Book Two of Two in the Destined Series
I was asked to read this series for an honest review, and I have to tell you I am really glad I did. I love these two books. Accepting Destiny is the second and final book in the Destined series and picks up right where the first book, Running From Destiny, ended.
Christa has created two wonderful characters in Ally Sanders and Jackson Bentley. Ally was a happy AA for the CFO of an interior design firm in Atlanta before she met Jackson, a handsome, strong, rich and powerful man who began pursuing her while on a trip to Florida with her best friend.
The first book was all about the beginning of their relationship, and Ally's fears and insecurities. You see Ally believes herself to be fat and cannot understand why a man like Jackson could ever be attracted to her. She is not really fat, but she is a bit more curvier than what some consider to be ideal. At one point Jackson tells her that she is the same size as Marilyn Monroe, and that he loves her curves, but she has a very hard time accepting that.
The book is told from Ally's perspective, and listening in to her thoughts is often times hilarious and fascinating. Ally has an interesting point of view and I just fell in love with her.
Jackson is a strong man with a heart of gold. Devastatingly handsome, and hot as hell in bed, he takes Ally's body to places she never even knew existed. But he is not a kinky BDSM freak, nor does he have horrible dark secrets to be discovered. He is just a normal rich handsome guy who really knows his way around Ally's body.
This final book in the series is all about coming to terms with their relationship. There is much drama and intrigue along the way that I won't spoil for anyone, but suffice it to say that they come through the drama closer than ever before.
I loved these two books, and Accepting Destiny is the perfect ending to the series, but you really need to read Running From Destiny first or this book won't make much sense to you.
I highly recommend this series to anyone who wants a steamy read, but who also likes a little drama and humor mixed in with the romance.
