Rate this book
Books Four, Five, and Six of the Sarah Roberts Series in One Collection.

The Hostage (Sarah Roberts Book Four)

Meet Elmore Ackerman. He idolizes Sarah Roberts from afar, and has done so for more than five years. He has studied her pictures, memorized her news clippings and now waits in the dark for the day when he can make Sarah his hostage.

A steel cage waits for Sarah, where Elmore has practiced what he will do to her. The other girls he has practiced with now lay discarded, buried about his property. He keeps their fingernails and toenails to roll between his teeth, to savor their strength, to feel the nails weaken and give in, just as his victims do.

Elmore has a plan for Sarah, and she walks right into his trap. Sarah Roberts is his hostage and no one knows where they are. In Sarah Roberts Book Four, The Hostage, Sarah is in a fight not just for her freedom, but also her life.

The Victim (Sarah Roberts Book Five)

In Book Five, Sarah Roberts is The Victim.

Sarah is killed in a horrible car accident, the DNA found in the car verified as hers. But the government men at the Sophia Project have faked her death to keep her to themselves.

After her funeral, she shows up in the food court of a busy mall where a violent exchange takes place. Things go wrong fast. The people protecting Sarah die within seconds from a mysterious drug. She runs, escaping the clutches of the police who want to figure out her connection to the murderers. A group of men called The Rapturites surface to take responsibility for the carnage. They want Sarah raptured as the end times are upon us.

As the police hunt her, and the Rapturites get close, people she loves, old friends who have helped her in the past, start to die around her. Vivian, her sister, watches. Vivian listens. Sarah executes.

In Sarah Roberts Book Five, Sarah is The Victim, and there's nothing she can do about it. Except she won't stay dead.

The Enigma (Sarah Roberts Book Six)

In Book Six, The Enigma, Sarah Roberts heads to Las Vegas, Nevada.

Her dead sister has left her a message with two tasks to complete in Vegas. She is supposed to choose a random guy with a cell phone and send a message to a number her sister has supplied. Before she can complete this first task, she notices a man following her. This man begs her, with tears in his eyes, to not send the text.

On the west side of Vegas, a man is being tortured. Sarah's second task is to arrive at a certain time to stop it. When she shows up late, people start to die. The man who had followed her also shows up. With people dead at the warehouse, the police want to know what she's doing in Vegas and why she was there.

All Sarah wants is to get her bike and leave Las Vegas. But Maxwell Ramsey has a different plan for Sarah. She has entered his territory and intervened in his business. She has cost him money and time as he plans the acquisition of a local casino. For that, Sarah has to be removed.

What she doesn't expect are the deep ties to her family and what that means to her now, and in the future.

In Book Six, The Enigma, Sarah Roberts is in Vegas gambling with her life and can only make it out alive if she plays her cards right.

Must read series!! Captivating & thrilling.

I finished all three books in about 3 and half days. I’ve gotten so wrapped up in Sarah’s story it’s hard to put it down. Now I need to get book 6 and start another. Each an every book we learn more about Sarah and her family & friends some which didn’t start as friends. I was so sad to loose Bellamy, Rosalie, and even Rod; but the hardest was Dolan and Esmerelda. I loved that she met Aaron and hope to see them together again, for her to get to keep and enjoy love. I also loved she met a new family member she didn’t know that shares her same gift and they saved each others lives several times. I found myself on the edge of my seat so many times, wanting to know what was next and if Sarah and her group would survive. There are so many challenges and triumphs throughout, and each time you see both the dark and light at play. This series is absolutely amazing and I can’t recommend it enough! There are also some messages to be received as well... Every story it came down to trusting guidance, letting go of fear, facing uncertainty and overwhelm with trust. No matter the situation finding hope, helping others, holding on to the people that love and support you, and being your true self. Accepting help from unlikely and unknown sources. There were also elements of not taking time for self care, always doing for others, and times of exhaustion because of that- and that those people who support and love you come to help and join in your mission. Discovering that previous experiences and struggles don’t define you but they did help make you who you are, and the lessons that come with them help you grow and evolve. There’s also an element of discernment and being able to see the snake in the grass- ie learning to recognize when someone is deceiving you and not really there to help you but to go against you in some way. It’s learning to trust your instincts but also to look at things from every angle and see the different perspectives and motives. It’s also about giving people new and old a chance and paying attention to what you see, hear, and feel.
If you’ve never read any of these books they are a must read to me! Something ironic is a reference to Swan Song made and I just finished that book prior to starting these. I’m definitely a fan of Jonas Saul, he is a captivating author that never disappoints. I plan to continue the journey with Sarah as well as starting some of his other books. I am absolutely loving this series!

I doubt I'll ever get tired of reading 'The Sarah Roberts Series'. Each book takes us on quite an adventure. The story lines in each of the books have Sarah beating the odds.

I absolutely loved 'The Hostage'.. Jonas Saul has yet to let me down. This book was an amazing read. Sarah and her adventures are a great series of events. Well written. This story was awesome. The characters were great, and some you hate. I have loved every book in this series so far. Highly recommended.
'The Victim' pulled me in from the first page.I love the 'Sarah Roberts Series'. This book had once again proved to be a great novel. The story is amazing. The thrills and suspense kept me wanting to read every page. I could not put it down. The characters are great, as usual. The story is well thought out. Well written. I look forward to reading more of this series. As always, Jonas Saul has created a work of art with his novels. A definite must read. Recommended

'The Enigma' pulled me in from the start, as was the case with books one through five as well. The storyline was different from the usual Sarah Roberts books, but in a good way. I loved the twist with Russell. He was cryptic, mysterious and quite helpful. Sarah is still just as bad-ass as ever. I love her say-it-how-it-is attitude. I can't wait to read more of this series. A definite must read.

Awesome as always

I have read many Jonas Saul Books but the Sarah Robert's series has really kept me coming back for more and more. I admire the way each book is written so that it can be stand alone or read in the sequence of the series. Not realizing this was a series, I read the first two books out of order, but it didn't really matter because nothing too much was given away in one book to ruin another. Very well done!

this book was ridiculous. I'm not even going to read 5 & 6 included in the package. From the admission of Rod Howley's reasons for chasing her, to the 'love' found with Drake, to the complete disregard of Canadian laws, to the on and off switch her sister plays whether she will communicate or not makes it obvious the author has run out of story with this character. Thank goodness this was a short book so it didn't waste a lot of my time.

Likable series, but tried to read them all one after the other without a break for something different, so by the last one, I was tired of the characters. I'll know better next time. Well written series.
