Jake is in a hurry and keeps forgetting things. He forgets to put on his shoes before leaving the house and he forgets his bike at the shops. But Jake remembers the most important thing of all.
Dyan Sheldon is the author of many novels for young adult readers, including the #1 New York Times bestseller CONFESSIONS OF A TEENAGE DRAMA QUEEN, which was made into a major motion picture. American by birth, she lives in North London.
This was one of my sons favourites when he was small. The story is about jake and how he always forgets to do something. In the morning he puts on his clothes, brushes his teeth, but he forgot one thing....the reader is then left in suspense until you turn the page each time to see what it is Jake forgot. At the end of the book he doesn't forget one very important thing. The reading style is simple with large text and very easy for the older child to read alone. The illustrations are well done with funny little things to see in the background unrelated to the story.
