About the author

Hampton is a native St. Louis, with a gift and passion for writing. She maintained journals for several years, but it wasn’t until she read Terry McMillan’s Disappearing Acts that she considered taking her writing adventures to another level.



In 2002, Hampton completed her memoir, along with two fiction novels: Two's Enough Three's a Crowd and How Can I Be Down? The following year, she completed thrilling sequels to both novels and additional bestselling novels followed thereafter.



Hampton is known for bringing the heat to readers, and her literary career is filled with many accomplishments. She is an Essence Magazine Bestselling Author, she was named a Favorite Female Fiction writer in Upscale Magazine by O.O.S.A., she is a 2009 African American Literary Award Nominee for her mystery novel, The Dirty Truth, and was awarded Best Female Writer by Infini Promoters. *Sighs* Jaylin Jaylin Jaylin.... Okay I know what Nokea did was messed up but nothing compared to the shyt he put her through. I'm sorry the whole entire read I just kept saying, "Come on hun, MOVE ON on his a**" lol. && I tried liking or hoping to learn to like Scorpio but her and her spoiled lil brat got on my nerves! It should have always been Jaylin and Nokea but then again, she was another one that got on my nerves for not kicking his sorry butt to the curb. Whatever. I was a little confused though, because in book one, this was never what was suppose to happen next, like the ending just didn't continue from where it left off, or add up. But I kind of liked it this way, because it was such a good story, I'm glad there are more. This was did drag out a little bit too, for me, but overall, I so HYPE about book 3, Mr. Jaylin just doesn't know what to do, and its all catching up to him, Idk if I feel bad for him, or happy he's finally getting what he deserves and a wake up call. Lol, smh I'm acting like he's a real person. Anyway, book 3 please !

SCREAMING...After book 1 I said I wasn't going to read anymore because the women were really pissing me off, however the curiosity won't let me QUIT!

Jaylin is a D*** FOOL and I see that will never change, I actually have to laugh at him so I won't have an anxiety attach! Both Jaylin & Stephon's mama need to be raised from the dead and beat for having such idiots!
Anyway, I am glad to see Nokea attempting to have a little happiness in her life but I just know it won't last long, because Jaylin has such a strong hold on her heart it's crazy.
I have said it over & over & over again when will Jaylin wewe fall off LOL

As Naughty As Ever,

After getting to know Jaylin Rogers in "Naughty" I couldn't wait to open "Naughty 2: My Way or the Highway." Jaylin's already big ego is even bigger and his demands are even harder to meet. While Nokea said no, she still loves Jaylin. Unfortunately their time together has come to an end. Scorpio hopes that this means that she's finally the winner, but she's disappointed to learn that Jaylin is still up to his old games. For the sake of the children, Nokea and Scorpio are trying to deal with him, but now, he's more tactless and refusing any part of a compromise.

After learning things about his past and living with so many losses, Jaylin is finally ready to call a truce. With all that he has said and done will he be able to reconnect to the people he loves?

"Naughty 2: My Way or the Highway" was even harder to put down and I can't wait to see what happens in "Naughty 3: Change Don't Always Come."

Jaylin, Jaylin, Jaylin....You can't try to drop women to change, then add more! It don't work that way. And the drama continues. My brother needs to find out what or who he wants since he don't really play the game that well. Just when I thought I narrowed down the end game, new folks just bust up my bracket! I almost just feel like going to the last book and just read it, lol! I won't. I'm still putting my money on Scorpio for some reason. Nokea messed up in my book by hooking up with his cousin. Very uncool. I'm thinking about putting myself in this book just so I could revoke his playa card. Overall, I'm still enjoying this series. The ending was kind of crazy but still a great read. Check it out!

This is another must read...I loved this one too...This is a really good book...I could not put this book down...Jaylin is a character...It's like you love to hate him...but then you hate to love him...In this book Nokea finally got the courage to try and move on...Do I think she will keep it up? Nope...I still want her with Jaylin for some reason..She is really too good for him...I wasn't really feeling Scorpio at first...but she is actually trying to stand on her own....You gotta respect her for that...even tho she keeps running back...and that new chick Daisha, I'm not sure about her just yet...I feel she may be up to something...we shall see....However Nanny B did come out the closet, but for some reason I'm not trusting her either....but we shall see...All I can say is, I have a brother just like Jaylin...SMH...I'm starting to understand him a little better after reading this....lol..

I hate Jaylin.....No, no, I love Jaylin.....sometimes I HATE JAYLIN,,BUT I WILL ALWAYS LOVE JAYLIN...

OMG, this book has you on a roller coaster ride of emotions. Jaylin and his ways will make you want to cuss, but you can't help but have a soft spot for his compassion for his children. It's just the way that he treats the women....well some of the time anyway, that makes you LOVE TO HATE TO LOVE JAYLIN.....

Wow this book was juicy and picked up right where it left off at. Tbh I think Nokea did the right thing not marrying Jaylin because in my opinion both of them wasn’t ready. The ending had me cracking up because Scorpio really thought he was going to change😭😭😭. Like girl he had a problem with commitment before he got with u so what u think just because u do something a little different in the bedroom that still won’t keep him from cheating?🤔 You can’t keep a man that doesn’t want to be kept🤷🏾‍♀️, no matter how good u sex him or if u keep taking him back OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN. Honestly I think the Daisha situation was just plain irresponsibility if Jaylin would’ve thought with his head instead of with his dick 80% of the time. Overall I’m happy that Nokea is the only one with the the least drama from him all she got is his first son and a new man. Tbh I feel like Jaylin and Nokea is going to make their way back together again, but things will just have to play out for Jaylin to truly get it together. I also feel like Jaylin really needs time to heal himself physically, mentally, and spiritually. And stop sexing and catching feelings for women he has no intentions to commit to. He’s not a young like that in his 20s so he knows better to be playing these games like a change. On the way to Naughty 3 tho👌🏾😋

I really hate the Jaylin character and the portrayal of each female character including the Nanny who is an enabler of men’s poor behavior and choices. I keep reading because I’m hoping that a life lesson will finally occur that shows it’s not okay to be a narcissist. But two books in and the physical and mental abuse continues (unapologetically at that), the immaturity of not just being able to say he is polyamorous and finding like minded women, constantly referring to his “measurements” and thinking that it’s enough to make women be grateful to have been chosen for the ride, absolutely zero impulse control and the continuous unprotected sex even after contracting an STD. And then let’s throw in a random story line for the nanny. I think I continue reading because I’ve convinced myself that there will eventually be a life changing point to it all at the very end and I’ve invested so much time already that I don’t want to miss it. 😆

I wasn’t ready for that ending but all I can say is he’s getting exactly what he deserves! And it’s so crazy that there are women and men out here really living their lives like this! All I can say is he’s a piece of work and for him to hold a grudge with Nokea like he’s done makes no sense but that’s just like a 🥷 can dish it out but can’t handle it when someone else does it to him !! I’m so excited to see how this series ends !

Rough Ride

Back and clearly brokenhearted, Jaylin Rogers has vowed to be even more selfish and self serving than even before. Nokea said no! And while it has taken Jaylin a minute to fully understand that, he's not really ready to let go of her. As for Scorpio, she knows where his heart is, but she'd just like to hear him say it at least once. If Jaylin's hands weren't already full enough, add a married damsel in distress and a virtuous woman to the mix and Jaylin is back on top of everything. Or is he?

While he knows that what he and Nokea shares is genuine, he can't seem to forget that she betrayed him. Scorpio is dangerously close to disappointing Jaylin, but finds that she's disappointing herself more. When given the ultimatum to get in line or move on, Scorpio moves on. Problem is she loves him and all she wants is for him to adjust himself for her. While Scorpio is on sabbatical, Jaylin finds someone else to keep him company. Daisha is everything that Jaylin wants in a woman. However, Scorpio is irreplaceable despite the fact that she didn't meet all of his requirements. Is he really ready to make adjustments? Or is Scorpio wasting her time singing another sad love song?

NAUGHTY BOOK TWO: MY WAY OR THE HIGHWAY by Brenda Hampton is the ish! I usually fear reading sequels for fear that the author may forget to add the same finesse that invoked you to want to continue with the characters. However, Jaylin is still out of control and has you on edge as you continue page turning with the hopes of seeing what he could possibly get into next. I'm looking forward to how Jaylin is going to get himself out of this new mess brewing.

Jaylin’s Way or No Way

Nokea is torn by the love she has for Jaylin and determined to make sure that Jaylin is a part of their son, LJ’s life, since she previously tried to prevent this. Nokea wants the two of them to be a family in the worst way but she soon realizes that Jaylin has changed drastically since she turned down his proposal.

Scorpio, is also in love with Jaylin and she is tired of his cruel and disrespectful ways towards her. Although she hates playing games, she decides to do something drastic, in the hopes that Jaylin will realize what he has in her. Little does she realize that it may just push him into the arms of another.

Who will Jaylin choose if anyone? Will Jaylin change his ways?

Naughty 2: MY WAY OR THE HIGHWAY by Brenda Hampton was an excellent book that will have you constantly turning the pages. Jaylin is the type of character that will work your nerves, with his arrogant, disrespectful and trifling ways. Although it is hard to place the blame totally on Jaylin, because the women in his life allow him to treat them like he does. This novel will definitely work your nerves. I would definitely recommend this series to anyone looking for a great read. If I had to rate this book on a scale 1-10, I would have to give this book 10 stars.

Jaylin is up to is usually tricks in this one, but it seems that his women have finally somewhat come to their senses. Nokea seems to have partially moved on with Collins, but she will always love Jaylin no matter what he puts her through. Scorpio always seemed like a super confident woman, but it seemed like over time Jaylin wore her down just like he did to everyone else. She really took the time to get herself together and you can't help but be proud of her for that. Although Jaylin is definitely a low down dirty dog, you can't help but give him his props because he is 100% honest with everyone. I just wish the man would use some darn condom's! He is lucky he has only caught gonorrhea in the first book and nothing more serious. Now enter Daisha....I hope she doesn't add to much more drama to the mix because lord knows they can all use a break from the b-s. This series is certainly entertaining so far, so on to the next one!

Exhausting

This book and the characters just made my head hurt. I literally can't stand Jaylin, and I found myself having to remind myself several times that he's just a fictional character. The women are so dicmatized, it's ridiculous and I could no longer feel any ounce of sympathy for any of them when Jaylin mentally, emotionally, sexually, and physically abused them, because they allowed it. Just when I told myself I can't read another book about these people, Brenda threw a monkey wrench at the end of the book, and my curiosity has me wanting to know what will happen next.

I'm really wondering does a man like this truly exists? The young and restless don't have nothing on the way Breanda brings the sex , lies, infidelity menage trois and the drama. Please get this series Jaylin will have you hating him one min then you will love him. You will thank he have changed ( NOPE) he went back to the same old Jaylin. This book will not disappoint you .
