I love the wisdom books of the old testament. The author explores the frequently overlooked resources of wisdom literature. I really enjoyed her treatment of Job which I have always struggled with. This is a book to be read more than once.

Solid introduction to the Wisdom Literature of the Old Testament (and deuterocanonical texts). Although it does not focus deeply on the "spirituality" of the Wisdom Literature (it is in a series that purports this concept), it does focus on the theological nature of the included texts.

This was an easy read. I won't know how good it is until I take my "Wisdom in the OT" class this fall, to see how it compares.
