明治から昭和初期の劇作家・小説家である岡本綺堂の小説。初出は「文藝倶楽部」［1928（昭和3）年］。神田の法律学校に通っていたSは弁護士試験の会場で決まって現われる痩せ型で背の高い、髪の白い女を見てしまう。下宿場のおかみである伊佐子が自殺。はたして髪の白い女と関係や如何に。妖気漂う綺堂の名作怪談。

I mean, The White Hair Ghost makes no sense at all. If someone saw his new landlady’s daughter looks exactly like the ‘ghost’ who hunted him for years, he would ran as fast as he could and never look back.
