An honest and real re-telling of the adolescent blindly trying to understand the world, the people in it, our own place in it and ourselves whilst still trying to make as few insane, idiotic decisions as possible. This coming-of-age tale spliced with a tumultuous romance is told for young adults by a young adult. Though young readers particularly will love this book because it illustrates the problems, emotions and decisions taken directly out of their own world, others outside this demographic will enjoy this book because, though we may age, we perpetually long for the same things we search for as love and acceptance.

I absolutely loved this book. All the best parts of a romance, coming-of-age, and a high school saga. I felt like I knew everything that Amy (helps that it was me ^.^) and Jack were feeling. And of course it helped that Jack was super hot. Wish he'd been at my high school!!
My gf got really into this book and told me I had to read it. I honestly wasn't expecting much, I've never read indie books, but this one was really good, especially for a highschool YA setting. I'm probly a little old for this book, but it definitely reminded me of what HS was really like. It was a HS story with actual people not just the "jock" or the "stoner" or (thank god) the "goth." Not just the "hate the world, smoke a cigarette" YA goth depiction, which was refreshing.
I really liked this book when I read it a few years ago. It was an easy read, but a tad cheesy at times. I don't believe I will read it again, but I have fond memories of it.
So I read this back in high school, and boy howdy it was an awakening for me. reading about an outcast group in a high school making their own family if you will really worked with me. it was well paced, and a good read in my mind. I had bought it on an e-reader, and enjoyed it so much that I bought a physical copy to love and mark up, so that maybe someday I can pass it on to another freak kids who needs a different outlook.
