Finally, we come to the end of Kansa’s story and what a grand conclusion it is! In truth, Kansa brings about his own doom when he invites Krishna to his palace, unknowingly setting the stage for his downfall. This final book ties the trilogy together beautifully, with the tale of Kansa ending in a truly spectacular way.

Each step that leads to this climax is illustrated in rich detail. One of the most striking moments for me was the encounter with Kalia, the multiheaded serpent, pictured in all its magnificent and terrifying form. Page after page, Kanha takes on one adversary after another, like pieces moving steadily across a chessboard until the final checkmate is delivered.

I wholeheartedly recommend this trilogy to anyone wishing to introduce their children to Indian culture in a simple yet beautifully illustrated manner. The stories impart knowledge while the artwork keeps both young readers and adults delightfully engaged.

Amma Tell Me How Krishna Defeated Kansa is the last part of the Krishna trilogy. The book begins with a shloka from the Bhagavad Gita.

Klaka and Kiki once again sit beside their mother for another storytelling session. This time, their mother tells the story of Krishna's glory. The book takes us through Krishna’s adventures after coming to Vrindavan. In Vrindavan, Krishna becomes the light of everyone’s life.

We learn how Krishna defeated Kaliya, the many-headed serpent, and drove him away from the Yamuna. It also narrates the story of how Indradev lost his temper and sent heavy rain and thunder their way. Krishna lifted the Govardhan Parvat on his little finger for seven days and seven nights to protect the people.

Hearing about Krishna’s glory, Kansa became afraid and invited Krishna to Mathura. In the end, the story explains how Krishna killed Kansa, freed Vasudev and Devaki, and restored King Ugrasena to the throne of Mathura.

The illustrations are vivid and colorful, making it easy for children to imagine the scenes. The simple writing style makes it accessible for young readers. This book is a beautiful blend of storytelling and visuals.

In this third and final part of the trilogy, Amma Tell Me How Krishna defeated Kansa describes the incidents of defeating Kaliya Naag, the lifting of Govardhan Parvat, and the climactic moment of Krishna defeating Kansa. My 4-year-olds had heard a Gujarati song about the episode of Kaliya Naag, so when we read about it line by line in English, they could also picturise it in their mind's eye. Moving on to the episode of lifting the Govardhan Parvat, they were first amazed and wondered if the feat was even possible. So, it allowed me to discuss the distinction between human and divine and how mythology uses metaphors to bring home unique moral lessons. We discussed how pride and ego can sometimes make us lose sight of the trouble we create for everyone we care for and love. And finally, the story arrived at the episode of the wrestling match at Mathura. It was something we had to pause and process instead of just reading through. 4.5 years is not an age at which my kids understand that people in leadership have to make hard decisions. But the book gave us a chance to talk about this wonderful legacy of our mythology and some more. We ended the series with much better appreciation for Krishna and the philosophical nuances of various events of his life. We gladly recommend this series to kids and parents alike.

Amma, tell me how Krishna defeated Kansa. —Bhakti Mathur

"My true being is unborn and changeless. I am the Lord who dwells in every creature. Through the power of my own maya, I manifest myself in a finite form.”

Amma tells her kids, Klaka and Kiki, about how Krishna defeated Kansa. In the last book, he fought the demons that his uncle Kansa sent to kill Krishna. Kansa trapped him in the river using Kaliya to spill venom in the water. But Krishna, without any hindrance, proved with his heroic acts to get rid of the snake. Vrindavan dearly loved him, along with many other bravery acts that happened.

The last book in the trilogy. My most favorite in the trilogy. I heard many stories about Lord Krishna through my grandma. The author has beautifully narrated the story of our dear Krishna. We all dearly love him, be it for his heroic acts or mischievous acts around gopis to steal better. The illustrations were so splendid to make kids feel the story. We all know how evil Kansa was. But Krishna fought him too and defeated his evil actions. Definitely a must-read for kids to know our history and culture. Even adults would love to read it.

The final book in the Krishna series beautifully narrates how Krishna defeated Kansa and freed his birth parents, fulfilling the hopes of all who believed in him. This series has been a huge hit among the children in my book club—they loved every story and even recommended it to their friends. Now, we’re all excited to continue our journey with the ‘Amma, Tell Me’ series. A big thank you to the author for bringing these stories to life with such stunning illustrations.

Children’s literature, especially the retellings of Indian mythology, often fits on a precarious balance beam; it must enchant without overwhelming, simply narrating without diluting, and educates little kids without sermonizing. Bhakti Mathur’s "Amma, Tell Me How Krishna Defeated Kansa!", the third and final book in her Krishna trilogy, attempts exactly this. It carries the weight of being both a bedtime story and a cultural introduction, while also trying to stay relevant in a global children’s book market that often prizes fast-paced plots and glittering illustrations over spiritual depth.

This book is not merely about retelling the myth; it’s about transmitting ethos, the values of courage, humility, goodness, and the timeless assurance that justice, though delayed, eventually prevails. On that level, it succeeds brilliantly.

The book talks about,
🍃Transformation and destiny: Unlike the earlier volumes of this series, where Krishna is the butter-thief(Makhanchor), the prankster(Natkhat), or the miraculous child(chamatkari), here he shines as a protector and liberator. Chapters like the taming of Kaliya, lifting of Govardhan, and ultimately slaying Kansa are not just thrilling action moments, but they symbolize something greater and bigger.
🍃Kaliya episode : It is a metaphor or example for cleansing the poisoned, corrupted situations of society, it is for restoring purity where darkness seeps in.
🍃Govardhan lifting: It is a great reminder that explains humility before nature outweighs blind ritualism. Krishna’s act is not rebellion against Indra alone; it’s an ecological example on balance, protection, and reverence.
🍃Defeating Kansa: The culmination of fate, where personal joy gives way to duty, and playfulness transitions into moral responsibility.

The book, in this way, is more than a children’s tale. It is a child’s first lesson in the cyclical battle between good and evil, pride and humility, love and fear.

✍️ Strengths :

🔸The illustrations are arguably one of the book’s strongest asset. They are Vivid, colourful, and shining with motion that it creates a cinematic quality. A little kid just doesn’t read about Krishna lifting Govardhan, but they visualise it.

🔸The author has a gift for every complex myths that transmits through language that even a six-year-old kid can easily grasp. For global readers unfamiliar with Hindu culture, this simplicity is a boon.

🔸The recurring presence of Amma narrating to Klaka and Kiki is just a brilliant narrative tool. It keeps the mythological touch grounded in domestic intimacy, reminding us that culture is often passed over not through textbooks, but through the tender ritual of storytelling.

✒️ Areas for Improvement:

▪️While the easy accessibility of the book is a virtue, the narration sometimes strips away the ambiguity that make myths timeless. For instance, Indra’s wrath and Krishna’s defiance could have been presented with more moral complexity rather than just a “bad god vs. good boy.” Children can handle shades of grey more than adults assume.

▪️By the third book, the rhyming style and predictable narrative becomes quite monotonous. The format feels a bit constrained, like a melody that repeats too often in your ears . A break in the predicable rhythm, even a slight shift to prose in the basic moments of high drama, would have elevated the impact.

▪️Krishna’s killing of Kansa, an important event, almost rushes in the climax. There should be a little exploration of the emotional gravity; after all, this is not just the slaying of a tyrant but also the freeing of Krishna’s parents.

In conclusion, it is a classic, radiant, celebratory and engaging conclusion to Bhakti Mathur’s Krishna trilogy series. It delights children, gives kids joy, offers parents a cultural bridge for younger kids, and makes mythology approachable without making it intimidating. On those fronts, it is a triumph. Yet, as a critical reader, one cannot ignore that in its attempt to make stories accessible, the book sometimes sands away the raw textures of myth, the contradictions, the fear, the awe, the deep silences. Still, its heart is in the right place. It entertains, educates, and leaves children with joy, and joy is not a small thing in a children’s book. If the first two books introduced Krishna as a miraculous child and mischievous boy, this final installment secures him in the child’s imagination as the eternal hero who stood up for what was right, even against impossible odds.

For parents, it’s a beautiful gift to read aloud. For children, it’s a stepping stone into the vast, wondrous ocean of Indian mythology. For critics, it’s a reminder that even the brightest jewels sometimes lose a little shine when polished too smooth.

Imagine sitting on a swing, on the roof, amongst potted plants & under the evening sky while stars begin to appear & listening to the tales of Krishna narrated by your mum..surreal, isn't it?!

This book brings a wonderful end to the trilogy as well as the story. Kaliya naag, various demons sent by Kansa, his favourite elephant, even God Indra are out to task for their arrogance & ill motives. The story ends with the death of Kansa.

The rhyming verses, the awe inspiring full page colourful eye catching illustrations make for a wonderful experience while reading as well as listening to the story.

I totally recommend this series to anyone who wants to give an interface to young children with the stories of Krishna.

In the captivating third installment of the "Amma Tell Me" series, titled "How Krishna Defeated Kansa," we delve into the enchanting tale of Krishna’s adventures after he arrives in the serene village of Vrindavan. To protect their beloved son from the relentless pursuit of fearsome demons, Yashoda and Nanda decide to bring Krishna to the lush, idyllic pastures of Vrindavan. Here, Krishna is depicted as a charming and playful young lad, with twinkling eyes and a mischievous grin, whose heart swells with affection for the gentle cows that roam the meadows. His flute melodies resonate through the air, casting a magical spell that captivates everyone who hears them.

Yet, danger looms as the demons continue to lurk in the shadows, intent on capturing him. The narrative beautifully captures significant moments from Krishna’s early life, such as the awe-inspiring Govardhan Giri episode, where, with remarkable strength and grace, he effortlessly lifts the massive Govardhan Hill on his little finger for an astonishing seven days, providing shelter to the villagers from a torrential downpour. The book also vividly describes the thrilling confrontation with Kalia, the monstrous serpent who emerges from the depths of the Yamuna River, sending shivers down the spines of all who witness the fierce battle.

As the trilogy reaches its climax, the story culminates in an epic showdown with the malevolent demon king Kansa. Readers are transported to the heart of this dramatic conflict, where Krishna and his loyal brother Balram join forces to vanquish the tyrant and restore peace to the land.

This enchanting three-book series offers young readers a richly illustrated journey through the legendary tales of Krishna, featuring vibrant artwork, eye-catching book covers, and engaging storytelling that piques the curiosity of children across all ages.

Bhakti Mathur's Amma Tell Me Krishna trilogy comes to its spectacular conclusion in Amma Tell Me How Krishna Defeated Kansa!, a book which brings the mischievous playfulness, burgeoning strength, and divine mission of Krishna's life round full circle.

Where Book 1 presented us with baby Krishna's miraculous birth and Book 2 captured his adorable tricks and early achievements, this third book enters a more dramatic landscape. The story of Krishna is traced from a much-loved child of Gokul to the predestined hero who has to fight evil in all its forms. Through incidents such as subduing the poisonous snake Kaliya, hoisting the massive Govardhan Hill to protect villagers from Indra's fury, and ultimately defeating the oppressive king Kansa, the book traces the transformation of Krishna's role — from revered guardian to divine liberator.

Mathur's signature rhyming verse still shines, making mythological stories difficult but accessible and memorable for kids, with the rich illustrations by Maulshree Somani infusing a sense of wonder and presence. The narrative still remains warm, set in Amma's night-time chats with Klaka and Kiki, keeping alive the closeness of family storytelling even when the story's stakes are raised.

As the trilogy ends, one can feel its balance of levity and seriousness — a reminder that the divine is both a playful child and an unflinching advocate of justice. For children, this book entertains while also teaching timeless values: standing up to danger, humility in the presence of nature, and the final victory of good over evil.

Together, the Krishna trilogy is a great introduction to Indian legend, combining religion and myth into stories that are interesting, poetic, and richly drawn. With this final book, Mathur provides readers with closure, but also with the lingering enchantment of Krishna's lasting presence.

I'd like to give this book a 4 stars because I haven't read the other two parts in the series. Despite that, I enjoyed this standalone story, and now I'm interested in reading the other two books as well. Also, this "Amma Tell Me" series is a great way to introduce children to the legendary tales of Krishna in a fun and exciting way. Perfect for gifting to young ones, for a change, gifting them something like this cute and sweet book is a perfect idea. The part 3 of the Krishna Trilogy, Amma Tell Me How Krishna Defeated Kansa!, beautifully continues the enchanting storytelling style that has made this series such a delight for children and parents alike. The story is framed through Amma narrating to her curious little ones, which makes the experience feel warm and personal. This volume takes us deeper into Krishna’s journey as he grows from a mischievous child in Vrindavan into the brave young hero destined to defeat the evil king Kansa.

The narrative highlights some of the most iconic episodes of Krishna’s life—his mesmerizing flute-playing in Vrindavan, his playful tricks, and the awe-inspiring moments when he dances upon the serpent Kalia’s head and lifts the mighty Govardhan Hill on his little finger to protect the villagers from Indra’s fury. Each tale is told in simple, engaging English that flows effortlessly, making it perfect for bedtime reading or for young readers to enjoy on their own.

The illustrations deserve special mention once again; they are vibrant, detailed, and full of life, adding an extra layer of magic to the storytelling. My little one was captivated by the imagery, especially the scenes of Krishna’s bravery and playfulness. By the time Amma ends her tale and the children drift into sleep, the book has already done its job—igniting imagination, sparking curiosity, and keeping our cultural stories alive in the most delightful way.

This book is not just a retelling of mythology; it is a bridge between generations, ensuring that children grow up cherishing the timeless tales of Krishna.

After completing the first two books of Amma Tells Me About Krishna, here I am reading the last one in the trilogy.

In the first book we get to know about the birth of Krishna and how Janmashtami is cherished and celebrated. In the second book, we get to know about Krishna’s childhood and how he fought against three demons, which were summoned by Kansa to kill him. Along with that, we can know about the mischievous side of Krishna.

In the last book, we get to see the grown-up Krishna and how he grabs the attention of people via his bravery, his charm, and his way of playing the flute, and everyone in the village is mesmerized by him.

It includes details about how Krishna helps to kill the snake, which resides in the drinking water and which solved immense trouble faced by village people. Following this, he developed the method of worshipping the mountain instead of Indra. This angered Indra and made the village people suffer from non-stop rain/floods, and all the crops were destroyed. This trouble was brought to Krishna’s notice, and he solved it by his power.

Meanwhile, Kansa was worried about all the miracles of Krishna and decided to invite him and trap him in his plan. But inviting him leads to his end.

All three books are quite amazing, and it’s good to know about our tradition.

This is the third and final part in the Krishna trilogy of the book "Amma, Tell Me How Krishna Defeated Kansa!" It continues with the life of little Krishna, and in this part, we are taken to Vrindavan, where Krishna is now young and handsome. He mesmerizes the Gopis with his enchanting flute tune.

In this part, we learn about the Krishna Leela with Kalia Nag, how he defeated the evil many-headed snake and saved the lake. It also narrates the story of the Govardhan Parvat, when Indra lost his temper and decided to punish the villagers by sending rain and thunder their way. Krishna lifted the Govardhan Parvat on his little finger and gave shelter to the whole village. And lastly, it tells us how he defeated the evil Kansa and freed his parents, Devki and Vasudev, along with his grandfather Ugrasena, and how he crowned his grandfather as the rightful king of Mathura.

The stories are narrated in simple language, explaining the significance of the festivals in a child-friendly way. They help children learn and understand our culture and religion.

The illustrations are rich and colourful, making it easy for children to imagine the scenes.

It is a wonderful blend of cultural learning and storytelling. Perfect for parents to read aloud to their kids at bedtime, this book also makes a thoughtful gift for the little ones in your home.

You know how some stories aren’t just read, they’re felt? That’s exactly how Part 3 of the Krishna series by Bhakti Mathur was for me. It didn’t feel like reading a book; it felt like stepping right back into the magical lanes of Vrindavan, reliving those stories we’ve grown up hearing.

In this part of the series, Krishna is no longer the tiny baby in a cradle he’s now the mischievous, playful boy we all secretly adore. From stealing butter with his friends to the iconic moment of dancing on Kaliya Naag, every chapter is packed with that sense of divine wonder mixed with childhood nostalgia.

The part that really stayed with me was when Krishna lifts the Govardhan Parvatha on just his little finger. It’s a beautiful reminder that strength doesn’t always have to be loud sometimes it shows up quietly, even playfully, and still leaves a lasting impact.

Bhakti Mathur’s writing is so simple, lyrical, and filled with warmth. And when paired with the vibrant illustrations, the whole book becomes more than just a story… it becomes a doorway into Vrindavan itself.

Honestly, whether you’re reading it for your kids or just for yourself, it’s a heartwarming experience. Perfect if you want to smile, remember those Janmashtami tales from your childhood, and get lost in Krishna’s magic all over again.

"Amma, Tell Me" is an adorable series by Bhakti Mathur that paints vivid pictures of Hindu festivals for children. "Amma, Tell Me How Krishna Defeated Kansa!" is the third book of the Krishna trilogy. This book is written in poetry form in a storytelling way.

In the third part, Kiki and Klaka once again sit for another storytelling session by their Amma. To protect their children from Kansa's evil eye, Yashoda and Nand Raj moved to Vrindavan—a serene, beautiful village. Amma describes how Krishna becomes the light of everyone's life. Playful and mischievous little Krishna strolled around Vrindavan, and his melodious flute enchanted the villagers every time they heard it. This book also portrays the divine Govardhan Giri incident, in which Krishna lifts up the enormous Govardhan Giri on his little finger for seven days, providing safe shelter to the villagers from the relentless rain. Thereafter, it depicts how Kansa invites his own end by trying to trap Krishna in his conspiracy. Finally, Krishna defeats evil Kansa and restores peace and harmony to our Dharti.

This book is short and engaging, making it a quick and fun read for kids. The language is simple, and the illustrations are so vibrant and picturesque. This series is an excellent choice for introducing kids to the culture and traditions of Hinduism.

But Krishna was always and each and every time victorious.

Having already read the first two books of the Krishna Trilogy to my cousin brother, who absolutely adores Bhakti Mathur’s works, I couldn’t resist getting the third book to complete the journey with him.

𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧:
Like its predecessors, this book shines with vibrant illustrations and thoughtful design. The dominant use of golden and yellow hues perfectly reflects the divine vibes of the book and enhances the storytelling.

𝐎𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧:
✓ This concluding part of Bhakti Mathur’s Krishna Trilogy narrates Krishna’s later life, focusing on his victory over Kansa.
✓ The book beautifully brings alive the tales of Kaliya Naag and Govardhan Parvat, blending engaging narration with rich illustrations.
✓ Beginning with a verse from the Bhagavad Gita, it immediately sets a spiritual tone and elevates the reading experience.
✓ I especially loved how the words like “prophecy” and “tyrant" helped boost vocabulary of the children in an accessible way.
✓ If you’re considering this, I’d strongly recommend reading the trilogy in its entirety. It’s a wholesome, immersive experience that makes Indian Epic both enjoyable and meaningful for kids.

This is the third book in the Krishna Trilogy.

In the first book, we read about Krishna's birth, and in the second book, how Krishna defeated Kansa's demons.

Now Krishna has become a handsome young man, and he loves to play his flute, mesmerizing people and making the gopis dance with joy for hours without rest. In this book, the author tells about how Krishna fought with Kaliya Naag and how Krishna made a change in people by the worship of Govardhan Hill.

When all the demons were defeated by Krishna and Krishna's popularity reached Kansa, Kansa decided to invite Krishna to Mathura and planned to kill him there. Krishna went to Mathura with his foster brother Balaram. Krishna faced challenges and reached Kansa, and between Krishna and Kansa, there was a great fight in which Krishna defeated Kansa, leading to Kansa's death. After that, Krishna freed his parents and grandfather and crowned Ugrasena as the King of Mathura.

No matter how many times I read Krishna's stories, they never seem old or boring, and I always have the urge to read them again. The illustrations in this book are beautiful, and reading it gives me nostalgia. This series has become my favorite, and I am going to read all the books by this author. This book is good for children; they can read and learn many stories.

I highly recommend this book for children's reading.

In this last book of the Krishna Trilogy, Amma finally decides to tell "How Krishna Defeated Kansa."

Just like the previous books, the author first sets the atmosphere by sharing how the characters are cozying up with each other and ready to lose themselves in the captivating tale of Krishna's life. But the author did not jump directly to Krishna and Kansa's face-to-face fight; she continues the journey of Krishna without failing to mention all the incidents that happened prior to the last fight.

In this book, we meet Krishna as a young, handsome boy, being loved by everyone in Vrindavan. Amma tells us how Krishna defeated Kaliya, the many-headed snake, and how Krishna shows Indra his arrogance and makes him learn his lessons. And finally we reached the final battles of Krishna in Mathura.

Just like the previous books of the series, the author did not let any important incidents be omitted from the whole. A very simple and engaging way the author tells the story of Krishna that anyone can enjoy, regardless of age.

Lastly, the illustrations are as good as previous ones; the fighting scenes and the color of the pictures are so beautifully done that you will be captivated by them. And if you are thinking of gifting these books to your child or anyone, you definitely should; these are worth keeping.

Amma, Tell Me How Krishna Defeated Kansa is the third and final book in the Krishna Trilogy, and it feels like the grand culmination of Krishna’s adventures.
In this story, siblings Klaka and Kiki listen to their Amma narrate some of the most powerful episodes of Krishna’s life, his battle with the giant serpent Kaliya, the awe-inspiring moment when he lifts Govardhan mountain on his little finger to protect the villagers, and finally, his fateful fight with the evil King Kansa.
I really liked this book as Bhakti Mathur skilfully captures Krishna’s journey from a mischievous, playful child to a brave young hero who embraces his destiny.
The storytelling is simple and fun, making it easy for kids to follow, while still carrying deeper lessons about courage, goodness, and standing up for what’s right.
The vibrant illustrations are a delight on every page, almost making the story come alive. They bring to life the beauty of Vrindavan, the warmth of Yashoda and Nand Baba, and the thrilling battles with demons.
What I loved most is that the book isn’t just an adventure—it’s an experience. Reading it felt joyful, inspiring, and perfect for sharing as a bedtime story. It’s a wonderful way to introduce children to Krishna’s tales and the timeless message of good triumphing over evil. A must-read for children and a beautiful gift for kids!

Some stories are not just read, they are relived.
That’s exactly what Part 3 of the Krishna series felt like for me.

This book takes us straight back to the magical lanes of Vrindavan, where Krishna is no longer a tiny baby but the natkhat balak we all secretly adore. From stealing butter with his friends , to dancing on the mighty Kaliya Naag every page feels like a burst of childhood nostalgia wrapped in divine wonder.

The part that gave me goosebumps. Krishna lifting the entire Govardhan Parvat on his little finger a moment that reminds us that even playfulness can carry immense strength. And of course, the story moves towards its destined climax Krishna’s epic victory over Kansa, a tale we’ve all heard countless times but still feels fresh in Bhakti Mathur’s storytelling.

Her words are like a soft lullaby of devotion simple, lyrical, and filled with color. Paired with the illustrations, it’s not just a book, it’s a doorway into Vrindavan itself.

This isn’t just mythology retold. It’s Krishna’s laughter, mischief, courage, and divinity captured in pages that both children and grown-ups will cherish.

Must-read if you want to smile, remember your childhood Janmashtami tales, and lose yourself in Krishna’s magic again.

Amma Tell Me How Krishna Defeated Kansa! is the third and last book in Bhakti Mathur's Krishna trilogy. As before, Klaka and Kiki join their Amma while she reads out the exciting adventures of Krishna—dancing on the hood of the serpent Kaliya, picking up the great hill Govardhan on his little finger, and eventually conquering the wicked king Kansa. In easy rhymes and full of beautiful pictures, this is a book that makes mythology seem enchanting and enjoyable for children.

Honestly speaking, this book was so much fun to read. I liked how it followed the cozy storytelling mode of the first two books but in this one, the story gets bigger and more dramatic. The scene where Krishna is lifting Govardhan Parvat is simply breathtaking, and the pictures really make you stop and appreciate every detail. I also appreciated how the book didn't only portray Krishna as strong and courageous, but also playful and loved so much by the people around him. You feel like you're sitting next to Amma yourself, listening to a story before bed. It's exciting for children, but as an adult I was thoroughly enchanted as well.

This book makes the ideal conclusion to the trilogy—lively, thrilling, and moving. A read for children and a delightful revisit to Krishna's myths for grown-ups!

'Amma Tell me how Krishna defeated Kansa' by Bhakti Mathur is the final part of the Krishna trilogy. This part begins with the tale of the Kaliya snake. The fight between Krishna and Kaliya is quite a prominent one. The author put it in simple words for the children to understand. It's an action packed scene for the young readers. The story next shifts to how Krishna protected the whole village by lifting the Govardhan mountain on his fingertip. When Indra understood that the young lad is none other than an avatar of Vishnu, he apologized to him.

The last part of the story mainly focuses on Kansa's final attempt to kill Krishna. He invited him over, Balaram accompanied him. But first he attacked them with his huge pet elephant, Kulavapidiya. He became so angry and sent his wrestlers to fight the brothers- but they met their faith and got defeated by the hands of Krishna and Balaram. Krishna's attack on Kansa was the most exciting part to read. After defeating Kansa, Krishna rescued his parents and gave them the life they deserved.

This trilogy is a great read for any child out there. It will make them familiar with these famous tales, and they also will inculcate a habit of reading.

The trilogy finale delivers on its promise: a confident Krishna faces down destiny, protecting Vrindavan, humbling pride, and ultimately liberating Mathura from Kansa’s terror in a climax that feels both grand and child-accessible. The author threads together beloved episodes—the dance upon serpent Kaliya, the lifting of Govardhan to shelter villagers from Indra’s storm, and the decisive showdown in Mathura—into a smooth, rhyming narrative that never rushes the emotional beats.

For young readers, the set pieces are unforgettable: Krishna’s bare-foot poise atop Kaliya coils like a moving painting, while Govardhan-lifting turns disaster into a village-wide cuddle under a mountain—an image that lingers long after reading. By the time Kansa tries every trick—elephants, wrestlers, traps—the emotional logic is clear: malice exhausts itself, while dharma has stamina; the victory feels earned, not just inevitable.

The language stays simple and musical, inviting repeat reads and offering natural entry points for conversations about courage, humility, and leadership that even early graders can grasp. The visuals and verse that make complex theology feel like a warm, shared storytime tradition.
