Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) is increasingly used in therapeutic practice. It encourages clients to process experience without judgement as it arises, helping them to change their relationship with challenging thoughts and feelings, and accept that, even though difficult things may happen, it is possible to work with these in new ways. This book provides a basis for understanding the key theoretical and practical features of MBCT. Focusing on a mindfulness-based cognitive therapy programme that is offered in a group context to those who are vulnerable to depressive relapses, the text is divided into 30 distinctive features that characterise the approach. Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Distinctive Features provides a concise, straightforward summary for professionals and trainees in the field. Its easy-to-use format will appeal to both experienced practitioners and newcomers with an interest in MBCT.

Lise Baltzer om: Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy. Distinctive Features
Denne fine lille bog tilbyder et godt overblik over MBCT-kursusprogrammet.
An excellent survey of the MBCT course. The intended audience is CBT therapists, but it's a good introduction for anyone who want to know, clearly and in detail what is entailed, but not at great length. As a practitioner myself, who has been taught by Rebecca Crane, the material wasn't new, but it is well expressed and a useful reference point. She combines her clarity with sensitivity and an awareness of where clarity alone no longer helps.
A succinct and comprehensive breakdown of the theory and delivery of the MBCT programme. It helped me gain a quick and detailed overview of what MBCT is and its aims, which enabled me to better formulate criticisms of it, from the perspective of contemplative practice. http://tinyurl.com/pj6gz88
