3 if only it weren't for that ending stars
She could try to hold out as long as she wanted, but he knew her. He knew the passion that bubbled just under the surface and he was going to fin it again, stoke it and shatter her control once and for all.
She was always in control, always took the dominant role in every aspect of her life - from her caree to her relationships. In one night, Kevin had stripped that identity from her.
Well...hell. This had all the ingredients for a solid 4 star read for me, and then the last 5% happened. I finished the book with a feeling of 'what the hell?'
And that brought my rating down quite severely.
The book started out strong. Having read Tie Me Down and finding the story to be completely overshadowed by all the sex, I was happy that the mixture was a bit better here. While the sex scenes were frequent, they didn't quite overwhelm the story like it did in Tie Me Down.
The strongest aspect of Full Exposure was the suspense. I really enjoyed getting a look into the bad guy's head. The pace of the story was great and the sex scenes were highly erotic and hot as hell. The mystery behind the stalker had me guessing until the very end.
Kevin was a sexy and broodish dirty talker. Unfortunately, his endearments got to be a bit much for me halfway in. I love me a sexy Cajun, but it was a bit overdone here. I am also not a big fan of insta-love in books. A big reason being, it just doesn't sell me. I have a problem believing that a man that has been almost a recluse, getting over a relationship where a woman used him for his status and connections, falls in love with a woman he barely knows in just a few short days. I also found his character's development lacking. While we get a lenghty and thorough background on Serena, aside from his past relationship going bad there was not much else about Kevin.
Serena is who I struggled with the most. As much as I wanted to feel for her, especially with what she has been through, I couldn't connect with her at all. While I understand her aversion to relationship and commitment, she was almost TOO much so. Her constant push and pull with Kevin drove me up the freaking wall. Then in the last 5% I was pretty sure I've never wanted to hit a fictional character more.
I'm sorry but no. Just no. That was too much. Maybe in the 15 or even 10% mark. But to have ALL that drama in the last 3-4% of the book. It wasn't necessary. It just felt thrown in for extra drama, and it did NOT work.
Even given all that, I still could have rated the book something between 3.5 and 4 stars. But then the convoluted ending just got worse.
It all just felt extremely anticlimactic. Maybe if so much attention wasn't given to it, it wouldn't have been the same. As it was, it pretty much killed it for me.

Hmmm, what to say, what to say...? I think I may be suffering from erotic romance overload, but I hope I can give this book a fair review anyway. This book was actually a pretty hot erotic romantic suspense, and I loved the hero of the book, although to be honest, the heroine tried my patience a few times. High marks should be given to the wonderful hero who put up with all the heroine's quirks and neuroses--I'm not sure I would've had the patience to hang in there like he did.
Serena Macafee is an up-and-coming photographer with a traumatic past. Because of her horrific past, she likes sex with no strings attached, no emotions given. She doesn't really 'do' relationships. Her current assignment is to photograph successful sculptor Kevin Riley at work at his Louisiana bayou studio. With his long black hair, heavily muscled 6'5" Greek-god body, intense blue eyes on his fallen angel's face, sexy Cajun accent, and his "fabulous a**", Hostess Twinkie-lovin' Kevin is a living breathing fantasy come to life. Serena sure would like to explore the intense attraction she has for this man. But there's one problem. Kevin doesn't seem to know that Serena's alive.
Not true. Kevin is well aware of Serena. In fact, he's noticed everything about her, from her pixie cut blonde hair to her serious brown eyes, to her curvy body and long legs. He's even noticed how she buttons her oxford shirts to right under her chin, which drives him absolutely crazy. But while lusting for Serena, he can't help but remember another artist-type woman like her who used him and abused him--his former girlfriend. Which makes Kevin a little gun-shy.
So, these two wary people have the hots for each other, but it doesn't take long before that attraction explodes into a very hot, intense affair. There's steamy encounter after steamy encounter. Kevin finds himself falling hard for Serena. But Serena, she's not sure what she feels. Kevin makes her feel and she doesn't want to feel. It's not safe for her to feel something for someone. She remembers all too well what happened to her twin sister when she let herself give all of herself to someone she loved. So Serena doesn't like how vulnerable Kevin makes her feel. But she finds herself needing him, wanting him with a passion that surprises her. She knows that she's messed up emotionally, with feelings of guilt about what happened to her sister, and thinks it would be best for Kevin if she just ended the affair, and let him get on with his life. But she's having a hard time giving him up.
Kevin knows that Serena is having trouble commiting to him totally, and he knows about her tragic past, and he's willing to give her time. If only she would trust him. But Serena is used to being on her own and relying on no one but herself. And when her past comes back to haunt her and she has a stalker after her, she tells no one. Not Kevin, nor the police. But when her stalker increases his threats, it's time for Serena to face her past once and for all, and allow someone to be there for her. Will facing her past and the threats to her life allow her to accept a future with Kevin?
Serena frustrated me big time! First of all, she has a stalker threatening her life and she does nothing. I realize that she doesn't trust the police because of what happened to her sister (to say more would be a spoiler), but come on--do something. Hire a private investigator, tells someone, anyone...take it seriously! It's not going to go away. Let someone help you. She's finally forced to tell Kevin because some threats on her life happen right in front of him. I'm not so sure she would have told him otherwise. Also, this girl needed a therapist big time. She knows she's messed up emotionally because of what happened to her sister (and her) but she shuts herself off from her past, just hoping to forget. It just doesn't work that way. So yeah, her attitude of 'I'm going to brave it alone' aggravated me sometimes.
On the other hand, Kevin was so sweet, so loving, and way too patient with her sometimes. He fell hard and fast for her, and those sexy Cajun-accented French endearments he whispered to her..."bebe, cher, mon amour, mon coeur, Je t'aime..."--all swoon worthy. Why didn't Serena just tie him up and never let him get away? I kept wanting her to say "I love you too!"
Anyway, the author did a pretty nice job with the suspense aspect of the book. She tossed out a handful of possible suspects, and had me guessing for a bit, but I was pretty sure I knew who the psycho stalker was. The resolution of that plotline was pretty chilling, and I thought for sure after that harrowing episode that Serena would realize that she never wanted to be without Kevin and she would do anything to have a life with him. But true to form, Serena was her old stubborn self, and it took an eleventh hour revelation to get her on the right track. If I was Kevin, I'm not so sure I would totally believe in her. I'm guessing that there may be a few rocky times in their future.
To sum up, if you like hot, pretty explicit, romantic suspense, with a sexy to-die-for hero, a troubled, sometimes aggravating but mostly likable heroine, then this book is for you. I'm curious to see what else this author can come up with, and I'll certainly check out any future books. This was mostly a steamy, enjoyable read--4 stars!

Photographer Serena Macafee is on a hot assignment - not only because photographing Kevin Riley for an upcoming book abut his art could launch her career, but also because the artist she's capturing in the lens of her camera is hotter than the Louisiana bayou he lives in.
One stormy night in the swamps of Louisiana changes everything between the pair - a huge storm sweeps in , the power goes out, and their emotional walls come crumbling down. As the heat escalates between the two artists in the bayou, tragic pasts will reveal their undeniable influence, and a mysterious stalker begins to weave their way into the forefront of their minds.
A few thoughts:
This was a fun, fast-paced ride. The sizzling sex scenes were well balanced with the storyline and suspense - not your standard "sex on every page" kind of erotica. My only complaint: what was going on with

4 ½ stars – Romantic Suspense/Erotica
Well written, explosive sex scenes, an eerie and disturbing psychotic stalker plot, passionate characters, and the steamy Louisiana bayou setting combine to make “Full Exposure” an intensely erotic and chilling romantic suspense read.
Serena Macafee is a photographer working in Baton Rouge, who’s on a two week assignment in the sultry swamps of the Louisiana bayou to shoot images of renowned, ascetic sculptor Kevin Riley for a book compilation. The chemistry between Serena and Kevin is electric from the start, and a power outage during a storm makes it impossible for them to deny the combustible attraction and lust that’s burning strong between them.
Complications arise because of the heroine’s struggle to overcome harrowing events from her past that continue to control her physically, mentally, and emotionally. Serena’s determined to keep an emotional distance from Kevin and to keep their “relationship” strictly sexual. Despite being burned in his past relationships and being leery of opening himself up and trusting another woman, Kevin falls fast and hard for Serena and resolves to make her his in every way possible. The hero has some alpha tendencies and moments of dominating and stubborn behavior, but overall he’s extremely tender, patient, sensitive, nurturing, and loving with Serena; and she honestly doesn’t give Kevin much in return besides hot sex. The hero’s tenacity in trying to win Serena’s heart was almost painful to endure, and although I empathized with the heroine’s struggle to heal from her tragic past, there were times that I wanted to hit her over the head with a common sense stick, especially when she blatantly ignores disturbing threats from a potential stalker. The hero and heroine are both emotional recluses in their own way, and although Kevin overcomes his initial wariness in trusting others and opens himself up enough to love Serena, I felt like she was in need of some serious therapy in order to truly heal from her traumatic past and to function in a healthy relationship with him in return. Still, I got wrapped up in the H/H and found myself rooting for them to find their HEA.
There’s a demented stalker after Serena that makes for some pretty frightening moments, and the author maintains the element of suspense and surprise while throwing out a few potential suspects. When the psycho stalker’s identity is finally revealed, it’s startling and believable. The sex scenes are explicit, blistering hot, very well written, and extremely sensual. Overall, “Full Exposure” is a lushly erotic, gripping romantic suspense thriller worthy of 4.5 stars...almost 5 stars!

Pretty good book...very hot and steamy, but it was a book that I thought had the potential to be even better. A little more development in an area or two and this book would have really stood out. But it was still pretty good as it was.
Full Exposure is about Serena Macafee, a photographer with a tragic past. Eleven years earlier, her twin sister was raped and murdered and Serena herself barely survived. Since that time she has basically shut down, put up walls and never let herself trust anymore. And she never let go of the guilt that she hadn't been able to save her sister. Now she is on a photographic assignment to take photos of sculptor Kevin Riley for a book. Right from the start there is an explosive chemistry between the two and they can't hold the passion at bay for long.
Trouble is brewing for Serena, though, as someone is stalking her, calling her with obscene messages, leaving "gifts" for her and possibly almost killing her. Serena doesn't see the point of going to the cops because of what happened with her sister's case so she keeps the events to herself. When Kevin finds out, he nearly goes through the roof. It's just further illustrates to him that though he's fallen in love with her, she still doesn't fully trust him. Serena will have to finally put the past behind her - and avoid death once again - if she hopes to have a future with Kevin.
The first thing I can think to say about this book is whew! Steamy and super hot! There are many sex scenes in this book. Too many? That's a good question. It's borderline. I don't think the book would have suffered if a couple of the scenes had been cut out or even just shortened. Then a little more time could have been spent on some areas I thought the book could have been improved. Or the book could have just been longer, leaving in all the sex, and add pages to include some of the stuff that needed work. In general, though, there was really only a moment of two where I thought "oh great, they're having sex yet again."
But hey, Kevin was super sexy and that whole Cajun thing? *sigh*
Serena, the heroine, is a total head-case. That girl has some serious issues. I kinda felt sorry for Kevin that he had to put up with them. This is the area where I thought the book could have been better. There needed to be more time spent on the emotional journey of the heroine. Serena has a lot to work through and I felt like her emotional growth was a bit stunted. It annoyed me that at the end of the book she changes in the blink of an eye. The antagonist's identity seemed a little obvious to me, but I didn't mind. Overall, I enjoyed this aspect of the story. It added some variety and broke up all the sex ;)

Full Exposure is about Serena Macafee, a photographer with a tragic past. Eleven years earlier, her twin sister was raped and murdered and Serena herself barely survived. Since that time she has basically shut down, put up walls and never let herself trust anymore. And she never let go of the guilt that she hadn't been able to save her sister. Now she is on a photographic assignment to take photos of sculptor Kevin Riley for a book. Right from the start there is an explosive chemistry between the two and they can't hold the passion at bay for long.
Trouble is brewing for Serena, though, as someone is stalking her, calling her with obscene messages, leaving "gifts" for her and possibly almost killing her. Serena doesn't see the point of going to the cops because of what happened with her sister's case so she keeps the events to herself. When Kevin finds out, he nearly goes through the roof. It's just further illustrates to him that though he's fallen in love with her, she still doesn't fully trust him. Serena will have to finally put the past behind her - and avoid death once again - if she hopes to have a future with Kevin.
The first thing I can think to say about this book is whew! Steamy and super hot! There are many sex scenes in this book. Too many? That's a good question. It's borderline. I don't think the book would have suffered if a couple of the scenes had been cut out or even just shortened. Then a little more time could have been spent on some areas I thought the book could have been improved. Or the book could have just been longer, leaving in all the sex, and add pages to include some of the stuff that needed work. In general, though, there was really only a moment of two where I thought "oh great, they're having sex yet again."
But hey, Kevin was super sexy and that whole Cajun thing? *sigh*
Serena, the heroine, is a total head-case. That girl has some serious issues. I kinda felt sorry for Kevin that he had to put up with them. This is the area where I thought the book could have been better. There needed to be more time spent on the emotional journey of the heroine. Serena has a lot to work through and I felt like her emotional growth was a bit stunted. It annoyed me that at the end of the book she changes in the blink of an eye. Its difficult to write a full review about Full Exposure if I am honest, because it was like reading a book that has been cut up and then been put back together again, not necessarily in the wrong order, but I definitely don't feel we were "Fully Exposed" to what was going on in the authors head as she was writing it.
I think it is possibly in need of further editing more than anything, as at points things got very confusing. For example Kevin had Serena tied to the bed, but she had her hands in his hair as he went down on her!! Now there is alot of naked and alot of sex in this book, but it is only at 93% into the story that we are told that Serena has a butterfly tattoo on her hip (unless I missed it being noted previously), but the biggest inconsistency is the name of the guy who is stalking her. I am not classing this as a spoiler as I am not giving anything away, but towards the end of the book, his name changes to someone completely different.
The sex is well written, non-repetitive and well thought out. I must admit that I did find it a bit grating that Serena screams at almost anything Kevin does to her, and again this is a little contradictory, as near the beginning of the book, Kevin said he liked her voice, and she got all funny with him as apparently she had damaged it from screaming constantly during another bad episode in her life. Also, I have never known a woman to cry so much during sex, mind you I have to say Kevin is apparently a machine in this department, I mean we are talking about constant no-stop tri-multiple orgasms here, and hard-ons that seem too never abate! Anyone with a normal Vajayjay may be in need of a Wheelchair and a rubber ring after a session with this guy, I kid you not.
Serena and Kevin themselves need further work, the Cajun endearments from Kevin got completely out of control and all the "Mon Dieu's", "Bebe" & "Cher's" were just annoying after a while. Serena has been trying to avoid relationships because of the horriffic murder of her sister. Serena drowns herself in her work and her subject is Kevin. A book is being completed for Kevin and Serena has the task to bring his image to the book.

I really hate not finishing a book but I just couldn't take this one anymore. I was highlighting and making notes more than I was reading. I really, REALLY wanted to like this. The blurb was great, it's got a fantastic and sexy cover and the lead characters name is Kevin Riley (that was my high school sweethearts name). What's not to love, right? And by the looks of it a lot of people have really enjoyed this book. Unfortunately I'm not one of those people.
So let's get to it then...
I felt like I was reading an outline of a great story but with no real direction. It felt like it was all over the place with conflicting character actions and unrealistic reactions. The sex scenes are really hot but I would have liked it better if I were watching porn on mute. Looks good but cheesy dialogue and no real emotion. Oh... there is emotion in disguise, but it felt all wrong.
Serena is flakey, conceded and vain.
"Though he had been pleasant enough when she had shown up on his doorstep two and a half days ago, he'd paid her almost no attention since. Used to a certain amount of attention from men, his complete lack of interest both annoyed and intrigued her."
You are getting ready to have sex with Kevin for the first time and...
"she had a moments concern about whether or not they would fit. She wasn't a small woman, but he was huge. She should have guess. Tall, large hands and feet. Only an idiot would have been caught by surprise."

Then later on she's staring at herself in the "ceiling mirror" and is turning herself on?
Serena is that too stupid to live character. If this were a horror movie, she'd be the first to die. She has a very frightening and tragic past so you'd think she'd be more cautious about some of her decision making. Nope, because she's TSTL . COME ON! Ten years ago your twin sister was brutally murdered and you almost died. You are now receiving "prank" calls from lord knows who with a voice changer and this person knows all the little details of your life. *creepy*What is the first thing you do... DONT CALL THE COPS and pass it off as some childs prank. What?? Really?? Do you watch scary movies?
Serena obviously has a hard time with darkness because of her sisters murder. DUH! I get it.... but call it what it is!! PTSD!! And deal with it appropriately. Did you really spend years "cultivating" your smooth outer shell? You let Kevin see what exactly? You cried because you're afraid of the dark? You told him about your past? I don't see any of that "smooth outer shell". Again, you're a flake and too stupid to live.

So you give her a beer. All chicks love beer. Then start making out with her and BANG! "She was the woman he wanted more than he'd wanted anything for more years than he could count."
We're only 15% in and you've known each other for 2 days, you haven't even slept together yet at this point. We, the reader, don't even get the luxury of witnessing those 2 days. Stop acting like a bitch Kevin... "She had to understand that she couldn't run from this thing that was between them. Really? What thing? Serena then insults him and tells him he's not a gentleman? *WTF* Bitch he held you all night and didn't take advantage of you while you slept. Then when Serena and Kevin do have sex for the first time and she's getting out of bed, Kevin's all like "What kind of game is Serena playing? From cold to hot and back to cold? With no warning or explanation?" OMG! Let her pee!
2% - "Click, whirr" is annoying. I know she's taking pictures but I don't need 2 pages of short 3 word sentences and Click whirr between all of them. I get it... she's taking pictures. "Click, whirr. This was it. Click Whirr. The picture she had been waiting for all night. Click, whirr. The shot that would make her famous. Click, whirr. Sculpting Ecstasy. Click, whirr. Bending metal to his every command. Click, whirr. A work of art. Click, whirr. Of genius. Click, whirr. Was she speaking of Kevin or his work? Click, whirr. Perhaps both." And it goes on and on.

(see 24% above) "They'd planned a simple sexual encounter and she'd gone and complicated it." and then "If he turned the most amazing sex of her life into a pity fuck she'd completely lose it." This is in the same paragraph! First... Serena is the one who practically raped Kevin. She unleashed her inner whore! He held off as long as he could because he knew she wasn't in a good place at that moment, but he's a guy and if you're offering... they're accepting.
28% - Shower scene... "He looked up, his intense blue eyes holding her own as he slowly slipped her toe into his mouth and began to suck." I understand that there are a lot of people out there who like this but I am most certainly not one of them. This is a hard limit for me. If you put your face near my foot... you can expect to get kicked in the face. NOOOO!!! Get that damn foot out of yo mouth!
30% - Well, why not? Let's see if we can drown this scene by throwing all different sex tropes in it. Uncontrolled lust and giving in followed immediately by regret. Shower and washing her hair then making out and sucking feet (eek). Then there's the back and forth of yes I do and no I don't and maybe this isn't a good idea, so let's do it and then tying her up and now there's a mirror on the ceiling and she's turning herself on. Then you beg him to stop after you just begged him to keep going. Can't forget about multiple orgasms. Serena is like a walking clit. She'd fuck a stiff wind if she thought she could. My head is spinning. Don't forget about the anal play.. which brings me to my next topic.

Overall, I think you can guess how I really feel about this. Incomplete and unbelievable characters and story with unrealistic reactions to situations. The little bit I did read I felt like I was missing something. Maybe there was prequel that I missed or a prologue that I was supposed to have in my copy and didn't. It was all wrong and poorly executed. At certain points in the story the author tried to create conflict but only ended up making the characters seem like they were lost psychotic bitches. Serena is the onlyheroine female lead that I've ever read and completely and truly hated. Kevin was trying to be all bad boy and failed miserably. The sex scenes that I read felt like the author was trying to throw everything in at once and it made it feel cluttered and forced. I don't think I will be reading this author again since this is the second book I've not been able to finish of hers. There are a lot of good reviews out about this book, but it's just not for me personally.

*Fans self* True erotica! And I loved every minute of it. What I most liked was the emotional state of the heroine. The mystery villain isn’t bad either he’s a true whacko. It took me well past the middle of the book to even find out who he really was.

I was so bored with this book! I couldn't finished. I love a good sexy book but people must know that you cant crowd a story with sex! A lot of sex does not make a good book.

The gist: Serena is a photographer and Kevin is a sculptor. They have the same agent and have been paired up for Serena to do a photo essay/book on Kevin. While they are growing closer to each other, Serena has a stalker who isn't very happy with her.
Okay, so I SO BADLY wanted to give this book 4 or even 5 stars, but I had to sleep on it and settled for 3. The reason being that Serena's turmoil was driven into the ground for me. She was CONSTANTLY thinking/talking about how she couldn't love because she was damaged, even though she admitted she loved Kevin. Also, the detail inconsistency was driving me INSANE!!! Details like Serena being tied to the bed while Kevin is banging her, but then her hands are in his hair and THEN he unites her hands. Details like he wasn't wearing a shirt but then she's peeling his shirt off. Details like he pulls a silk t-shirt over his head to put it on, but then he's buttoning his shirt and later he's wearing a tie. And then there is the then/than confusion... It scares the SHIT out of me that the author bio says she's an English professor, but almost EVERY time 'then' or 'than' is used, it's the wrong one. THEN denotes a time frame: 'Then she baked a cake.' THAN denotes a choice or comparison: 'She liked chocolate better than vanilla.' It's REALLY not that hard!!! And there's almost nothing more frustrating for a reader (or at least my grammar Nazi self) THAN an author (or editor) who doesn't know the difference between the two words. One or two times and I can give the benefit of the doubt that it was maybe a typo that just wasn't caught. But when it's EVERY time, that's an issue for me... So given these three issues, I went with 3 stars on an otherwise great story.
I liked Serena, but my God the chick needed to learn to pull up her big girl panties and get the fuck over herself! Yeah, she was almost killed (11 YEARS AGO) by her sister's boyfriend and her sister WAS killed, but DAMN!!! I imagine that would cause some psychological issues and whatnot and I know people who can't get over their grief. But this bitch was 50 shades of crazy. And for someone who was justifiably paranoid, she was oblivious as all Hell! And I CAN'T STAND IT when the heroine, who is a grown ass, independent, 'strong' woman RUNS AWAY from the the tiniest hint of connection and feeling for someone else.
Kevin was pretty much everything you could want in a hero. He was tall, broad-shouldered, broody, sexy as sin, a temperamental artist type with a marshmallow center. What's not to love? I almost wish he was a tiny bit MORE alpha, though, to just put Serena in her place and not let her run away from him.
The story was suspenseful as far as the stalker aspect goes. My first hunch was correct, although I did have suspicions about someone else for a bit... And the stalker was sufficiently fucked up and made my skin crawl.
I LOVE a good, hot, panty-dripping sex scene. I can go with multiple orgasms to an extent. But when she's having 10-15 orgasms EVERY. TIME. THEY. FOOL. AROUND. I start rolling my eyes and skipping shit. And while I can appreciate authors emphasizing safe sex with constant condom references, it loses me when they have spontaneous shower sex or pull the car over on the side of the road sex without mention of a condom because, seriously, who brings a condom in the shower with them and what man just wears a condom all day long in case he has to pull over to the side of the road to fuck some sense into his woman...??? Details like that stick in my craw and hinder my ability to enjoy an otherwise great story. Maybe it's a deficiency within myself as a reader, but reviews are all about your feelings about something, yeah?
Anyway, I've enjoyed Ms. Wolff's books thus far and will continue to read them. I liked the story itself. I just felt like it would've been better with about 50 pages of prolonged multiple orgasm sex scenes and constant, repetitious dwelling on the past cut out of it, that's all. I'd still recommend it to anyone who likes erotica, romance, and suspense.

Serena is a photographer who's latest subject is Kevin, an artist. Neither is looking for a relationship but sparks fly from the beginning. Serena has dealt with the horrific and tragic loss of her twin sister. Kevin has been burned before by a woman who only wanted him for his connections. After spending day upon day together they can no longer ignore their attraction towards each other.
To say there is major heat between these two doesn't do them justice. But as always along the way one fell in love while the other held back. There is a bit of suspense that has to do with Serena's past. Kevin attempts to step in but Serena fights him along the way. I did applaud the fact that Serena didn't want to need the support of a man but there were times I was screaming at her to just let Kevin help out!!
There is a HEA, however I must admit that the way the book ended had me a big confused. I kept thinking that maybe my copy was cut short?
Overall this was a great read and I thank NetGalley for the copy.

Before I review let me say that I love so many other books written by Tracy Wolff so I still recommend many of her other books...just not this one.
This review will be short as I can't bring myself to relive a book I really loved right up until the last paragraph of the book.
I would have given this book 4 1/2 stars until I read the last paragraph. The last paragraph ruined the whole book for me. It took away from everything that the author had worked hard to create between the hero and heroine. I just don't get it.

Serena Macafee is running from a tragic past that she would prefer to forget but can't. It's hard to forget being there while your twin sister was being murdered by Damien LaFleur. Instead she throws herself into her work as a photographer. Her latest assignment is with Kevin Riley, famed reclusive sculptor in the wetlands of Baton Rouge, who happens to be drop dead gorgeous and looks like he could provide her some extra benefits! ;)
After spending more time together, things quickly heat up between Serena and Kevin. Kevin realizes that he wants more from Serena than she wants to give but he is going to be patient. As Kevin tries to break through Serena's defenses, he realizes that someone is out to harm her. The incidents seem to be happening since Damien was recently released from prison. Serena and Kevin, along with the Baton Rouge law enforcement, try to figure out if Damien is really involved.
After a final, explosive ending, Serena and Kevin were finally able to have their happy ending. I really enjoyed Kevin. He was a sweet, caring guy who spoke French to Serena all the time.....so sexy! He was just the type of guy to bring Serena back to really living her life again. Overall this was a quick, interesting read with a twist of a mystery added in.

This was a great story & I would have gave it 5* or at least 4.5* but it ended on a dime. Why do authors do that? A good book needs the chapter completley finished not half way or at least an epilogue & not one that is an afterthought. It makes me feel like the author got tired of writing or her deadline came & everything was tied up in a bow & that's it. Otherwise this was a great story with all the pieces. Although Serena did scream too many times during sex. I was like really? Not again. A good read with an abrupt ending. Loved Kevin Reilly.

For whatever reason - maybe it was my mood -this just didn't really work for me, so I was reading and reading and then I was more read-skimming- and it felt like it was just a bunch until the inevitable end. I think it was the wangst, which hadn't been so prevalent in the second part.

Hard to sympathize with a heroine making stupid decisions while being stalked.
STORY BRIEF:
Damien stabbed Sandra to death and then stabbed her twin sister Serena who survived. He was in jail for ten years. Damien’s family is powerful and used their influence to get him a light sentence. He is being released. Someone has been stalking Serena and making threatening phone calls. The reader believes it may be Damien. Serena is a photographer who has been commissioned to do a photographic book about the popular sculptor Kevin. She stays at his home/studio in the swamp area near Baton Rouge for a few weeks to take pictures. They fall in lust/love with each other. The stalker starts doing more than phone calls. Serena doesn’t tell anyone about the phone calls, and she believes the stalker’s other harmful activities are coincidental accidents.
REVIEWER’S OPINION:
It seems that most of the story consists of sex scenes between Serena and Kevin. Some of these scenes felt mechanical and were a little boring. However, my major problem was Serena. She doesn’t want to fall in love with anyone because she fears she might be hurt in the future if she loses him. She resists Kevin because she feels bad luck follows her, and therefore she will be bad for him. She is hot to him one minute and cold the next, telling him to back off. When she is in trouble, she never calls anyone for help, not even the police. Even when she is physically attacked, she doesn’t call anyone to help her because she doesn’t want anyone else to be in danger. I had trouble feeling sympathy for her – too stupid to do reasonable things to help herself. Kevin is the kind of guy we all like, but I had one minor problem with him. When he is fighting the stalker, Kevin does something stupid and almost gets himself killed because of it. On balance, too many things bothered me to be able to recommend it.
Examples of Serena’s logic (which bothered me) follows. Page 266: “She was afraid of losing control and having all of her past, all of the darkness inside of her, boil up and onto Kevin…. She was so afraid that she would absorb Kevin into her, destroying him for all time….(she ran away) because it was best for him.” Page 272 Serena tells Kevin: “I didn’t think that I deserved you, didn’t think that I could really make you happy. Not with all my fears and my baggage and my incredibly boring blandness.” Some readers may be ok with this, I wasn’t.

It looks like Full Exposure is a re-release for Tracy Wolff as it was originally published back in 2009. Since I didn’t read it back then, it’s all new to me!
Photographer Serena Macafee has a tragic past. A shocking and brutal crime ten years before has left her closed off and unable to move on with her life. She’s assigned to photograph Kevin Riley, a sexy but temperamental and reclusive sculptor who lives in the Bayou of Louisiana. Kevin has his own issues after a previous lover betrayed him, leaving it difficult for him to trust others. When Serena and Kevin come together, undeniable chemistry leads both into a blazing affair. Kevin believes Serena is worth risking it all for but Serena can’t let go of the past or trust herself to move forward. Neither Serena or Kevin realize that new dangers are present and eventually will threaten both of them.
I’ll go ahead and say, if you don’t like damaged heroine’s, over the top drama, or romantic suspense storylines that are more erotic than actual suspense, this probably isn’t the book for you. Luckily for me, none of those things were issues for me. I love a damsel in distress story and appreciate a lot of heat in my romances, no matter the genre. Serena seemed to be on the verge of a breakdown at various points in the book. Kevin was quite a surprise. I wasn’t expecting to find a hero with such alpha tendencies but Kevin definitely liked to make demands and could be a bit bossy. Score!
The sex is steamy and definitely plentiful.
“You want me to stop swirling my tongue around your nipple? To stop stroking your clit with my thumb? Stop thrusting my fingers inside that hot little ass of yours? Inside your beautiful ____? But you’re so hot, so wet and tight around my fingers. You feel so good. I can’t stop and you wouldn’t want me to if I could.”
Like I said, if you don’t like a good dose of erotica with your suspense, this probably isn’t the book for you. This is the first book I’ve read by Tracy Wolff and I would definitely read more in the future. What it lacked in actual content it made up for in steam and that suited my mood the day I read it. Overall,a sexy read I enjoyed.

Kevin gets 5 stars and Serena gets 2. The plot gets 4 stars, but due to a couple issues I had to deduct a couple of points from the overall score and go with 3 stars.
Story: Serena is doing a photo essay for a book on Kevin Riley, a famous sculpture artist with a reputation for a bad attitude and reclusive nature. While Serena isn't chopped liver, this is the kind of work that could really skyrocket her career. Unfortunately, it takes her no time to realize that her lust-o-meter is off the charts for Kevin. Unbeknownst to Serena, Kevin feels the same way. At the time that these 2 act on the feelings, the electricity goes out due to the story outside and Serena panics. Due to the brutal murder of her twin and attempted murder on her 11 years ago, she has some issues. She's afraid of the dark, needs to be in control, doesn't have serious relationships, dislikes the police, has no friends, doesn't trust people, has very little relationship with her family (are you getting the point yet?!). Ok I'm going overboard a little, but it's pretty close. But I digress...due to the situation, Serena finds herself leaning on Kevin and he's incredibly sweet with her. She ends up leaving right after that to go to the parole hearing for her sisters murderer and he gets out of jail. She's distraught and goes to Kevin a bit earlier than planned. He can see right through her and again she leans on him in her time of need. We also find out that Serena'd been getting nasty phone calls from a crazy stalker.
So the plot is good. The sex scenes are hot. All good things. Serena's wishy-washy ways drive me nuts and so did the following issues. We also get to see the perspective of the crazy guy, which the criminal minds part of me likes.
When she comes face to face with the crazy stalker, there are 2 different times that Serena refers to the stalker thinking of her as her dead sister or of him calling her that. There is NOTHING in the story that suggests these things.
In chapter 4, we get the first glimpse of the crazy guy's perspective. Sadly, this glimpse had me identifying straight away who he was. Only a couple people had been mentioned at this point in the story and he pointed something out about everybody but 1. Hmmm
I'm pretty sure there was an extra paragraph at the end of my book. It makes no sense to what was happening in the story. I read it about 10 times trying to make sense of it before I finally said it had to have been an error.

I'm pretty sure there was an extra paragraph at the end of my book. It makes no sense to what was happening in the story. I read it about 10 times trying to make sense of it before I finally said it had to have been an error.
What happened to the LaFleur family?!?!?
It was like everything was going great and somebody said "Ok. You've got 5 minutes left to finish the book!" This was an ARC copy, though, so maybe these things will get corrected.

This is a story about a woman coming to terms with her tragic past and facing her demons. She does this by moving forward with her life while still being dragged back into her past involuntarily. Serena is a survivor. She is strong to a fault and tries to ensure that she only needs to block out her emotions and fears and not let anyone close enough to break through the shield that she has built around her heart and secure inner sanctum. That inner sanctum is about to come tumbling around her as her next assignment is supper Hot sculptor Keven Riley.
Kevin is a bit of a recluse himself preferring solitude and peace to people. He lives in a swamp where he builds these beautiful sculptures from nothing. They are so profound and meaningful that he is the hottest thing since sliced bread and everyone wants a piece of Kevin. He’s a brooder and a loaner that just wants to be left alone. Until Serena is assigned to work with him to create a book about Kevin Riley and who he is through his art. She is a photographer that takes beautiful pictures of Kevin as he sculpts his next project.
Unfortunately for both of them, they seem too preoccupied with each other. Kevin sculpts but he can’t seem to get his mind off of Serena. And Serena, she is taking pictures of Kevin but the pictures she is capturing – his ass – aren’t really the book worthy kind she needs. The romance blossoms from there but can Serena let her walls down enough to let Kevin in. Can Kevin penetrate the facade that Serena has built to protect her and save her from herself and her other demons that continue to lurk from her past?
I really liked this book. It was a great start to an intense love story. Both characters were beautifully defined and strongly conveyed. The author did a great job in providing enough back story to get the reader invested enough to keep reading. The storyline kept me turning page after intense page to find out how it all played out. I was in the dark about who exactly was Serena’s ‘demon’ until it was revealed and that scene was intense enough to make me jump at every noise in my house for the next several pages as it unfolded. I would give this book a solid 4 stars and would recommend to any of you reading this….please put it on your ‘to read’ list. It’s worth the time to read it and try out this author if you haven’t before. I definitely will be looking up her other books and giving her another try.

Serena Macafee has a dark past she never seems to be able to leave behind. Assigned to work on a book with the reclusive and enigmatic sculptor, Kevin Riley, she joins him in his bayou retreat for their collaboration, where aside from the weather outside, things inside are quick to heat up as well.
Always leery of any kind of serious commitment, Serena is not adverse to convenient temporary indulgence, and Kevin most definitely can provide that. The occasional threatening phonecall she receives, barely penetrates her lust-induced haze and nothing is ever mentioned.
When Kevin starts voicing more permanent sounding feelings, and Serena can no longer deny her own, her panic sets in. Afraid of what love can do to her, she runs home to Baton Rouge where she finds her past catching up with her.
Kevin is torn between giving Serena her space and keeping her safe. Choose one and he could chase her away for good, choose the other and she could end up in the hands of a mad man.

Even without ever having set foot in the sultry heat of the Louisiana bayou......I can now vividly imagine the sweaty, steamy sexy reality of it......
Great for a hot read, simply ok in terms of a story. The story was drowned out by all the heat, which is not necessarily a bad thing, it just means that the scales tipped in one direction and the balance wasn't there. Clearly the focus was on the erotica and it was done very well. I thought the promise of the suspense portion of the book was great, but not nearly worked through and fleshed out to its full potential.
The characters lacked some context, especially Kevin, who, although super sexy with the Cajun tongue, really was provided with none. Serena we learn a bit about, but for instance there is mention that she has no or barely any contact with her parents, yet it really isn't clarified properly. It left me with more questions than answers.
Overall, this was a great late night read, when you are ready for bed or already in it!
