En ningún momento entendí cual era la lógica de la trama. Me gusta mucho esta escritora pero este libro es terrible.

No real substance

Heather Graham is one of my favorite authors. However, this book disappoints. I read half way through and just couldn’t continue.

Strangers have a chance meeting at a pond. They wind up making love. Serena runs a B&B and Justin is a guest. They become obsessed with each other and, while Serena tries to avoid Justin the attraction is too strong. Justin pursues her. This goes on without any depth, in my opinion.

I would have liked to see them work together on Justin’s project and maybe they do but the book didn’t hold my interest long enough to see.

Past Present

Reincarnation? Ghosts? Rampant Imagination? Magic? Whatever it is, it is happening in present day Salem, Massachusetts. This book opens with one of the most sensual, magical, sexual encounters that I have read. Then it devolves into the present day insecurities of Serena, who continues nervous, doubtful, indecisive and fearful throughout the rest of the book. Justin has his work cut out for him. Interwoven is a historical tragedy tied up with the old Inn, the witch trials and the Hawk family. Excellent plot, with a increasing aura of a deadly fate. Nice.
