C.H. was born in Aiken, South Carolina, but her parents moved back to northern New Jersey where she grew up. She believes in fate, destiny, and love at first sight. Her characters rarely follow the synopsis she outlines for them…but C.H. has learned to listen to her characters! Her heroes will always have a few of her husband’s best qualities: his honesty, his integrity, his compassion for those in need, and his killer broad shoulders. C.H. writes about the things she loves most: Family, her Irish and English Ancestry, Baking, and Gardening.
C.H. is currently spending time in Regency England, writing for Dragonblade Publishing. Book four in her new series, The Lords of Vice, is in her editor’s hands. It's been a long while since I have read a great western. These stories are everything I want in a wonderful tale. The characters were definitely worth my time... And yours!
All the stories were awesome. With the last book to the it up in a bow. All the characters in the town can be found in this day and time. Enjoy reading.
This review is overdue - I finished this set of books about two weeks ago at least. Sorry not to have posted this before, I just realized I hadn't done so.
If you enjoy western romances, this set is a bargain. I liked it immensely. I was interested from the very beginning of the first book until I finished reading the last one. The author did a great job with each book - making them an individual story, but having that "connection" between each one. Each story flowed into the next, and yet had it's own tale to tell. The characters were all interesting, and believable. I loved them all. There was some humor, some history, a little suspense and a lot of romance.
I enjoyed book one but found the time line a bit difficult to follow in places. The proposal scene was highly entertaining.
I didn't enjoy book two as much as book one. The time line is fuzzy in this one, too; scenes appear in rapid succession but lengthy time lapses are later disclosed as having occurred between them... that starts to annoy me when it happens with increasing regularity.
Books three and four were much like book two in their style and plot line. Book four nearly measured up to book one with a very entertaining lead female character.
