Craig Revel Horwood is an Australian-British dancer, choreographer and theatre director in the United Kingdom. He is a patron of the National Osteoporosis Society. He is best known as a judge on the BBC dancing show Strictly Come Dancing. He published his autobiography in 2008.
This was an honest and open autobiography. I felt that I got to know Craig really well. You can never be sure with a celebrity can you? I’ve enjoyed watching ‘Strictly’ for years and have even been lucky enough to recently win tickets for the live show. In this book, Craig comes across as a really nice person and not affected by his fame at all. He is supposedly getting married next year in Rutland(where I live). I look forward to reading his third autobiography.
A reasonably interesting read but mainly about the people he's comes into contact with since his first book 'All Balls and Glitters'. Rather too much detail about his up and down lovelife. Preferred his first book.
This book is absolutely brilliant biography continued by Craig Revel Horwood. I now have read 3 of the books and they show that he is so down to earth.
I actually read the updated version of this. It's a very easy read, if average but then it is meant to appeal to all sorts of people who watch the show. It's quite good and Craig shares stories from the shows and also gives his opinion. For me, the aspects of his personal life are interesting and he clearly is committed to what he does. However, I don't like him talking about his bedroom activities. For me, this aspect of every individual's life is private and should remain so. I understand ,however, that some people like to read about but I find this unnecessary. Can't score it more than 4. However if you want to learn about Strictly Come Dancing, it is a good book to get through quickly.
I've never been a Strictly fan, but I have seen the odd episode so I know CRH's reputation as a harsh critic. This book shows the fun side to Horwood and it was an easy read. I never realised he did so much work related to Strictly off-screen, alongside pantos and even learning to conduct an orchestra, and to scuba-dive. The book is pretty much what you would expect - like gossiping over a cup of tea with the author.
I enjoyed reading this book and following up with Craig's career and personal life. Lovely to read about strictly and here a few behind the scenes things.
I actually read the revised & updated version. Easy, light read & found myself reading it hearing Craig’s voice! Interested now to read other works by Craig.
A good read for fans of Strictly Come Dancing with backstage gossip from the last 3 or 4 years prior to 2013. Also gives an insight into what Craig gets up to between TV shows.
A quick light hearted read for anyone who is obsessed with Strictly Come Dancing. Gives some backstage secrets and the truths behind some of the tabloid tales.
