Former Navy SEAL and government gun for hire Mac Walker is caught in the deadly Somali desert bleeding from a gunshot wound as his intended killer seeks him out to finish the job. Shooting Mac Walker is one thing. Killing him is another...
D.W. Ulsterman offers fans of the bestselling Mac Walker series a glimpse into the world of Mac Walker as he carries out another death delivering assignment, combining action, suspense, and just a bit of humor that is the hallmark of D.W. Ulsterman's work.
This was an enjoyable look into the world of Mac Walker. Could have been a chapter in a longer novel. I am trying to catch up on all the Mac adventures and when the 3 short stories were offered free I jumped at the chance. Mac Walker is one tough character, in my mind he would look like a 38 yr old Chuck Norris and kicks butt about the same way. For action lovers.
Short stories are very easy to write, but very hard to write extremely well. Mr. Ulsterman has proven that, not only can he write a bang up novel, he has mastered the art of the short story. From the exposition to resolution, this story grabs, then holds your attention and makes you want to know more about Mac Walker. I highly recommend this short story, as well as Ulsterman's Bennington P.I. series and the other Mac Walker books.
Short book as an introduction to Mac Walker series. Does not really give to much detail, just a short mission, as Walker escapes from a successful kill, after also being shot. Quick read and will give the first full novel in the series a go.
