It's only a matter of time before she attracts the wrong kind of men. When she agrees to seduce one noble's cousin to steal his family fortune, she finds herself witness to mob violence and worse.

Yet she likes her men rough, doesn't she?

But quickly it gets out of hand, even for her. When he forces her to fulfill his sick needs, and then blackmails her to kill his cousin, she realizes her life hangs in the balance between the affairs of murderous men.

I was the lucky winner of "The Vixen Torn" and also received "The Vixen Arises" through a Goodreads giveaway! Thank you so much Goodreads AND especially J.E and M. Keep.
Vixen is a true description of the lead female character Anjasa who is also an elf. Anjasa basically moves from town to town. She is extremely beautiful and has been trained in ways to please men.
((Note: I've read that there are earlier books that tells the background story of Anjasa and her time in slavery, which I'm excited to read in the future.))
The story begins....
She meets up with a gentleman in a local pub named Loren. He is sad and drinking yet attractive and draws her attention. He began to drink because his father has rewritten his will which now states that all his fortune will be given to someone other than his only son, Loran. Enticed, Anjasa sets out to bring down the man who is to inherit the fortune and who also knows of the change in the will. She doesn't help anyone out of the kindness of her heart, only if there is something to be gained for her.
Her plan back fires though, as she meets the man who is to inherit all the riches, Zarach. Even though he doesn't live in the better part of town that Loren does, he still shows that he has gained his own wealth through other means. However, her womanly gifts of enticement do not work so thoroughly as time goes on with Zarach as it did Loran. Zarach has a dark side that slowly comes out until someone who she thinks is in his employ, gives her hope.

I really loved this book and can't wait to get started on "The Vixen Arise"

I've never read a really, really 'dark' erotic novel before. I mean, I've read a lot of 'billionare/BDSM/sex slave type books but not one with paranormal elements or where one of the 'couple' are treated worthlessly. Usually, the couple enjoy the sex play and, even if one is spanked or hit, it's because they enjoy it and there's a safe word for if things go too far. In this novel, the heroine, Anjasa, is an elf. She's been trained to serve any Master as a sex slave. Now free, she wanders looking for someone who is her match in every way, not just sexually. Unfortunately, she's addicted to sex and, when giving into her baser needs, finds herself in some dire predicaments. One evening, while in a tavern, she finds she's run out of money and looks for someone who she can seduce into buying her a drink. Spying a young, handsome man who appears sad over his ale, she approaches him and soon has him buying a bottle of good wine while pouring out his story. Seeing that he's easy to manipulate, Anjasa decides to 'help' the young man, while having her needs taken care of, as well. Her penchant for finding herself in trouble continues, though, as she encounters a cruel, pale man with red eyes who is the source of her young man's troubles. Darkly erotic, mysterious and very intriguing, you won't want to put this one down.

Anjasa's life has never been perfect. Nor has it been easy. Granted, she doesn't want it to be either, but she does wish that things could fall into place for her just once. She's had to make do with the simplicities of life, but she can't help yearn for something better on occasion. She's tired of her meaningless existence, always having to resort to unconventional methods just to make ends meet. Granted, she's good at whatever she puts her mind to, but just once she wants someone else to take care of her in ways she's never imagined.

When an unexpected request lands in her lap, Anjasa can't help but to wonder if it'll lead to something worthwhile. She knows things won't always work to her advantage, but she's willing to give things a shot, nonetheless. Determined to make good on what's been asked of her, she sets off on an adventure that will definitely make her question the world as she knows it. Nevertheless, she'll do her best to come out on top.

As things spiral out of control, Anjasa soon comes to the realization that nothing will ever be the way she always thought they were. There are things that go bump in the night, and things that were always considered to be legends are definitely true. Still, if she can manipulate the system, she knows she'll be able to gain ground in achieving her every goal. That thought alone drives her in making things possible for herself and those who seek her services. Services that may or may not prove to be her own undoing in the long run.

A titillating read, The Vixen Torn immerses us in a world full of fantasies, vampires, elves, and more. Anjasa is a nice departure from the usual characters most of us find in erotic romances. Granted, this is fantasy, but it's my first time reading the plights of an elf who enjoys a good time as well as getting her own in the process. This is the start of an erotically intriguing series. Onwards to book two!

I strongly recommend a good cooling off after reading this book.
Anjasa a penniless Elven woman who is a trained assassin and former sex slave (this could possibly be far fetched had this not been a paranormal, anything goes kind of book, but believe me it works) spots Loren, a down on his luck Nobleman at a run down bar in Normevor. After spending a passionate night with Loren, she discovers that his cousin won the right to become Lord upon the death of his father. Anjasa believing that she will be rewarded for her services, agrees to help Loren win back his right to the title.
The cousin Zarach is not who he first appears to be and Anjasa must decide whether to protect her own life or the life of another, all the while having Zarachs's exotic, masked, leather wearing henchman watch her every move.
This is a paranormal read in so much as there are mythical elements such as Elvens, but other than the fact we're told Anjasa is an Elf, it isn't clear as to what her distinguishable features are that identify her as such. Both Loren and Zarach know immediately what she is, so I assume there something about her that sets her apart from humans.
It is also unclear as to what time period this novel takes place, however it really didn't detract from my enjoyment of the story and if anything I was able to let my imagination free.
As for the main character of this book, Anjasa is quite possibly the hottest female protagonist I've ever come across in a book, with large pert breasts and womanly curves and tanned, smooth skin, she has a killer body that is made to seduce and pleasure men. The sex scenes are at times very graphic and brutal and certainly not of the hearts and flowers variety.
This book was very short and most definitely not sweet, but there was just something about it that had me glued to the pages from start to finish.

Received from: J.E. & M. Keep (in exchange for an honest review)
Tour by: Read Between the Lines

Anjasa has been trained as a courtesan in the elven lands, but now she lives in the world of humans. She is no longer a sex-slave, but she is now living day to day for substance and shelter. In a bar, she meets a young noble, Sir Loren Faro, and she believes she may have found security for herself. First, she will need to help him to secure his inheritance. This leads her to his cousin, Zarach. She will have to choose between the cousins and who to assist in their bid for inheritance.

This was a hot, steamy, short read. Though a short read, it did not feel rushed. The plot and characters are well-developed. I did feel that there was a missing prologue regarding Anjasa, or perhaps a prequel that I haven’t yet found. J.E. and M have an extensive list of stories listed on their website at http://jmkeep.com/category/books/. I intend to read more from this talented couple.

Book provided in exchange for honest review.

I was excited to read this because it sounds like it's going to be an entertaining read, but for me, it missed the mark; probably because I had no idea there were previous Anjasa stories that told all about her background. Throughout this book there were times that mentioned her past and the experiences she lived through, but since I hadn't read them, I felt a disconnect to this installment.

Maybe in the previous books Anjasa was a kick-ass assassin, but in this book I saw none of that come into play. I would think that if one were an assassin, they wouldn't have a problem taking someone out permanently, especially someone they've known for a day and have no loyalty to, yet that wasn't the case in this book. There was plenty of sex (which I don't have a problem with), but I wasn't that impressed with the fact that this story appears to take place over a 2-3 day time period and yet Anjasa managed to get it in with 3 different men in that little bit of time.

The overall story wasn't hard to follow, but again, if you haven't read the earlier Anjasa stories, the references to her past won't really be clear.

Admittedly, I went into this book with some preconceived notions and expectations. Those being decent writing, little story, and some fun smut.

What I got was more story than I expected, giving a bit more plot than is typical. The plot follows bad-boy (like, REALLY bad-boy) lover, Anjasa, as she saunters though the underworld of aseemingly modern fantasy setting. What I enjoyed most was the setting didn't feel dated. This elf maiden felt like she'd be as comfortable with a pair of curved daggers on her belt as she would be with a silenced pistol holstered on her thigh.

The characters were varied and interesting to me. Some seemed stereotypical, until more core portions of the plot unfolded. The writing kept me hooked and looking for more, even though I felt the length of this story was perfect.

The erotic scenes were definitely fun to read. Not too vanilla, not too rough.

All in all, I enjoyed this book and would heartily suggest it to folks that like fantasy erotica.

Anjasa is an elf assassin and sex slave. She discoveries herself out of money and when looking for a way to pay for a drink she finds nobleman named Loren mopping in at the bar. Instead of just a simple task of getting money to pay for her drink, she gets caught up in an adventure she never planned for. She uses her seductive abilities to stay alive while relying on a dark secretive stranger.
I found this book interesting and a little strange. I usually don’t like erotica so I would never pick this book up on my own, but when I read Elf I stuck out. I didn’t connect to any character but it was interesting at the beginning how Anjasa was using Loren and he turned out to be very different then the easy target.

Anjasa an elven assassin & sex slave. That alone is enough to peak your interest to read this book. You won't be sorry!
As usual, these authors do not disappoint and once again entertain us with great characters, great sex and great writing!
In this book Anjasa meets Loren, a human noble, in a bar and the hot fun begins.
I loved this book from the first word to the very last. The author has become an automatic buy and if you have not read J.E. & M Keep you must immediately. You will not be disappointed and will be left feeling satisfied. Thank you for yet another amazing story which will not be forgotten.

A very quick and enchanting read for sure. I enjoyed all the sex scenes but sometimes wished that all of their sexual parts weren't referred to in twenty ways in a paragraph. The mix of historical and urban together seem to somewhat clash but it worked in a good way. I wish the world they were in was more explained, and while developed I wished our main character's history was fleshed out beside a few dropped hints here and there. Overall it was a pretty good book. I'd definitely go back and read it again, and I will be picking up more from these authors.

Torn and Seduced is a fast-paced, steamy read. In essence, it's a short dungeons and dragons style adventure with sex included. It was a fun read that many libraries will be unable to stock due to pressure from a vocal minority of library users. I look forward to additional items from these authors.

From needing a drink to becoming a sex slave in basically 2 days is not something she wanted, but what she got. Someone is there to help her and she never knew it until after she thought it was too late. Then things got even better. What a hot story and wonderful read. Yes, she was basically a slut, but it how she survived. And good things come to those who wait, right?

Torn and Seduced by J.E. Keep

I respect the process on this one and the plot had some good points, but it never pulled me into the characters. It is more x rated than I prefer in my romance and fantasy, so that pulled away from the story line. I received a kindle copy of this one from the author at some point, so it was full of editing errors that may or may not be in the final copy (although mine does say final draft). It did read quickly, just a couple hours, but I won't need to read more in this series.

Anjasa was an Elven assassin and courtesan who is now out of a job and out of money. I don't know how awesome she used to be before this novella but in this story she simply wants another drink and some bad boy sexy time. I am all for rough sex and Dom/sub relationships but this is not what happens here. My main issue with this book wasn't that Anjasa wanted sex with the three different men, I don't give a rat's ass about that - you get it girl! No, my issue is that Anjasa is obviously a strong female character (at least I assume that considering she was an assassin...) and she allowed these three men to manipulate, demean and use her. There were little to no benefits to any of the situations for Anjasa, maybe an orgasm here or there. But I'm sorry, you cannot convince me that a previous assassin is now willing to do anything for some douche bag men. Either Anjasa is a strong woman who used to kill people for a living or she is much more needy and reliant on sex/men. For the sake of the plot I could see why Anjasa needed to be drawn further into the weird world of the three men but I can't see the bad ass lady I was picturing in my mind take all of the shit that was handed out.

description

I just want to smack my head on a desk to rid myself of such horrible male characters with not a single ounce of kindness toward Anjasa and SHE'S THE MAIN CHARACTER, DAMMIT! This book seemed to be about all of the guys and Anjasa was just the unfortunate piggy in the middle. In fact she was so irrelevant that they could have just written the story from the three male perspectives. Maybe I'm just off on a girl power rant but I don't think I am wrong. I wish I could have seen the sassy assassin who peeked out a few times because that was why I wanted to read this book. Unfortunately, I got an overload on dickhead testosterone and a shallow female character... The sex scenes are probably it's shining glory so give it a read if you want and maybe you will have a different view.

I received this book from the author and from Paranormal Romance and Authors That Rock.
The Vixen Torn or Torn and Seduced is a short steamy read. Anjasa is an elvish assassin and sex slave. She finds herself out of money and when looking for a way to pay for a drink she comes across nobleman Loren. Instead of just a simple task of getting money to pay for her drink, she gets caught up in an adventure she never planned for. She uses her seductive abilities to stay alive while relaying on a dark mysterious stranger.
I liked the fact that the book had mythical creatures like elves and vampires. I have a feeling there is more of a backstory and I would have liked to known it. I would have liked to see more of what her past was like and more background on the world the book is set in. The book spent a little too much time focused on sex when it could have been richer with more of a story. Anjasa was like a succubus in my opinion the way she lusted and craved the cruel sex.
I did like Jarel's dark and mysterious character. I wanted to know more about him.
This book is for mature audiences and for fans looking for a quick, hot, erotic, and crude sex
story.
I would give this book three fangs.

***I enjoyed this one and give it 3.5 stars***
I was asked by the authors to review this one and it started a little slow for me but did pick up and it was a really good story. Anjasa has lived through hell and doesn't plan on going back. She is at a human bar when she realizes she is out of money. She spots Loren across the bar and figures she can get him to buy her a drink and have a fun night too. While loren is drinking his sorrows away, he has lost his inherents. he begins to tell Anjasa about why he lost it and she decided to help him get it back from his cousin. The cousin is not what she expected and others are not either. This story has urban fantasy and erotica in it. If you are interested in one or the other but not both genres, then this one is not for you. But if you like both those genres, then take an afternoon to read this one, you will enjoy it. I have others from J.E. and M. Keep and looking forward to reading more from them.

This is just the beginning for this thrill seeking elven woman. Anjasa is a bored sexy elven woman looking for some excitement in all the wrong places. In this urban fantasy erotic thriller Anjasa drifts from one situation with one man or another. She starts out trying to help a young human lord who is down on his luck and winds up in serious trouble only to be rescued by an even more potentially dark inhuman man.

This book has plenty of plot the sex is steamy but I really did not feel there was much character development. Anjasa just seemed to float through the plot. Loren started and ended the story a depressed young human lord to be. We shall see where this story goes in book 2.

This book ends at a point in the story that if you decided not to read the next I do not think you will be out anything but if your like me you will want to see what kind of trouble Anjasa will find next.

I received this book from a BDSM and EE group holiday contest and this is my honest review.

J.E Keep and his beautiful wife has opened the doors to an exciting sexual fantasy world. Each character so vivid in detail. You can not resist falling deep inside such a seductive story. An original world where you are introduced to desirable elves, dark romantic vampires, bad boys and normal lustful humans all interacting in a world that seems like everyday life to them. The story lures you into this wonderful paranormal romance that will burn your fingers if you can not turn the pages fast enough! THe pull from "Torn and Seduced" is so strong that you can not put it down. It will draw you in! It will engage you and entice you.

Oh my, Anjasa

If you like to escape reality and fall head first in a world of seductive vampires and an elven assassin & sex slave then come on and jump in.

Thank you again for such a remarkable story!

I was provided copy by the author for a review. 3.5 stars. The book was well written and the plot was easy to follow. I liked the fact that you think you know who the male lead character is but then he is not. I had little difficulty with Anjasa's character. I am big fan of strong female leads so I was having a little difficulty connecting with Anajasa's character. Though what I liked about her character was that the writer portraying that a lead female character does not always have to be a taint less vanilla virgin. You get a little glimpse of her past now and then and you know she has been through a lot and is more sly, smart, and stronger than she appears. More review on the next book "The Vixen Arises".

Enchanting and Amazing

This is book 1 in an amazing and absorbing trilogy. Loren, a human nobleman, having lost his inheritance to his cousin Zarach, asks Anjasa’s for help. Unfortunately, Anjasa is demeaned and becomes embroiled in intrigue and sadistic violence at the hands of Zarach. To Anjasa’s rescue comes Jaral, a vampire who has sired Zarach, but subsequently kills him because he has become a dangerous liability. There is an attraction between Anjasa and Jaral that is undeniable and this forms the basis of their future relationship; pride, shame and fear were now in Anjasa’s past. I really loved this story and would not hesitate to recommend it. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This is not the cover I have and I do not like it as much as the Kindle version that I have. This one is far to sweet for the character.

This was an interesting book that had a little bit of mystery, some steamy scenes, and a wide range of characters. I just wish it had more paranormal aspects in it. Anjasa was an elf and besides her saying it and referring to others as humans I didn't get a paranormal vibe from the book until it was almost over. And even then it was still hint of it. I did enjoy the book though and all the different plot twist that keep me guessing just how this was going to end. I also think that it was set up really good for another book to follow.

I hadn't read any reviews of the book before hand, so didn't really know what to expect going in. It was much more graphic than I was used to and felt like the plot was barely there. It kept me interested and I liked the little teases about Anjasa's history and the world at large.

Unfortunately there were fairly consistent spelling and grammar errors through this version, which was annoying. Gave it a bit of an unpolished feel.

While it wasn't a bad book, it's not the type I normally like to read so I won't be reading the rest in the series. If you like a lot of (graphic) sex and risque/taboo themes, then you'd love this book

Loved it! This was my first experience with these authors and it was a great one! It's sort of a grungy paranormal fantasy with an erotic twinge. The main character isn't heroic in the traditional sense. In fact, she could be viewed as extremely flawed. And she knows it. But we also get a glimpse of her light side, just enough to keep her from being a caricature. It makes her real, complete, and relatable. Even if you don't directly relate to her personality or circumstances, she still draws you in.

This book surprised me in a good way. I'm looking forward to reading more!

A very erotic read. Definitely not for the faint of hearts. Anjasa is a feisty elf who is addicted to sex. She is willing to bargain others lives for danger. I like her a lot. The characters are dark but intriguing as heck. A good fast read. The rest of the trilogy is a must as well. Life for Anjasa is full and certainly not boring.
