During a covert operation in Singapore, Chayton Black finds himself the object of attack from a most unlikely source: a hotel maid named Penelope who will do anything to free herself from his unexpected presence. A test of wills ensues and when the truth comes out about Penelope's past, Chayton makes a startling offer to help free her from the unwanted advances of a man she clearly fears. What he doesn't expect is the fire and chemistry they generate between them, making a complicated mess of their lives.
Kate Fairchild, full of secrets and subterfuge, is on the run from Anton Bertini, the man who insists on dragging her into a marriage she doesn't want. Blindsided by Chayton's extraordinary offer of help, she does the unthinkable and accepts. When Anton closes in, threatening Chayton's life, Kate makes a sacrifice of her own.
Unfortunately, the sacrifice comes too little, too late, and she jeopardizes the trust of a man she's grown to love.

This was my favorite book in the Royal Elite series so far. Although the premise is a bit unbelievable, Chayton and Kate are my favorite couple in this series so far. In many ways, I think they are the most similar to Sander and Chey. Their relationship developed naturally, if fast, and I thought their characters had the greatest potential for development in the future. I would love for another book to revisit this couple!
A small warning: Chayton's book seemed to be the "raciest" of the first three books in the Royal Elite series. While not nearly to the degree of many popular romance series, I was a little bit surprised by some of the scenes. It did not stop me from truly enjoying this book, however!
This was by far the worst Danielle Bourdon that I have read so far. I just can't believe that someone as well-connected, resourceful and intelligent as Chayton would jump into a marriage of convenience with no thought to the consequences - whether financial or personal - just to solve someone else's problem. I mean really was there no other way to get around the issue? Brute Force? Pretend dating? Something a little less dramatic and severe?? The plot just felt like clutching at straws and the constant repetition of the lack of trust between the leads was just frustrating.
Love this book....love the whole series. I fell in love with these characters in the Latvala Royals Series and was so happy that they continued into the Royal Elite Series. This story was very touching with Chayton using his instincts to trust Kate with so much in his life when he volunteered to help her. Poor Kate had to deal with so much in this story and it was wonderful to see Chayton support her. Sweet story that shows that people can feel a connection after one meeting and their love can grow from there.
I love love love the Royal Elite series! I fell in love with the author, the storylines, and the characters in Sander's and Chey's story and now it continues with the Elites. I enjoyed Chayton's character because he's not just another rich, pretty boy playboy like the others. He's more reserved and a little softer. Kate is likable and down to earth. Their chemistry is great. Of course, there's plenty of drama too.
First let me just say that the name Chayton does nothing for me. I even looked up the phonetic spelling to see if I was saying it right hoping I was wrong. The name took me out of the story a bit but I still liked it and everything I have to say about the book may be considered a spoiler…so I will refrain.
Man, this series really does get better and better with each book I read. Chayton and Kate are great together, I glad after everything the went through they were able to find a way to be happy. Can't wait to read the next book, and I hope to read more about these two characters.
Absolutely fantastic story. You cant help but fall in love with Cheyton and Kate, their story is unpredictable and full of twists and turns. This is a must read. Fabulous series. Cant wait for book 4.
