyes, but there was a bit more physical attraction than the typical indie YA (excluding the smutty bully ones of course) which I personally loved. Judy writes the kissing scenes really well and I hope she’ll up the heat level in the future.
Allllll the tropes in this story were so much fun!!! Nash & Kiera’s story might be one of my favorites but let’s be serious I’ve loved this whole series. Nash’s family is rich and Kiera’s mom works for his family. Kiera just graduated high school and needed to make some money for college so she is now a maid for his family. I love the cute stories where one of them has had a crush on the other but didn’t think anything would ever happen until it does🥹 I loved how Judy Corry added Duke to the story. I love that little guy so much!!! At about 70% in my heart dropped for Kiera. The whole situation sucks and to hear him express these feelings he has and not knowing the truth 😭 it’s hard for me not to be mad at her for not telling him the truth when they started getting closer. Addie getting added to the story was a great touch especially hearing how heartbreaking her life has been. I’m so freaking excited for the next one especially since she left us hanging at the end with the other characters. This is a HEA, don’t you worry! It’s a clean romance but the steamy kissing scenes and the pervy jokes were great!
4.5 stars I greatly enjoyed this book! I was excited to see that Nash finally got his own book and I couldn’t wait to see how it would turn out. Nash was an interesting character and I had some mixed feelings about him, but I grew to love him in his book. The Confession is the fifth book in Judy Corry’s Eden Falls Academy series and it was so good! Nash and Kiara were a sweet couple together. I love how they were friends first. It was fun to read about them connecting. There was definitely more to Nash then I would have expected. He was so sweet and considerate but he was also struggling. Kiara was also a wonderful character, it was interesting getting to read more about her. She was kind and I love how she worked hard. Nash and Kiara helped bring out the best in each other. The book was engaging and I wanted to see how Nash and Kiara were going to end up together. There were many twists and turns that had me turning pages. It was cool to see old characters again and I always enjoy reading about siblings' relationships. I really like how Corry fleshed out the characters and they started to feel real. I would definitely recommend The Confession! It is a closed door contemporary romance.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion, I was not required to write a positive review.
I always loved Nash in the previous series and really was hoping to find out his story. He had tried to kiss a girl before and got the cheek instead, then he got passed over by Elyse. The poor guy went through so much, he deserves his happily ever after.
I loved Kiara, she was really relatable in this story and I’m so glad the author made a character like her. She fits so well with Nash.
Kiara met Nash at a party a year before the story takes place. Nash promised her that he would meet her by the falls but turns out, he wasn’t that sober so he forgot. When Nash meets Kiara again, he helps her a table and meets her friend, Alessi, that took Nash’s attention. Kiara had given advice and support for their relationship, including going to a party. When there, Kiara is greeted by the sight of her ex and his girlfriend. To make them jealous, Alessi comes up with the brilliant plan of of making Kiara and Nash be fake boyfriend-girlfriend.
I enjoyed this story a lot because it really took twists and turns I didn’t expect. I love Judy Corry’s work and can’t wait for more!!
When I saw this book pop up everywhere, I decided to give it a shot. I've never read anything by this author before, nor have I read any of the previous books.
What first struck me during reading this book was the lack of communication between Kiara and Nash and well everyone else, too. It continued to an extent that it became unbelievable, and I started to think to myself that 'no one can be that oblivious can they?.' Secondly, the storyline, in my opinion, was dragged out, and I found the dialogue very she said, he said. Thirdly, the characters themselves. Like I previously stated, no one can be that oblivious to advances. Kiara wasn't a great friend, in my opinion, and I disliked her from the start. Nash was OK, but after a while, I found him to be a like fake and over the top. I did like the other characters, and I might go back and read their stories.
Unfortunately for Nash and Kiara, though, sorry, but I wouldn't recommend their book.
