We have not been raised to cultivate a sense of Mystery. [...] But Mystery does not require action; Mystery requires our attention. Mystery requires that we listen and become open. Those pages—the whole book, actually—felt curiously relevant to my frame of mind the past few weeks. In fact the way the book came to me is a bit of a Mystery itself involving three events, each improbable on its own, coinciding within just a few days of each other. I welcome whatever forces brought me the book; it was a timely gift.
