A billion stars!!! 🌟 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I am 60 years old and although I grew up since I was born with parents that gathered us around the breakfast table each morning to read the Bible together, this was my first time to read it chronologically. WOW!! I am in awe of how my understanding has been opened up about who God is, His love for His people, and how He has strived through the centuries to have a relationship with humanity.

People ask why is the Bible different from other books? My answer is: Because it is a ‘living’ book. There is no other book you can pick up every day of your life and read it and not get tired of it, or not get something out of it that spiritually quickens you. No book even comes close. It is, GOD’S WORD.

My plan is to read completely through the Bible each year for the rest of my time here on earth. I cannot encourage it enough. It is life changing.

I followed a Bible plan online ( from Bible Study Tools) that really helped me to keep up with the reading so as to not get behind. There are several out there if anyone is wanting to take on this project. 🥰

I did it! It took me 14 months and 13 days, but I am so glad I read this! I followed a study guide that spelled out what chapters to read. It didn't always match this Bible, so I jumped around in that a little bit. It encouraged me to write about what I read - important passages, what spoke to me about them, and then a prayer. I think that really helped me to dig deep into it. Reading the Bible chronologically gives you a completely different perspective of it. There is so much additional information in this version that I didn't fully explore. At some point, I will go back through it and just read all of the insights that those things have to offer. Love this Bible!

LOVED this Bible! The timelines, graphs, charts, maps, historical and archaeological info were absolutely terrific! While it is possible to just use a chronological Bible reading guide, all the helps in this Bible add so much to the experience!! 1 star deducted because I felt the application notes were not that well done. Still...an outstanding Bible!! (Also, I wish it was available in the NIV, ESV, or NASB. Not a big fan of the NLT so I did the KJV (which can be a bit difficult to read at times)

Though I will forever give “the Bible” a five star rating, this particular copy was hard to get through. The commentary is ok but extremely basic with tiring repetition. It made me feel as if I were reading every passage twice then having the commentator read it back to me in slightly different wording. Perhaps the commentary was written to be read as individual snippets in a standard Bible layout rather than straight through in chronological order. Either way, this is my least favorite chronological Bible out of four and I don’t plan to revisit it. The timeline is a strong point as are the integrated maps and I am happy to see so many people have enjoyed it! The things I saw as negatives may be what someone else is looking for. It would be good for new believers or for anyone wishing to read it in a fresh format.

There are a lot of notes and the print is kind of small but lots of good information. I highly recommend reading the Bible chronologically.

yndale Chronological Life Application Study Bible
King James Version
Published by Tyndale House Publishers

The Chronological Life Application Study Bible presents the Bible in a chronological manner. Rather than being broken down into the books we are all familiar with the Bible is presented in a historical timeline. Naturally Genesis still starts everything off because as it says "In the beginning God created..."

But there is some much more that this Bible has to offer - there is a complete Biblical timeline in which Biblical events and significant world events are shown in relation to one another.

There are also short yet concise biographical overview of key people in the Bible with scriptural references to where they are mention throughout the Bible

There are also themes to the various sections and those delved into and major events, people, geographical settings, and Biblical books are presented at the beginning of the section. Likewise between the two Testaments a short overview of the history and major events effecting the Hebrew people and the world is presented setting the world scene for Jesus' birth.

I really like the Section overviews and the Chronological Header System that lets you know what time period your current Bible passage is in. At the back of the Bible there is a Book-by-Book where the books are individually presented with an overview and the main themes/message. There is also a Dictionary/Concordance and region maps to further bring greater understanding of the Bible. Also I also found the Biblical Calendar very interesting comparing our modern months to Hebrew and Babylonian months.

I will admit it takes a little bit of time to get used to the Bible not being in a book format - I especially found this to be true in the Gospels rather than in the Old Testament. But it was interesting seeing and reading the Gospels together in this format. But the beauty and poetic appeal of the language of the KJV still comes through. This is definitely a Bible that have an appeal to anyone wanting to study the historical aspects of the Bible.

I was provided a copy of this Bible by the publisher in exchange for my honest review.
