This series was pretty repetitious. Some in plot, a lot in text and dialogue. Felt as if I was reading the same hero, over and over. Saying the same things, same inner conflicts, same mannerisms... just the same. I wish the heroines were the saving graces but they tend to try to be more independent and in turn more stubborn. Just annoying and not fun to read. (Especially Mykala!! Really? She's a dress maker. Not the next Bond girl.) Hot bits were repetitious and just plain weird! Felt like she was waxing poetic but then she throws in cheesy dialogue and crude words. Frankly, I'd rather have the crude words. They ARE silent, deadly mercenary types!! Just didn't make sense that they're suppose to be harden males but then TEASE and talk more than the chicks during sex. "You're so sweet like honey" "You have the softest skin. So Soft and sweet" blah blah blah. Geez, just do it already. And the names! There were characters upon characters. It was hard enough trying to keep them straight but she kept adding more and then she gives the heroes cringe worthy code names.
The series might have been a more enjoyable read but I felt a lot of it were needless and excessive. Skipped through a lot of pages.
This series is a spin off from the Navy Seals series. Each book was unique from the last. All had plenty of suspense and action. A ton of emotion and that signature Lora Leigh sex.
