Mr. Krabs adds a drive thru to the Krusty Krab. He tells Spongebob not to touch the headset because Spongebob is a cook and he is needed at the grill. Then Spongebob is left to clean and close up. Patrick drops in and convinces Spongebob to touch the headset... and that's when he hears a customer at the window. He decides to "do his duty" and start serving food. Patrick is helping...by eating the orders as they come out. The eels on wheels convention is in town and they get impatient waiting on food. They start chanting for their Krabby patties which wakes up Mr. Krabs. Spongebob apologizes (over the top) but Mr. Krabs calls him a genius. Mr. Krabs "lets" Spongebob work the grill and the window.
Good reader for lower grades. ~4 lines of text per page with art consistent to the tv show. Art on every page.... illustrations match the text well. My only regret is that the art is greyscale and not full color in the e-book. It makes sense to print physical copies in black and white, and while I know it costs money to color all the illustrations, it would have been super cute.
Another great SpongeBob chapter book. This story was about the Krusty Krab getting a drive thru. It was a fun story with all the fun craziness that you would expect from the characters when the Krusty Krab opens a drive thru. If not already, this story could be a SpongeBob episode. I read the kindle version to my daughter but I would definitely recommend getting an actual copy of this book to read if possible. The kindle version does not lay out well. Some of the words are meant to be on the same pages as the pictures and are not and pictures that are supposed to go side by side because the picture overlaps both pages, ends up being on separate pages split by the words that are supposed to be on that page. The words of the story are intact and able to be read but it’s hard to enjoy the pictures that go along with the story in the kindle format.
I’m obsessed with SpongeBob and have always been a huge fan! I was really excited to find out that there were books I could borrow on the Libby app so I downloaded 10 immediately lol. I did find a couple mistakes in the writing as if there wasn’t an editor and it just was slapped together quickly but besides that I enjoyed the short time it took to read this! So nostalgic and humorous!
on this episode of things I found on Libby... Rating this 3 stars simply because I am a Spongebob purist and the original drive thru episode lives rent free in my mind 24/7. I really liked the art though. Since I read this on Kindle, I'm not sure if it was supposed to be in color, but even in black and white it was super cute
