Alvin: Come on, we are The Chipmunks! What do we do best?

My favorite 9 year old cousin is one of the kids that totally adore those cute sold-out hamsters. From the TV series to big screen, even the other collectable items. So when I saw this book along with the Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked - Castaway Critters I bought it as my Christmas gift to him. And he just LOVE the books, especially this one.
So Ill just rate it as what he think the book is for him. though if you ask me its just silly but absolutely harmless. Dont get me wrong, I like Alvin, Simon and Theodore in the first movie and other TV series. It just when rha, rha all the way to the Squeakquel.

The book says this is based off of the third movie, which I've actually never seen. It's a pretty standard love interest miscommunication story.

I like the pics of all the Chipmunk couples at the beginning & end (same pics, repeated). Awww! Can Theodore & Eleanor be any cuter?...! And Simon & Jeanette look so sweet! Then Alvin & Brittany actually look like they like each other & make a cute couple! (To think that at some point in the book, Alvin says, "Who says I like anybody?") I can just see Dave taking their pics, going, "Come on, Alvin & Brittany, act like you like each other..." Then Alvin (almost reluctantly at first) putting an arm around Brittany & holding her hand, like, "Aw, Dave, do we have to?" But then he turns to wink & whisper to Brittany, "As soon as Dave leaves, we turn on the *real* romance."

Great Valentine book

Nice easy to read book. Young children will learn about how nice it is to give friends cards a gifts on Valentine's day
