365 first-person devotionals, written by women for women, from the editors of Daily Guideposts, America’s favorite devotional for more than 35 years. Here are specially-chosen devotional entries for each day of the year from such Daily Guideposts favorites as Debbie Macomber, Sue Monk Kidd, Marion Bond West and Sharon Ewell Foster. With warmth, honesty and even a bit of humor, these reflections look at all the aspects of a woman’s life— at work, at home, married or on her own, as a daugher, mother or grandmother—through the eyes of faith. Each devotional contains a short Scripture, a true, first-person anecdote, told in an informal, conversational style, that shares the ways God speaks to women in the ordinary events of life, and a brief prayer to focus the reader’s own prayers and put the day’s message to work in her own life.
Guideposts is a Christian ministry sharing stories and experiences that inspire your walk with God and spread His comfort to others.
For more than 80 years, Guideposts has helped people discover the hope that only God provides. What began as a single magazine founded by Dr. Norman Vincent Peale and Ruth Stafford Peale in 1945 has grown into a ministry that meets people wherever they are with encouragement and prayer.
Through books, products, programs and more, we annually help 6.5 million people find strength in Christ and comfort in connection. Our long history of outreach partnership has made us a vital source of inspiration for veterans, caregivers, people in recovery, and more. We have a bold vision to reach 17 million people (5% of the U.S. population) by 2031. Together with our customers, outreach partners, and donors, we can make a positive change in the world— one story, one prayer, one life at a time.
Finished this one this morning. On the whole, a book of welcome reminders. Occasionally, things get a wee bit too...evangelical? for me, but on the whole it did the trick.
I enjoyed the short reading every day. Some days reached me more than others, depending on my circumstances. Sometimes the message felt shallow but that could be that I didn’t take the time to contemplate it enough to find the core. This would be a good book to gift to a new Christian or even a not yet Christian.
I am so glad I found this book. It has been an amazing assist to my mornings. I have a list of books that I read from each day. This one is on the top of my list and today I must buy the new one. I can’t go one day without reading this book. Happy new year and blessings to come
Nothing too deep or too complicated. Just a short thought to begin the day. Not the best devotional I've ever read, but worth reading in addition to other things.
This devotional for women is a wonderful gift. The story's, the life lived through the stories and The Bible comes through so clearly in such a diverse way it makes you want to be joyful everyday that the Lord has given you!
I got a lot of Spiritual guidance, & scripture out of this Devotional for 2022. It was a good one to use for my bedtime reading. It wasn't to long, but a lot of guidance.
This devotional was thought-provoking and inspiring. It made you stop and think about your life and how it could be better and how you could give more of yourself or find time for yourself!
Thank you for this compilation. I looked forward to starting each and every day reading these inspirational stories! They helped me through some rough patches through the year! Happy New Year!
I've always loved my Guideposts daily devotionals and this one was great too. However, I did miss the pictures of the authors; I always like reading their bios and seeing their pictures as many seem like old friends after reading their devotionals for years.
"Daily Guideposts: 365 Spirit-lifting Devotions for Women" 🌟🌟🌟
Genre: Christian devotional for women
This is the classic Daily Guideposts story telling style. Features analogies from famous authors, ministers and other public figures. Sweet and relatable but it didn't impact my daily life.
