Wonderful roundup of physiological systems and experimental observations of nonlinear dynamical phenomena. Authors are honest about what can and cannot be inferred from the available data. Some experience with dynamical systems is required.

The only thing I understood is that the butterfly effect makes prediction of the future nigh-impossible.
