This was a sad and difficult book to read especially coming on the heels of the death of my 27 year old nephew. I only know the grief of losing my grandmother, sister, parents and aunts and uncles. This is a loss I can't comprehend. The main theme of the book is finding courage. My thoughts go to those who have lost a child and knowing someone who is dealing with that right now breaks my heart. I am at a loss for words of comfort. All I can do is pray for comfort and peace for those who are going through this loss and the loss of other loved ones. May you find peace and comfort today.

This book is the heartbreaking story of Charles and Janet Morris after they lost their son to a drug overdose. It is an unbelievable read and their courage and faith is a true inspiration.

Below follows a powerful thought as shared by Janet:
"Life has a way of spinning us in tighter and tighter circles around unimportant things, orbiting around the all-consuming things that don't really matter. It' very hard looking after our own little universe, trying to pull good things in, struggling to keep everything in its place. A violent breaking up of our world can get us orbiting around Christ instead of ourselves."

I would recommend this read, whether you have children or not as it reminds me once again of the powerful love of Jesus for those who hold on to him.
