This was a fantastic read. Each chapter is one of the 37 vows, along with an explanation and understanding of cultivating the Bodhisattva path. Clear, well written, joyful, wise, and sometimes funny, it was a great introduction into the 37 vows.

The meditation on emptiness section is really difficult, and warrants reading more than once to understand. The author notes that this is the case though. Chapter 12 'Transforming unfavourable circumstances' is Lojong, and is much more accessible and easy to apply to your practice. On a whole, worth reading to gain more understanding of the Mahayana path.
