Three lovelorn lady vampires long for Dracul Duck, the best vampire dancer in Crittervania, to take one of them for his bride--and not just "till death do us part"! So when Dracul Duck finds a new dance partner at the Critter Falls Fair, the would-be brides are willing to take almost any steps to get rid of her. But watch out, ladies! Dracul Duck is planning some special moves of his own. Illustrated in full color.
This was the last Critters of the Night chapter book I needed to read. Sadly. This is such a fantastic and underrated series I never hear get talked about or mentioned - probably because it's long been out of print and was short lived at only 6 books.
The Vampire Brides is one of the more cozy entries, along with the first book in the series, and lacks the high stakes action and suspense of some of the later entries. Mainly for this reason it would fall somewhere near the bottom of my ranking of this series, but is still an enjoyable read as a fan of these, and the characters especially. Erica Farber and J.R. Sansevere did an excellent job in this Little Critter spinoff and creating a fun, vivid setting and memorable characters.
Overall, The Vampire Brides gets a 3⭐
My ranking of the series is probably something like this:
1. Night of the Walking Dead Part 1 - 4⭐ 2. Night of the Walking Dead Part 2 - 3.75⭐ 3. The Headless Gargoyle - 3.5⭐ 4. Zombies Don't Do Windows - 3.5⭐ 5. Werewolves for Lunch - 3⭐ 6. The Vampire Brides - 3⭐
