Lovely book, good for on the go. A clear display of pictures and properties. Doesn't have hardness of the stones. Smart checklist for collectors and helpful size.

A very specific and information-rich guide to crystals. Each crystal is described in four aspects, the description is brief but very accurate. The great strength of this book is that there are accurate descriptions of variations of the same crystal. Usually, we get a description of crystal and information about variations, but in this book, we get a specific description. For example, there are 22 different agate crystals with unique description to all of them. The information is helpful and to the point. A very valuable addition to my bookshelf about crystals.

Again another three star review. It’s an ok read. More a reference book. But one you will keep going back to.

short description of the stones, could be more information to it. in general good for a quick check up if you have and are experienced in healing crystals.

As a geologist, and not any kind of New Age practitioner, I use this book to translate between the "scientific" and "common" names of crystals ("feldspar" versus "moonstone," for example) and as a reference for minerals that are common in rock shops, but extremely uncommon in most rocks in most places (e.g. gaspeite).

This is a great little reference books, complete with pictures of each of the 430 stones and a brief reference of the properties. Small, but covers a lot. Think breadth not depth.
