My mental health has been terrible lately so my friend got me some animal ark books to cheer me up as I was totally incapable of concentrating on any books 📚 honestly Mandy Hope is an icon and what a great gift. Would recommend to any adult needing a well-crafted, joyously predictable and impressively written book for seven year olds.

I didn’t think this was the best book, but the messages were good, and for a travel book it was decent. Kids getting to see a different breed of cat featured is always good.

When I first started this series when I was a child, I really loved the books. Going back, I see how I've changed with my taste in literature. This book wasn't bad; it was just okay. A child reading it would love it, especially if they have a fondness for animals. It wasn't bland, but just didn't appeal to me. Would I recommend this book to someone, yes. This writer is good, but it's just not quite my taste anymore.

In this book, Mandy and James go to Jersey with Mandy's parents, who are substituting for the vets in Jersey. They meet a cat at the shop next door to the clinic. Mandy is sure that the cat should enter the contest. She might even win! But her owner might need a little bit of persuading to let her enter.

I thought that this book was really good because, as I love animals, I learned a lot and I thought the storyline was really good too. I recommend this book to all animal and cat lovers.
