A Crack in the Shell

Rate this book
Shell is innocent, which is how she justifies a brutal, bloody escape from Southern Oak Clinic for the Criminally Insane. She discovers a cabin in the woods during her escape attempt, only to find that its inhabitant is far more evil than anything she's left behind her.

Warren is a sociopath. He enjoys playing with his food, which is why the idea of a woman who has nowhere to go is incredibly appealing.

But Shell has her own deadly secrets. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss...

A Crack in the Shell is a dark romance following Warren Wilson, a serial killer and assassin for hire, and Shell, the fugitive patient of an asylum for the criminally insane. It's dark, gritty, and chock full of triggers. READ WITH DISCRETION.

This book was amazing! When I thought I could predict what would happen next the author said “think again”. I definitely went on a roller coaster ride with this one but loved it

Listen - the trigger warnings are a lot. It’s a heavy story, w a very heavy list of triggers.

But the storyline? Wow. It is so well written. It’s dark, gruesome and very detailed. But wow, the twists, the turns.
