“Darkness swept through my vision as my short lived life passed before my eyes. His face was the last thing I saw before I succumbed to my destiny. It’s funny how life can change its direction in the blink of an eye. What had once brought me strength has now made me weak and it was no one’s fault but my own. I did this and unfortunately he would now be the one to suffer for it. I could feel my heart breaking into a million pieces all over again and the feeling made me want to die.”

At eighteen years old Bennett had finally realized what her feelings for Gray meant. Through all the loss and love that they had been through with each other nothing was going to tear them apart, except maybe time. She was willing to fight for her new found love of this boy she had always known. But forces beyond their control were willing to do whatever it took to do just that.

With Gray heading off to the police academy and her headed to college things were bound to change. Time apart, temptation, lies and loss would test the strength of the relationship they thought would outlast anything.

Five years later Bennett and Gray will be faced with a reality neither one of them ever thought possible. It’s up to Gray to save Bennett from a force so strong it will test his strength, love and undying devotion he swore to her all those years ago.

They both learn that life isn’t always fair and the things you desire most in life can come at a costly price.

I am not a fan of YA stories but more so I am not a fan of the female lead in this one. She threw too many hissy fits and pity parties and she didn't talk, she screamed constantly - she just made my teeth grind. Add the abusive relationship she put up this story was a massive no.

I'm glad I read this book. I almost didn't after some of the reviews, but I actually loved it. Could use some editing, but I don't normally let that bother me too much. I really liked Gray and Bennet, spent the whole time wishing they would work out. Raylon was just creepy from the begining, I hated him. Looking forward to the next book.

I am not going to lie writing reviews is not my strong suit but I did this as a favor to one of my sweet friends and this author Amanda Bennett needed to know how much I enjoyed this story so here it goes...

This story is about 2 childhood friends who have been through everything imaginable together, always have had each other's backs no matter what life threw at them. Gray & Bennett's feelings start to deepen for each other more with each passing year. Both Gray and Bennett tend to ignore it or hide from it instead of facing it headfirst. There were times where I wanted to Scream or Slap em' both upside their heads to see if some sense would get knocked into these two. Gray and Bennett made things quite difficult at times for one another when it needn't be. They both spend more time hurting or running away from the other than loving each other like there's no tomorrow. Gray & Bennett both know from personal experience life is too short so they should Embrace their love and live life to the fullest.
Even though there were times I felt their anguish or got teary-eyed I just couldn't help myself from turning the page to see if these two Heartbroken Soulmates would get it right. Gray & Bennett have been through life's wringer in more ways than one. I Wanted Gray & Bennett to put their stubbornness aside. I Needed them to get their Happiness they so Truly Deserved.
Now I can't help but Want/Need the sequel so that I may find out if Gray & Bennett can have their Happily Ever After!!!

*Spoilers**Continue with caution*
Honestly, I’m not sure about my personal opinion on this book. I feel like the cover was more attractive and appealing than the book itself. I give this book 3 stars.
I just feel like this book had so much potential. The storyline was creative and interesting but I just wanted more from it. More emotion, more detail, more character development. It was just lacking. Beautifully Broken seemed rushed and it was like the author was just trying to get to the moral of the story. Its a beautiful book but it was just lacking details to me. It was definitely a quick read and that I didn’t mind.
I liked the chemistry between Bennett and Gray. I thought they would make the cutest couple since they grew  up together. After they graduated, we as readers knew that they were already going to “break up”. It felt implied leading up to the event. The one thing I never saw coming was the fact that Raylon, a paramedic, was soooo abusive and aggressive. I was hoping more for his character, but I suppose the book needed a villain.
I shouldn’t say that I wouldn’t recommend this book to someone. Yet, if I were to ever pass it onto another booklover, it’d have to be the right person. I have tons of respect for the book and I enjoyed reading it. I just wished for more.
Beautifully Broken is book 1 in The Broken Series by Amanda Bennett. I won’t go out looking for book 2, but if it ever ended up in my hands, I wouldn’t mind giving it a shot.

Gray and Bennett have been friends since they were kids, growing up together their bond only strengthened their friendship is like no other, it's solid, deep, meaningful. They have been through a lot together. He might be her best friend but Bennett is female and knows Gray is HOT, it doesn't go unnoticed by the female population at school.

With graduation around he corner it suddenly hits Bennett that she no longer will have her best friend by her side, she is off to college and he is off to the police academy. The friendship between Gray and Bennett takes a step in another direction but Bennett knows nothing can happen between them now, as much as it hurts her she starts to push Gray away before he leaves. It hurts to much to say goodbye.

When Bennett crashing into a brick wall, he leaves Bennett speechless. Only one other make has had this effect on her, she was smitten with him. Who is this mystery man.
Bennett and Hannah are at a college party all thanks to Hannah's sister when Bennett crashes into the brick wall she crashed into at school. This mysterious man is Raylon.

Being away from each other is hard, when Bennett makes a decision that she thinks is best for their relationship she couldn't have been more wrong. This one decision rips them apart and and left her guilt ridden, this guilt she carries around makes her believe she deserves ever hand she is dealt in life, most of all she feels as though she no longer deserves Gray...

I don't know where all the good ratings are coming from, this book wasn't good! It was actually borderline bad. The storyline was very choppy with time jumping and the writing lacked flow. The main characters, both, were not very developed and also not very likable. You call only do so many stupid decisions over and over again. And those are adults we are talking about. Anyway don't be swayed by the good ratings this has major problems.

I skimmed/skipped half of this book and still got the message. It was not my thing and I really wish authors (even self-publishing ones) would stop and edit their goddamned books, or at least do a last grammar/typo check.

I really enjoyed this book, it was full of love and despair.

The plot was extremely captivating and it took me less than two hours to finish it, i couldn't stop!

The characters are deep and troubled, and during the story we get to travel their difficult lives with them.
